Righto good to know im not alone. Weirdly this kid loves sleeping. Just not in her cot. Everywhere else is fair game.
R won't eat fully til fine 11am either

willywallace · 02/04/2015 17:31

ooh yes we occasionally get a cushion nap too. This one sleeps all the time too Min. After about half an hour awake she's ready to kip again.

JuniDD · 02/04/2015 17:43

Sleeping? In the day? She's just fallen asleep on her mat after barely sleeping all day...it's nearly bedtime!!!

Last night feed is about 4am. She'll have a bit on waking but nothing like a decent feed. Good to know it's not just dd min.

Sounds like she might be starting not to need the night feed Juni. You may be getting peaceful nights v soon!

JuniDD · 02/04/2015 18:08

Ooooh! So shall I try settling her in her bed when she wakes? I do try but she does this groaning and I feed to make it stop!! Something to think about tonight! cheers wil

willywallace · 02/04/2015 18:42

Now I'm not advocating starving her Grin . If she does the screamy thing don't be blaming me!

Minion · 02/04/2015 19:18

Yeah when she wakes we have roughly 30 mins before she's ready to nap, taking only about 50 ml max. She needs another 2 hours or so and then usually 90-130 mls.
Must not be in the mood for breakfast or something.
So, tonight is operation moses to cot. We've her swaddled still but over that her sleeping bag, in her cot but with rolled towels under the sheet for cosyness til she gets bigger (she rolls on to her side when flat).
We shall do that fir a few days then lost the swaddle but keep arms in, then slowly bring an arm out etc.
Fingers crossed for me ladies.

cookielove · 02/04/2015 19:56

Hello all

Its been ages since I posted as we have been moving and everything is every where lol!

willywallace · 02/04/2015 21:55

How exciting Cookie, are you all done now?

Good luck Min.

willywallace · 03/04/2015 16:59

What's everybody's Good Friday chat?

FurryScoob · 03/04/2015 17:19

I'm watching a program about eggs while DD sleeps on my shoulder, that's how exciting my weekends getting. Hope your all enjoying a soggy bank holiday. Easter Smile

ZylaB · 03/04/2015 17:48

We went to a local shopping centre, the pram seat at a slight angle (not too much but def above lat) is a huge hit, H slept for ages looking smug, woke up, could see me properly, and went back to sleep. They've got ace changing rooms for babies too with private curtained off rooms if you want to bf in private or in quiet. I'm so going there every time it's rainign!

We also found out our favourite Italian does a call and collect service so DH will be going to collect later, cos I can go out during the day but she just cluster feeds at night so I'm more comfy at home! (He's also trying to make up for a huge row we had last night when I told him he could fuck off if he carried on cos I wasn't packing all the baby stuff up to tak H with me if I left. He apologised and said we were both tired this morning and today's been fine, if a little polite with each other! Am looking forward to Italian soon!)

We put H in a proper outfit today, the 0-3 months fit her now I've washed them and they've shrunk some! It lasted 30 mins and she peed all over it during a nappy change at my baby group, the spare clothes I have are sleep suits so that was that lol!

RPopz · 03/04/2015 18:14

Eeek sounds serious Zy! Hope all is well after your italian Smile

DS always saves poonamis up for when he's in a nice proper outfit Shock Angry Haha. We're in 3-6 clothes now and some of them only just fit at exactly months old!! Shock That'll teach me for being organised and keeping all his clothes in size order...

Done bugger all today. Forgot it ws bank holiday haha! DH is working anyway. How's your day been Wil?

How's operation day time nap going Min? I've been trying to do structured nap time this week (I say structured... it's at a different time every day haha). He usually only naps in sling/ pram but I've been whipping him up to bed with white noise app on and dummy in when he gets crabby on an afternoon and its worked quite well. Only for about an hour but better than nothing!

RPopz · 03/04/2015 18:15

exactly 3 months old!

JuniDD · 03/04/2015 18:46

Have a lovely meal zyla & sorry about the fight.

