saralou you made me spit my drink at my comp about ryan and the spin cycle!!!

me and dd just made scones with raisens, anyone want one?!?! she made a right mess! glad i hadnt changed her out of her pjs yet!

k is sleeping so much now hes crawling, he wears himself out really quickly!!

saralou · 06/07/2007 10:22

hee hee!!

i'll take a messy scone!!! strawberry jam and proper butter mmmmmmmmmmmm!!

ryan sleeps loads more too now he's on manouvers (although not at night, my how we love our 5am starts - not)

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 06/07/2007 10:27

oh i dont envy 5am starts! i moan enough when ds gets up at half 6! i like my sleep!!

scone on its way to you!

now as dd cooked them i thought she'd eat them....no we're picking the raisens out! arrrghhh! children!

(can you tell im on my period, i keep randomly screaming! lol )

saralou · 06/07/2007 10:39

actually, dp does the 5am starts (lucky me) since he started this new job it's the only time he gets with them... usually gets home to give ds1 a kiss night night. and he works 6 days a week e don't have days off together anymore... more faces

kids are weird, i just went to the shop, ds1 decides hes hungry so i get him raisins, but their not his usual ones so he won't have them! got a dunker instead!! i try to be a good healthy mum, he won't have it!!

i'm loving this self serve on the bottles... i'm sat here ryans on the sofa feeding himself!!

must do some tidying, the parents are half hour away!!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 06/07/2007 11:09

my children have never help their own bottles, if ds is desperate i can sometimes prop him up but not very often, but then again hes a nightmare with milk!

good luck with the visit from you parents!

Debz99 · 06/07/2007 11:32

My Ryan has been feeding himself for the last few weeks but only if you say to him "come on hold your bottle" LOL

Feeling really bad not had Ryan weighed for about 3 months ... I was going to the clinic every week now I just don't seem to have time !!!

Ryan to two steps on his own yesterday, only with a bit of encouragement (well a slight shove actually LOL) he just wants to hold your hands all the time LOL However he still will not crawl, stick him on his belly and he screams !

mygirllollipop · 06/07/2007 11:39

Sara - I'm with you there, DD4 LOVES the tumble drier, the washer is inferior to that but still acceptable. She also has a fascination with DD3's potty. Also DH is on some course at the weekend having worked last Sat too, but with us getting the contracts yesterday it all helps!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 06/07/2007 16:38

debz, dotn wory about getting him weighed, its not essential, they do it at their 8 month check anyway (ds's is when hes 10mo )

saralou · 06/07/2007 19:21

aaargh, i cannot believe what happened! sitting chatting to my mum, think i can hear water running... my bloody washing machine had managed to disconnect itsself at the water pipe and water was gushing all over the floor all in the cupboard

stupid carpet in their is even more ruined than it already was... and now we have to pull everything out again to mop up all the water!!!! aaaaargh!

but still, it was a lovely day... mum and dad should be moving here hopefully in 2-3 weeks! on tap babysitting here we come!!!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 06/07/2007 20:49

saralou sorry but just have to laugh and add : at least your son wasn't enjoying his daily spin cycle while it happened! sorry its been a pita! at least your parents are there to help!

well my ds knows when hes having a 'sicky' day with his reflux and doesnt drink milk, like today.....i was worried this morning but realised why at about 5pm! he has made up for it with food today tho! right 2 weetabix for breakfast, 5 ice cues of mashed carrot and cucumber, a whole piece of toast, a whole (large) yoghurt, and a mashed yoghurt and (large) banana!!! !

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 07/07/2007 17:14

Love the story of the spin cycle! Shame that it's resulted in a flood. Cucmber and Carrot - now that's an idea - I'm continually running out of food ideas. Tee hee - Taro is playing with his daddy (who was in the middle of writing something on a notepad) it's like they are having a full conversation as Taro tests out his vocal range (I think there are a few confused dolphins about) - Taro has managed to get the pen and draw on his leg - now is contemplating chewing it - luckily daddy has found something else for him to chew - now Taro has decided to flick that out of his mouth and cover daddy in saliva - now he has hit daddy on the head with it... oh the joys of parenthood... (hee hee )

See ya later LA

saralou · 07/07/2007 19:44

that was a funny tale ladyanne!

look at my profile i've put some new photo's on their!!!(plug plug plug!!!)

Charlee · 08/07/2007 15:30

Hi ya'll.

Sorry i have been absent for a few days DP has but Windows Vista on the computer so he has been tinkering.

Harry is eating alot now something like this.

B - 1 big bowl of readybreck with bananas.
L - 1 sandwich with a fromage frais
D - 1 big bowl of what ever were having followed by fruit of some kind.

All washed down with 4x 9oz bottles a day and yet he is still on the last wieght percentile!

I have Jack sitting next to me as i type with some stretchy dino's from Tesco he is having a full on conversation with them making them kiss each other then eat each other.

