That's it, I clearly have a dodgy baby shaking type face! I threw the leaflet out, or I'd scan it for you to giggle at. DH and I did come up with a big list of other leaflets we could do, so:

Don't put baby in the microwave
Don't play football with the baby
Don't use baby as a wedge for aeroplanes
Don't feed baby to the cats
Don't use baby as a canoe

...etc etc.... Grin

ZylaB · 23/03/2015 13:33

Sling wise, we've got a caboo close which H seems to like. It does hold her really snug to me though, but she likes that. I suspect it may not be as good when she gets bigger though, but for this stage and size I like it (also don't have to do any funny wrapping or tying, cos I wouldn't have a clue!)

willywallace · 23/03/2015 15:38

Grin zyla

Dietician phoned and said I have to give microwil a bit of formula and see if it upsets her. I also have to go soya free with MiniWil. Aaargh!

RPopz · 23/03/2015 17:12

Poor miniWil. Soya's in bloody everything!! helpful

Just seen a Connecta irl... Bloody hell talk about simple! Wish I'd seen them sooner Angry

willywallace · 23/03/2015 18:56

Oh really? Maybe I should try one.

willywallace · 23/03/2015 18:57

And I know Popz, it will be a major headache. It's hard enough trying to avoid butter and chocolate with her.

RPopz · 23/03/2015 20:10

Sad Poor kid.

cookielove · 23/03/2015 21:21

Late to the party again :(

Congratulations boo :)

I hope all these babies start settling soon!.

E has another cold, its not fair!!

Pisghetti · 24/03/2015 03:14

Morning viroids. Waves to those I haven't seen in a while. Baby Pis turned up at lunchtime today. 7lbs 10oz of lushness.
Haven't seen this time of the morning in a while! MiniPis was pretty settled all evening and let us have our dinner but seemingly can't sleep without a boob in her mouth now Smile

TheBooMonster · 24/03/2015 04:00

Morning pis congratulations again in microPis! DD is also up and hungry, managed to trick her into an hour and a halfs sleep from 1:30 courtesy of Ewan, so I'm only mostly zombie! Looking forward to A waking up so I can give DH E 'as he's up' and get a bit more sleep as she has no interest in going back down!

TheBooMonster · 24/03/2015 04:05

wil if you're formula feeding march to your doctor and demand a script for a few cans of neutramigen!! That shit literally saved my sanity when DD was having problems with soya and lactose! I have lists somewhere of trigger foods for lactose and soya from the dietician, will see if I can dig them out when my boob is free!

willywallace · 24/03/2015 04:25

Fab Boo thank you. I'm bfing but I think if it turns out she has a problem then I might ask for a tub of it to have as back up. MiniWil used to get formula if I went out and hadn't had chance to express and I never get the chance to do it these days. But I've been too scared to give it to MicroWil in case it set her off. Would be good to have a tub on standby. I feel like there's so much going on with this poor wee mite. Do you know a soya free bread?

You both seem very calm and unfussed by your new arrivals. Are you still deciding on names Pis?

TheBooMonster · 24/03/2015 04:35

Most companies use a soya based flour in their bread because it gives a better shelf life, we avoided all shop brought bread with DD in the end, as it all had either soya or lactose, have it in my head that the Morrison's prepackaged bread might be soya free... the kits you can get for bread makers tend to be safe though as do the cake kits for Bread makers.

Evie is pretty chilled it's hard to panic when she's so calm, but there is a gigantic part of me that's just full of dread for day 3, I don't think I can be in the room when she's weighed and am wondering if it would be cheating and defeating the whole purpose of the weigh in to syringe feed her just one little bottle of premade formula just before the midwife turns up to make her heavier than she really is in case after all this feeding she's seemingly doing she's lost too much weight like DD did...

willywallace · 24/03/2015 07:33

What happened then Boo, did you have to go back into hospital? I don't have a breadmaker, are they expensive?

How's H zyla?

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 08:15

H has been sleeping in about hour or hour and a half spurts, so I've gotten some very broken sleep! She's ridiculously gurgly, it seems to be getting worse that way but at least she hasn't been screaming with it, so hopefully the ranitidine is stopping it being so acidic and burny. I guess the gurgling won't stop until the reflux stops? It's almost like gagging bless her. She spent most of yesterday upright and I think it helped her to feel better and may just have to become routine around here, upright baby! :) just want her to not be in pain and am hoping she's got the reflux which mixes itself by 3 or 4 months looks around desperately in the hope this is what will happen

It's starting to affect how she's feeding a bit, she's amlost wrestling with my nipple at times, so I hope the ranitidine will settle it down enough for feeding to be ok as we had that bit cracked!

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 08:16

*which FIXES itself

willywallace · 24/03/2015 08:43

She sounds exactly like MicroWil except at least I get a bit more sleep. We had to wait until weaning last time before it went away. I had got used to it by then though.

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 10:08

:( poor wil

Sling is being ace at the moment, H is much happier ehen she's not sleep deprived too! Also got her Moses basket leant up on cushions! It'll get better, it'll get better, it'll get better (it is better to see her happy, even if she has to be upright permanently). I'm thinking of getting a snug insert for pram seat so we can use that instead of the bassinet for going out with the pram and keeping her more upright, worth it do you think?

willywallace · 24/03/2015 10:42

If she's noticeably happier, totally worth it. MicroWil is fine being flat in the pram weirdly. You can also get wedges which would probably fit a carrycot - not sure which would be cheaper?

laurenamium · 24/03/2015 11:38

Congratulations pis Grin

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 12:13

I'm tempted to get the seat insert, as she's a dinky baby, it'll help her fit it better when she's wanting to look around even if she decides it doesn't work yet. It's £35 but reversible, one side cosy and warm, one side wicks heat away for warmer weather. Apparently in the UK the seat of th pram isn't recommended under 6 months, but is fine from birth with the insert in the U.S.! I do think being upright is helping so may try it. Could also wedge the bassinet with towels to try too I guess :)

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 12:14

Oh and I said it on the grads Fred, but congrats pis Grin

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 12:15

H has just filled her nappy with a bright orange, carrot coloured poo! I'm giving up fretting over colour and blaming meds, must say I'm amused and impressed though!

TheBooMonster · 24/03/2015 12:16

wil we ended up being dragged back in for 5 days and every day we got a different explanation of when we would be allowed to go home and how they wanted us to feed DD, the doctors used the NICU staff like messengers, they wouldn't come and see us and just talk to is about what was going on, it was really quite traumatic, and every time we thought we were close to going home there was another set back.

We got ours for £50 and the mixes tend to be about 90p. It's a bit rubbish at making bread these days though not sure if we're doing something wrong, still makes a bloody good loaf of ginger cake!

ZylaB · 24/03/2015 12:17

Shall I do a few more posts..just because? Grin
