AlfieJacksmummy · 15/07/2007 22:58

Im so sad and lonely and sick (cue dramtic coughs!!)
Why have you all got lives and im sat here like an ugly snot monster

CharleeWeasley · 16/07/2007 08:12

Morning all

I thought i would just pop in for an update before i take jack to playschool.

On a high note my sisters wedding went really well and i can truley say how proud i was tp be her sister when she walked up the aisle looking so beautiful. Its everything she has always wanted and im really happy for them.

On a low note however the dr's have given my grandad just days to live. They have been saying this for about 2 yrs now but his heath has deterioated very rapidly, it will be a relif when he goes as he is in alot of pain and he keeps saying how much he will welcome the relese but still it will be so sad.

Harry is well, he has done nothign but shriek for the past 3 days i think he is teething as he still has no teeth he is due for one!
He is getting about now, not crawling as such, its hard to explain........... he kind of gets up on his hands and knees then moves him hands right forward then pulls his knees cols ti him at the smae time then again with his arms ect, ect untill hi finally gets to where he wants to be!
He is trying so desperatley to walk already though he pulls himself up on the table and bounces, he does love to bounce!

Jack is well he has been having some play therapy ob the ward at the hospiatal. He isn't allowed in the playroom incase of cross infection so the lovley playu leader has pursuaded the hospital committe to let him has his own room on the ward! They are letting him paint the walls and windows and they have made a sign for the door that says 'Jacks Playroom' and they have put aload of toys in there for him. It is his room now so everytime he is admitted of comes up for some play therapy he will go in there and make it his own space which i think is really great of them to do. Jack was having nightmares and really changing into a little boy we didn't know behaviour wise and im not suprised after everyhthing hes been through but slowley we are getting him back.

Well best dash have a lovley day..........

podglet · 16/07/2007 09:05

Morning!

AJM - get well soon

Charlee - that sounds like a wonderful day you all had. We are off to my cousins wedding this coming Sat and I hope it is as nice as your sister's sounds
What a lovely thing to do for Jack at the hosp. He must feel really special there and it must make his treatment there easier if he is happy.

DS also forgot he couldn't walk yesterday - he was holding onto the sofa and I moved the paper away from him so he tried to chase after it - thankfully I caught him he isn't pulling himself up yet but will stand quite happily if put there IYSWIM? He also loves to bounce, not happy if he has to sit on your lap, would much rather be standing on you so he can jump up and down

Staceym11 · 16/07/2007 09:20

saralou, that was what i found odd she was wrapped up warm in bed, bt the thermometer worked fine on ds and me qand dh it was jsut dd, i dont get it!!!

got another driving lesson tonight....am a bit nervous but more excited now!

have stopped smoking (need the money for car etc ) so a little bit stressed but nothing major!

charlee glad jacks doing ok and the nurses are being nice to him!

Staceym11 · 16/07/2007 09:21

podglet i put ds on dds little trampoline yesterday, he thought it was great, he can bounce better than dd, shes never been a very physical child!

NatalieJane · 16/07/2007 12:07

Morning all Or afternoon even....

Well I sat DS1 down and spoke to him about what's happening with school and he seems quite happy to give the Year 2 class a go, but I've told him if he does start to struggle I will do everything I can to get the school to move him back to the year 1 class. Bless him, he is very pleased with himself - and so am I!!

We have spent the weekend getting together the last few bits for our holiday, I am starting to let myself think about it and get excited now We go 3 weeks on Friday, can't wait

Charlee, that is such a lovely thing for them to do for Jack, who said the NHS was crap?!! I expect he is feeling very special
Stacey, how is DD now?

George has been so poorly bless him, he still has the cough and cold, took him to the doctors on Friday because he just couldn't move or breathe without having a coughing fit, the doctor has given him some penicilin, an inhaler, some drops for his nose, a cough mixture and calpol, he is like a walking chemist, well not quite walking I suppose!! But he has started turning the corner I think, I hate doing his inhaler though, I know it makes him feel better, and even though it is only for a couple of seconds, seeing him with that mask on his face is awful, I have a bit of a thing about babies with masks and tubes and wires, I hate it!! Quite silly really, but it is just one of my many weirdo things!!

George is also a bouncer, he had one of those Jumperoo things but he isn't happy in it anymore, he doesn't like not being able to move, he will stand up holding onto things, but mostly loves sitting on the floor bouncing on his bum

Right I am off, have a good afternoon xxx

podglet · 16/07/2007 12:49

Yet another nice short post from NJ

Hope George starts feeling better soon. I feel the same way about the masks etc, it is heartbreaking, even though you know it is helping.

Staceym11 · 16/07/2007 17:51

shes alright now, seems her body fought most of it off, but getting her to take madicine (anti-b's) is a PITA i have to sit on her pin her arms to her side with my legs and force feed her it, holding her mouth shut so she swallows and doesnt spit it out! its absolutely horrible and i have to do it 3 times a day!

we're having chicken kebabs, potato salad and pitta bread for dinner, yummy yummy!!!! one of my lovely new recipes from our cookery class!!

ds in bed as usual, this is not his time of day, he gets really grumpy!

iv got another driving lesson in a minute, [excited emoticon] i cant wait till im driving for real, it will make a real difference to our lives!

Staceym11 · 16/07/2007 17:52

oh NJ meant to say hope George gets better soon it is absolutely dire when they're not well!

Staceym11 · 17/07/2007 10:05

new threads prob a good idea this one is huge! lol i was thinking something like : Nov 06 mummies with eyes in the backs of their heads?

what you think?

well we were up all bloody night between dd and ds! im am knckered, this really isnt helping my delivering and saving money for driving lessons and car! arrrggghhh. i just cant go out with them for four hours in the buggy when they're not well!

wish i knew what was wrong with ds tho, could be teething i suppose but hes got no white lumps so i cant work i out!

oh i need sleep!

NatalieJane · 17/07/2007 10:13

Morning all

WB Kelsurprise
Stacey sorry they are both down, it is so unfair for them I thought George had started picking up yesterday but he is coughing like mad again this morning. How is your brother now after his accident? Been meaning to ask you for ages!!

New thread name...??? Ummmm.... how about Nov 06 - who want's another one?!

Sorry that is shite, my brain isn't working today, although I have managed to work out why my posts are always so long, we have a huge 20 inch monitor, but the writing is the same size as if it were a normal size screen, so one line on my screen is about 3 lines on a normal monitor, does that make any sense?

I'm starving, off for some brekkie

CharleeWeasley · 17/07/2007 10:14
