Awww congratulations Enthusia, lovely to hear your news, sounds like you are aone busy lady. What's the saying new house new baby well you've certainly got that right. Sam sounds adoarble, he and Thomas sound like they are one and the same, same teeth, same level of movement - funny isn't it.

GG forget the floors come to London - go on youknow you want too

Right got to go just checking in and keeping the flag flying while the chatterbox shoppers are away

Thomas is lying on the floor screaming in temper because I won't pick him up, where he's learnt angry screaming from I'll never know

Hope everyone is well Beks

GarfieldsGirl · 08/08/2006 09:35

Big congratulations Enthusia.

BEKs - lol at chatterbox shoppers!! Don't tempt me, I must get fences up, must lay flooring...must get fences up, must lay flooring...

Rodeo · 08/08/2006 10:11

Morning,
Thanks for all the sympathy, still hasn't really sunk in, I'm still thinking she's at the hospital. Went to see my grandad with my sister last night, he seems ok, but my aunts are still staying with him, think it'll be harder when they've gone back home.
Brownie, hope your Grandad makes a good recovery, lt us know how he's getting on.
Enthusia, so you're our April baby are you? Congrats
Twinkle, thinking of you too, your poor FIL. Will he be coming out of hospital?
Beks, your posts are funny How did no nappies go? Joe's just come through a period of wetting the bed - touch wood - after being dry for about a year, was washing sheets everyday! But it's been dry again for about a week now thank goodness. 'Message at the bottom' was quite cryptic, but now I'm down here I KWYM! Pretty shocking TBH!
Nova, hope things went well yesterday. Is dh back now?
GG - Fences and floors?! You poor thing!
Bye for now! x

OK, just a quickie as sickness is hideous and being on the poot poot gives me a headache.

Enthusia - congrats on your pg

Rodeo - it's always odd to have life and death on the same page, but love to you and your family.

My scan showed a heartbeat, but I'm not as far along as I thought. By LMP dates I should be 8+4, but when I looked at ov date I'm 7+2, which is pretty much what we saw yesterday - a little flickering grain of rice. I'm seriously never going through this again though, the sickness is horrid x million when you add a 10mo into the equation.

Rodeo · 08/08/2006 13:14

Oh Nova sorry you're feeling so ill, and a baby to look after makes it so much worse
But Yay to the little flickering bean How lovely, were you with dh?
Chacha, congrats on your 'active singleton' too! Much nicer than the 'single live fetus' that I got!
On to the gender subject I think you'll both get the opposite sex to what you've got now, and I am a little bit pyschic y'know

ChaCha · 08/08/2006 14:29

Hello girls, Tis the dial up queen here...

I am seriously going to invest in a playpen today as I cannot keep dragging farticus away from hazards. He is surrounded by toys of every shape, colour and variety yet is enticed by everything from wires to dustpan & brush. He needs a leash!

Congratulations Enthusia, what lovely news and a spring baby too, awww! Good luck on house move and everything else that's going on right now, hope you're settled soon - you will definitely need some rest!

Beks - I agree, your posts are so funny, always make me laugh

Rodeo - Do you really think so? I'm already convinced it's a boy - wishful thinking maybe as I have bags and bags of boy clothes that have never been worn amongst other things. Well, hope to find out 1st week of October!

Nova - I'm sorry to hear about your MS but very happy to hear of your good scan news Hope your MS eases soon, it's horrible, i know and you just have to keep plodding on regardless until LO's bedtime - it can be a very long day esp with no help. I try to go out for at least an hour a day, nap with the LO and nibble on nibbles as I cannot keep anything down really.
Thinking of you - maybe we can meet up soon.

Would have loved to have made Wed's meet up! Have a great time and love to BoB pls.

twinkle1 · 08/08/2006 14:37

twinkle

browniechick · 08/08/2006 19:09

Hello - Congrats Enthusia! Very Happy news - just what we need - more happy stuff please!

Rodeo - thanks for thoughts re Grandad - just spoken to my Mum - no real change at the moment although shethinks he is getting a little worse each day she goes Am going to see him tomorrow night - just feel so and helpless - I just hope and pray that he has the strength to go on, or that he slips away peacefully - either way, it's out of my hands and I know he will always be here with us all in spirit, but even so - like you are feeling, sometimes it doesn't help being rational or whatever - he's my grandad and I want him to be here forever!

Anyway - best change the subject before my computer blows up because I've blubbed and blarted all over the keyboard!!!!

Actually - not overly sure I've got anything more cheery to say! Bum!

Oh well - hope MS goes away for those suffering - that all LOs are doing tres well, that Diege is having a fabbo time on her holibobs, and that all people not already mentioned are happy and healthy.

Speak later

Brownie

xx

Beksmum · 08/08/2006 19:16

Evening all

Twinkle Diege is away for a week I think, Rodeo knows more, she's meeting up with her I do believe? For joint white lie telling to the dh's regarding spending!!!