AlfieJacksmummy · 08/07/2007 16:14

Charlee - well that is a full on menu! Alfie has between 10-15oz a day. He wont have weetabix or readybrek for breakfast so still having the powdered boxes for babies! How does he eat sandwiches, do you cut them up or into strips or just let him loose? What fillings do you use? (sorry for all the Qs) Just wanna widen his culinary range!
He does have loads of dinner tho and a good few healthy snaks in between. He is on just below the 50th percentile so is obviously doing ok?

debbsyandsonn · 08/07/2007 17:17

Hi guys hope you and all your babies are well, dont seem to have alot of time these days being back at work, will try and log in again soon but having problems setting up car phone warhouse giving me loads of hassle at present and im not properly set up xxxxxxx

mygirllollipop · 08/07/2007 18:23

Hiya Debbsy!

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 08/07/2007 21:36

Great to hear from you again Debbsy! Saralou - What a lovely picture of Ryan on the first page of your profile - Owen is cute too and don't you look glamourous...

Anyhow - finally got a very cheeky Taro to sleep. We've been celebrating his nana's 60th birthday (my soon to be m-i-l). DP got cross as I accidentally turned the DVD recorder off - he'd set it up to record the grandprix - luckily Lewis Hamilton didn't win so he calmed down a little - looked like a boring one anyhow. trouble is - now he's moaning that there is nothing on the telly!

Wedding is on 29th September by the by.. looks like it might be standing room only as more people have accepted then we thought...

Anyhow - talk to you later..
Anne

podglet · 09/07/2007 09:08

Hi all,

Have tried to catch up on the last few days but it seems like quite a lot has happened! All babies seem to be eating well, after a blip last week where DS decided he didn't like swallowing he is back eating like a horse again.

Hey Debbsy, hope all is ok with work etc.

LA - how exciting about the wedding. I love listening in on "conversations" between DP & DS. DP was a bit anti-baby before we had DS but now he has taken to it brilliantly and loves being a daddy

We spent the weekend with my mum at my grans house on the south coast. My gran has been moved into a nursing home this week as she is very poorly with the later stages of cancer and wasn't doing very well at home on her own. She has a big tumour on her spine which is the worst but she has cancer in lots of other places too. They can't do a lot for her as she is nearly 84 so it is really about pain management rather than cure she was delighted to see DS though and he loves his great granny so it really gave her a lift. My gran is the most fabulous person in the world and I am so pleased she has seen DS a good few times now. She has 9 grandchildren and we all agree that no matter what our mums think, if granny wouldn't like what we were doing, then we don't do it! Sorry to go on but I need to get it off my chest

Hope everyone else is well and babies are happy. DS is currently having a strop in his cot coz he was telling me he was tired but now won't go to sleep - oh bliss and joy

saralou · 09/07/2007 09:40

podglet, i'm so sorry abut your gran

NatalieJane · 09/07/2007 10:09

Morning all

Big catch up coming, not that I've got anything better to be getting on with - like housework

Charlee I'm glad Jack has picked up a bit again, and that the school thing is going OK. Gorgeous pictures!!
LA I hope whatever comes of the HR meeting tomorrow is whatever you want it to be. Taro is uber cute!!
AJM Lovely pictures also
Stace PMSL at the mouldy cucumber That did make me chuckle
Sara Love the spin cycle story. Gorgoues pictures
Debbsy Good to see you Come back soon and let us know what's going on! Hope Kai is doing well

(I think it is about time I added a picture or two of George, all of you showing off, I feel left out )

I have been away for a few days, we have all been poorly, I have had a migrain all weekend, it hurt like hell and of course with BF I couldn't take anything for the fucker so I was led up in bed in pitch black all weekend, still got a bit of a rumbly head on but no where near as bad today as yesterday, I don't think I have been in as much pain since I had DS1 and I was so close to getting DH to go out and get some formula and some Migraleve!! But we got through it - just!!

My only other news is that George has his first tooth, awwwwwwwwww

NatalieJane · 09/07/2007 10:15

Sorry Podglet, didn't see your last post, I am really sorry about your Gran As usual anything we can do, even if it is just to let off steam....

Charlee · 09/07/2007 14:45

AJM - re sandwiches. Harry will eat anything in a sandwich if im in a rush it's usually marmite but if i have time i do cheese, ham, chiken anything really and adult would eat. I make them asmi would do mine then cut them into quaters and lt him loose he does tend to crumble most of them up but he eats a good amount of them.

I also lighlt steam or boil carrott sticks and green beans and he munches them to.

Whatever were eating i just cut up really small and feed it to him or he eats it with his hands, he had his first roast dinner the other day!

Charlee · 09/07/2007 14:46

Podglet sorry to hear about your gran, if you need anything even a chat you can get me at - [email protected] i have messanger aswell if you want a chat.

podglet · 09/07/2007 15:41

Thanks girls for being so lovely - it's really hard, knowing what is coming. I think it's almost better when someone dies suddenly, it doesn't give you time to worry about it, although at least I get a chance to see her as much as poss at the moment. Sorry, I'm rambling now...

I think I will try sandwiches for DS, he loves feeding himself and really enjoys bread. I also give him little bits of cooked carrot etc which he loves. It also distracts him slightly from what I am feeding him so he gets a really good meal!

AlfieJacksmummy · 09/07/2007 16:47

Ah podglet, so sorry to hear about your gran x

NJ - Glad your head is better. Ive never had a migrane until I was pg and I had one I had no idea and couldnt believe how bad the pain was!!! So i feel sorry for you.

Charlee - thanks I will try him with some sandwiches he loves cheese and marmite so will give it a whirl!