DD's been a grumpy poops today but we've been driving around to see my friend (who she shares a middle name with). Had a really nice day. It's lovely to spend time with old friends who "get" that I want to talk babies but we can also talk about normal stuff too.

Today, I finally tried putting her to bed an hour earlier than before the clock change (what was 5pm) and she's off really easily. No idea how long she'll go and what sort of night she'll do but thank god I get an evening! Now to read my baby-led weaning book. I wasn't stressed about it but it's beginning to weigh heavily on me, I have to say. Confused

OP posts:
ZylaB · 03/04/2015 19:19

I think we want to try the baby led weaning juni but I haven't researched it yet, all I know is..give them some of what you're eating and let them try it...don't worry about if they at it or not they get nutrition from milk still... If I've missed something let me know when you've read your book!

RPopz · 03/04/2015 19:32

Food under one is just for fun Grin Don't stress Juni x

I'd like to do BLW. But maybe some purees too. Have a feeling DS is going to love his food!

Nessalina · 03/04/2015 21:48

Hello all Smile I too am stressing about weaning Confused The boob is so easy - I don't want to have to purée stuff!! Lol.
Wow, Iphone put that accent on there, I'm pretty sure any purées I make won't be deserving of posh accentness Grin I like the 'food under 1 is just for fun philosophy!!
Hope you & DH are ok Zyla - babies don't half bring out the arguments... We're always at it these days, though rarely over anything really worth fighting about!
J is doing well, I think we may be in for more teeth soon looking at the escalating drool levels Shock He's bitten me a couple of times, the little beggar, so I'm dreading him getting more!
Ooh, is anyone interesting in buying a nursing glider chair? I totally misjudged the size of our nursery when I bought it, so we've had to get a beanbag instead Grin I'm gutted coz it was expensive and it's very comfy Sad It's this one but in white wood. Bought for £165, was going to put on eBay for collection only at £100, but you viroids can have first dibs if anyone fancies it, PM me ??

Minion · 03/04/2015 21:49

popz, it goes fantastic for the morning nap as she is more often than not, in our bed. Loves it there! Pushes me right to the edge and stsrfishes.
The rest of the day... Uhhhh it's a work in progress, let's say. She's a fab napper everywhere else so just have to get her used to the crib.
Saying that, she had a very good sleep last night and after being a crabby Madam all day went to bed within 6 mins of finishing her bottle at 6:30 (I may pay for this later).

I get the feeling she may be teething. Dribbling like frick, sucking bottom lip so hard I'm afraid she'll suck her face inside out and bites down on my hand if it goes anywhere near her gob. Plus a little nappy rash.
Got all her weaning stuff out earlier. We've got the munchkins blender, pots, spoons, the whole she-bang.
I'm excited about it. Hopefully she won't detest food as much as she hates milk tho.

willywallace · 03/04/2015 21:51

Ah you are all still alive. I had plans to do baby led weaning last time but didn't work out. I was so sick of breastfeeding constantly that I wanted to fill her up a bit with food which is so much easier with purées. Plus I found the gagging and choking quite stressful. I'll try to do more of a mixture this time. I quite enjoyed during the purees actually.

She's still feeding crap, not sure how she's getting enough to survive but she seems happy enough. I'm going to try to get an hour's kip before the night shift.

willywallace · 03/04/2015 21:55

Ness maybe ask on the Grads thread as lots of people are talking nurseries at the moment and may be thinking about buying one. We have one already :)

Minion · 04/04/2015 00:23

12pm!
One bottle, off she pops and now it's the husbands shift!

Much needed. Thanks R!

Nessalina · 04/04/2015 01:12

What a gal! Yay R Grin
J has just had his first boob stop and is resisting going back to sleep...

willywallace · 04/04/2015 05:33

Sounds like everyone's nights are going well. I have the dilemma of whether to risk going for a pee once I put the baby back in her crib. Always scared it'll wake her.

Minion · 04/04/2015 06:15

You need a she-wee wil!

She went til 5:45!

5 bloody 45!

Clever girl.