Nova yay congrats on flickering bean, boo to the sickness but we did try to warn you How did the reference checks go on the Nanny?

So who's having the May baby then?

GG go on, come to London, change the mantra to the floors and fences can wait, the floors and fences can wait, anyway the kids can always wear shoes and the neighbours love seeing them in their gardens, saves them trashing yours

Chacha lol at farticus, forget buying toys honey, hazardous stuff is always more fun. Tom has worked out how to lift the rugs now, it keeps him amused for ages but the dust clouds make me cough

Tom has also learnt to do press ups, it looks really cute, should have a little muscle man on my hands in know time Will be ultra impressed when he can do them one handed!!!

A big round of applause for Ben please, he got through the night nappyless - hooray, nearly broke my back carrying him to the toilet last night but he did it. Rodeo, please don't tell me that about Joe, I did put clean sheets at the end of the bed last night just in case.

I spoke to Karma last night, she and Ella are well, Ella's moving around but not crawling and has a couple of teeth, she sounds as adorable as ever. Karma sent her regards to all, her condolonces to Bob and her congratulations to Chacha & Nova, I'll let her know about Enthusia next time.

Right got to go as have a financial advisor coming tonight to tell me that I'm skint - no surprise there then.

Speak later Beks

GarfieldsGirl · 08/08/2006 19:34

Hi guys!

9 month check didn't really go to plan! Sean fell over as we were leaving, huge bump on his head, the bruise came up immediately. Typical! I'm just glad that my HV is really nice and knows us well. He was weighed, 17lb 13oz which sounds quite tiddlerish, but is 25th centile where he's been since about 6 months, and his length is on 75th centile. Am going back in a few weeks to do the rest as he was quite groggy and she didn't want to hurt him putting the tape round his head!

BEKs - STOP!!!!! I would love to come tomorrow, but I really can't, next door are very odd people, so must block them out, and I've had the flooring for over 4yrs, so I need to do something with it!

I hope the 'morning' sickness doesn't last too long for you both ChaCha & nova. ChaCha - lol lots at farticus!

Beksmum · 08/08/2006 21:51

Me again, right it's official I'm skint but insured so we're both worth more to each other dead than alive now - lovely!!! Will watch dh more closely in future

GG ok I'll let you off this time but what about a meet up somewhere along the south coast this month? I might even be able to coax Tex into coming too as we were talking about a trip to the seaside. Isn't Worthing about an hour from you? Which would make it about an hour and a half from me - what do you reckon?

What a nightmare for Sean, poor little man, can't you just bet on them doing something like it though. Hope it goes better next time.

Right got to go as folks are here, so very rude of me to be sitting up here night night Beks

Enthusia · 09/08/2006 15:01

Help, Nova and ChaCha, were you showing at 4 weeksish, I have a large and definite bump. My mum said she had been watching it grow but didn't want to say anything incase I wasn't pg and a friend actually guessed today, but I'm only 4 weeks. I though my trousers were getting tighter but thought it was just water retention, but it isn't anywhere else!!!!!

novadandypowder · 09/08/2006 16:07

Enthusia - rest easy, I'm exactly the same . DH actually guessed I was pg before I'd done the test as my tummy had really rounded. I'm in maternity clothes already as waistbands feel horrible, and have a very definate 'bump'.

Must make sure I do more tummy exercises after this one....

Enthusia · 09/08/2006 16:15

How may weeks are you know Nova?

Enthusia · 09/08/2006 16:16

That should be 'now' not 'know'

novadandypowder · 09/08/2006 16:44

Still waiting for letter from hossie to confirm after scan (couldn't be arsed to wait around as we had noo with us), but from bd/ov date I reckon 7+4 (yes I know ov date as this happens to be the result of a one hit wonder )

novadandypowder · 09/08/2006 16:45

I also must have found out at 4wks so DH spotted rounding belly before this

babyonboard · 09/08/2006 16:56

I got it really early too, must be something more than the 'physical' signs, as parents ,friends and even local newsagents asked if i was.
I did see though that the bump grew faster then the first time, and movements happened earlier too.

sorry, but I haven't read past the last two messages on here

Hello again Enthusia - I've missed your posts, it's lovely to see you back, i do hope you've got some time for us now inbetween everything that's going on. At 12 weeks I have a smallish bump - didn't know i was PG until 5+ and can't really say there was anything to see, this is most probably because I was and am overweight so it doesn't show as much. Can't believe your mum had already spotted the bump - wow!! Are your folks living with you? I was really shy telling my DF about this PG as he had been staying with us and as the exact same thing happened last year he now has an awful joke (that he thinks is really funny and enjoys telling to anyone who will listen) about how he brings blessings and good tidings on his journeys...the shame!

