Stacey - Harry isn't refusing milk he is drinking to much! He is having 3 solid meals a day as well as 4 9oz bottles! He must be having Keiran's share!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 05/07/2007 09:56

well k eats for england so im not overly worried (as in he'll eat 3/4 of a dish id give chloe and she eats well!!) but he will only have 3 7oz bottles in a day and thats at a push!!!

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/07/2007 10:01

Got it Charlee will post later today cos there is a post office right near mil's house and we are going anyway, Thanks hun
Anyone else want anything, I really need the space!

saralou · 05/07/2007 11:29

charlee... get jack looked at! honestly, go see your gp, if i had a patient who couldn't finish a sentence i would be wacking the oxygen on and getting dr's to see them asap by way of a fast bleep (fast bleep means get your arse here now and do something)

stacy... all screws in place which is why we can't work it out i've now put that side against the wall and tied it into position!

ryan has 4-5 8oz bottles a day... way too much! and 3 meals.. pig! he seems to have had a growth spurt recently! sounds like keirans still getting his 1 pint a day though!

had a looksy ajm, but nothing their, sorry chick! all the clothes are too small for any of us... i've got the same ring cushion already!

podglet · 05/07/2007 15:09

Hi all,

Charlee, poor little boy, hope he feels better soon.

Stacey, I'm lucky if I can get that much milk into DS. He usually has about 19 oz a day then I shovel yogurt / cheese into him at every oppourtunity

I m really worried at the moment though, he will not swallow. He will take in 4 mouthfuls of food and keep opening his mouth for the spoon but won't then swallow what he has, if he tries to swallow, he just gags and it all comes back out I don't know what to do. He will swallow very wet, very smooth things like milk, custard, yogurt etc and he is hungry but I can't get him to eat his meals. I have a dr's appointment for tomorrow about my hand so I hope she will look at him then.

Hi LA, sorry to hear about the job, though it sounds like you might be ready for a move. WHen's the big day? Hope you get what you want next tues.

AJM - congrats on the new nephew have looked at your stuff but with my own imminent move, we are also a bit strapped, sorry hun

Charlee · 05/07/2007 16:14

Saralou - Thanks for your concern ,he seems to have perked right up now after a blast on his ventolin but if it happens again i will be taking him back in pronto.

Harry has had his 8 month check he is 70cm long and wieghs 17lb 4oz so he is on the top percentile for his height and the bottom for his weight but he is developing like a dream

saralou · 05/07/2007 16:33

glad he's perked up charlee! both my 2 grow like harry, very long but skinny, always above average height and lower percentile weights! long and thin my boys!! i haven't had ryan weighed in ages!! must do that... i don't think we have the 8month check here anymore.

i have a smell coming from my kitchen, i've cleaned all the usual suspects, it smells like something has died in their (vomit emoticon)

podglet · 05/07/2007 16:45

Glad DS1 is feeling better Charlee

I too have a tall skinny boy. DS was weighed and measured on Tuesday at 8 months + 2 days and is 20lb 3oz and 77 cm long where has my teeny tiny gone (not that he was ever that teeny tiny but...)

Charlee · 05/07/2007 17:00

Saralou have you checked you sink isn't blocked? Our got blocked once and it stank [vom]

I know when Jack starts feeling better he starts misbehaving!

He is still coughing badly but able to breath better now.

saralou · 05/07/2007 17:21

hmm, put bleach down sink last night... it smells like it's coming from behind the washing machine, so dp gets the honor of pulling it out tonight! my parents are coming to visit tomorrow so it needs to be found.. the smell is giving me a headache!!!

i just measured ryan, 74cm! and he's 7months at the weekend!! must get him weighed!!

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/07/2007 17:50

Dont think I should admit to this but hey ho... I had a horrible smell in my kitchen once and couldn't find where it was coming from then when we moved, we moved the tumble dryer and there was a very cooked and flat mouse under there that the cats must have brought in!
Alfie is totally opposite, he is a good weight but is small, he is 8months tom and is still in his 3-6 months clothes and there not even tight or too short .
I know your all going to say there is nothing I can do but does anyone have an ideas what to do when your lo has learnt to raspberry and then does it everytime you put food in thier mouths so you get covered?

saralou · 05/07/2007 18:29

umm, blow raspberries back???!! don't know! it's a phase he'll get over it. my nephew loved to blow raspberries, right in your face, whether he was eating or not you still got soaked!

the worst smelly kitchen thing i've had was when we lived in the flat in bournemouth, for weeks we couldn't find it, had the landlord out checking drains etc. then i went home for a weekend, i was on the phone to dp when he found the source of the smell... i'd put chicken in the microwave to defrost and forgotten all about it... i heard him throwing up and calling me lots of names. i sat on the end of the phone lmao we had to throw the microwave out!