I have discovered some very interesting kiddy programs on during the day DS has a favourite that he seems to fall asleep in front of when we're having a cuddle on the sofa - it's great! Also found that the little bath seats you get are fab as DS can play in bath while I tidy bathroom or as is usually the case - be sick!! TMI but I am finding ways to get 5!!!

No luck with playpen, went to argos last night and didn't fancy the babydan one or the sports graco - which i thought i would. Had a look in babys 'r' us and DH and I had an image of the LO either breaking out of one through the mesh or just toppling it over through force! I have to do something as cushions, pillows and everything else are not keeping him 'in'.

We are off on hols in just under a month, going tomorrow to m/w and to get his passport pics done hoping that we'll get it before we leave.
Rodeo - Saw that half price stroller in babies r us, you know, the maclaren one and it's not bad really, any last suggestions?

Right, thank you for letting me waffle - have been home all day today with an 8 month old for company. Looking fwd to Friday we're going on the playscheme trip - i can always puke on the naughty kids, he hee! Sorry, couldn't resist xx

Enthusia · 09/08/2006 17:48

Hi

BoB and Nova, glad I wasn't the only one!!!!! How are you BoB?

ChaCha I am overweight too but this bump is def a bump not too many pies. feels really strange to have one already, didn't show til at least 20 weeks before!!!! My friend with twins had great fun contemplating the fact that I may be joining her at 'Twins club' due to size of me! Cor and the tiredness, had forgotten all about that. Just feel sick at the mo, not being thank goodness.

Prob won't be able to post over next few days as at work but will try and keep going!

GarfieldsGirl · 09/08/2006 18:36

Hiya.

How was your day BEKs, bob, Tex, Londoner (and children)?

Phew, flooring done, only took an hour, but all the faffing about afterwards, what a palaver! Wonky walls and floor don't help of course! Unfortunately can still see neighbours, so weekend for the fences.

BEKs - yes definately would be up for meeting you guys out somewhere. About 45mins/an hour sounds about right for Worthing. Let us know.

Enthusia - I was 5wks with Sean when I did the test. I rang my dad, told him I was pg, and he said 'Yes, we know, about 4 months?' Cheeky b***d!

Rodeo · 09/08/2006 20:27

Hello all
Do you think the early bump's are due to uterus's recent use/recovery? Didn't show too early with Joe, managed to hide it for about 14 weeks but I'd had a 2 yr rest. Just a thought
GG - LOL at your dad! How's Sean's bump today?
Hope the meet-up was nice today, though still jealous of your close proximity to each other! Didn't get to meet with Diege unfortunately, thought it'd be best to stay close to home these last few days with grandad. Think she's back Sat night Twinkle
Although talking of meet-ups we must try to set a date for Stratford! Sunday's are best this end, any Sunday in Sept I'd be able to do (but would try to make another day if needed). Any date's anybody else can't do??
Just had to clear up a poo in carpet disaster! Why do poo disasters always happen to me?? Jess was crawling naked upstairs before bath (freely now as dp has just put up stairgates!) when it happened. Cleared with wipes, saturated with anti-bac and scrubbed with an old cloth. Will sprinkle some bicarb when it has dried. Any other suggestions?!
On the subject of household tips, my friend told me today that she puts toothpaste on burns and it really works(?), was told this advice by a nurse. Apparently! I'm going to try it next time, or if anyone gets burnt in the meantime then you can! And report back!
Right will end my waffle! Dp is out watching his mate's band. So will probers be back later

Hello! Hope all are well?
Been to see Grandad tonight - no real change, but he is not any worse, which is a good thing so am keeping fingers crossed and thinking many positive thoughts.

Rodeo - ooh yes, must start to think about organising the Stratford meet-up! Sundays are fine for us this end, I think the only date we can't do is the first Sunday of Sept (the 3rd I think), other than that, think we are ok.

Beks - the Bulldog Bash is on for this weekend I think, have seen all the road signs warning people to beware of bikes etc - and it is usually the weekend closest to my birthday - and have seen and heard loads of bikes - so it has to be! (my powers of deduction have not left altogether!! ) LEt me know if you are gonna head down for it next year!

Anyway, am off to try and decide what I would like for my birthday present from dh (he keeps asking, and Ihave no idea!)

Brownie

GarfieldsGirl · 09/08/2006 21:48

Rodeo - Seans bump doesn't seem t be giving him any grief today, although did have to give him a large dose of Calpol last night. Yes, did get the e-mail, interesting reading!!!! A bit shocking for you I should imagine. I can just picture the taunts tha you'll get from DP from now on .

Brownie - your birthday this week is it? Or next? Good to hear your grandad's doing OK.

re Stratford meet up. Weekend of 2nd is a no for me too as we're going to Longleat for the Red Bull Airrace. And if we're going later in the month, then 30th is Owens birthday so another no there.