(i've already checked the microwave, t'is empty)

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/07/2007 18:34

Errr! That is gross Saralou! I have tried blowing raspberries back but he just laughs and does them harder! Ive just been covered in fish bake so probably smell worse than your kitchen now

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 05/07/2007 19:47

the trick is to stop feeding them till they stop the raspberries! dd used to do it all the time, and it used to drive me mental!!! if you just say 'stop that and i'l keep feeding you' and eventually they stop! does take a while tho!

Hope it helps!

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/07/2007 20:02

Thanks Stacey, I will try it!

Charlee · 05/07/2007 20:18

I have just done my profile if you want to take a look at my new pictures.........................

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/07/2007 20:32

Charlee - I know this get said all the time but you look nothing like I thought! For some reason I thought you had short blonde hair

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 05/07/2007 20:38

oh charlee the boys both looks like little angels!!!

well my two are in bed fast asleep!!! phew, im knackered!! might go to bed soon!

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 05/07/2007 22:25

Have just had a go at setting up a profile - have a look if you wish..

Getting very nervous about HR meeting - but am already sorting life out - and have booked myself into a day about learning to be a speech therapist (another option I'm considering which is likely to use my skills better) and DP found a likely opportiunity at another college as a support assistant. Trouble is - this college doesn't have a creche or nursery.

I'm hoping that the nursery Taro currently attends will let me keep him there for a least one day a week - as he really does seem to benefit from it and has so many little friends. As the college offer a course I'm interested in - that takes place one day a week - I might get it sorted.

Anyhow - I'm shattered - had a night of teething troubles and it's now catching up on me.

See ya all
LA

AlfieJacksmummy · 05/07/2007 23:15

Ahh LadyAnne, Taro is just too cute!!

Charlee · 06/07/2007 07:11

AJM - I have always wanted short blonde hair kinda like that Chanelle thats on Big Borhter at the moment, unfortunatley if i attempt to make my hair go even a shade lighter it goes florecent orange, i wouldn't ming it red or auburn but not to bright orange i don't have the skinf to pull it off!

That is a terrible picture of me i really must take a better one.

LA - You look gorgeous in that photo of you and your dh at the wedding and taro is lovley.

Then again all our profiles are sporting pictures of scrummy babies i think that Nov 06' babies are just lovley babies!

saralou · 06/07/2007 08:07

morning all

the smell from my kitchen is gone!!! we spent all evening pulling out the appliances and scrubbing everything. so it smells clean now! i haven't done that since my nesting frenzy pre-ryan!! my mum and dad are coming for the day so have to tidy up really....

ladyanne, taro is so cute! goodluck for your meeting, i hope you sort out what you want to do!

charlee, your boys are very cute too... they look very much like each other i think! (they both look a bit cheeky!!)

right must go sort out the smell coming from ds1 a*se!

AlfieJacksmummy · 06/07/2007 08:26

Ive added smoe holiday piccies and one of me looking a bit more normal rather than a fat blob!

I HAVE A CRAWLING BABY!! Properly and everything, he just did it yesterday and now he is off like a rocket, no rest for me anymore!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 06/07/2007 08:38

AJM welcome to the 'eyes in the back of your head club'!!!

had a row with dh last night as i made dinner he ate dinner, until halfway through then realised id put courgette in it and made a huge drama about 'mouldy cucumber' and then wonders why dd (who we have been really trying to get to eat for over a year) stops eating saying 'mouldy cumber' and doesnt eat any more!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH MEN!!!!!!!!!

saralou · 06/07/2007 09:30

ooh, yes, eyes in the back of your head needed! i 'lost' ryan yesterday... found him clinging onto the washing machine enjoying the spin cycle!

men can be irritatating stacey.. they don't think before they speak enough!!

cute photo's ajm!!
