Me again!
Sorted! Also have added a few more pics, although they are early days pics, seems like forever ago! Found that film (the one I thought I'd lost and was upset about!) sent it off to Truprint and they've sent them back with a free CD with them on so I've been able to upload them onto the comp! How cool! I didn't know they could do that!Oh and did anyone get to see/hear the file I uploaded last week?

Evening

Well what a busy day. Had a really nice meet up with Tex today, took a friend with me and her little girl and Toby pretended they were Sporticus & Stephanie from Lazytown and I got cast as Robbie Rotten - charming The three kids played really nicely and got on really well. Rosie was adorable and into everything and Tom was determined that sleep was out of the question all day.

Got home and had to go straight back out up to Victoria to meet dh's sister for dinner as she is in London on a training course and finally got home at9:30pm - I'm whacked!!!

Bob sorry you couldn't make it today, hopefully we'll be able to hook up before too long.

Londoner sorry you missed out too, hope you're having/had a great time in Brighton.

GG excellent you select some dates and we'll fall in with you, Tex said that the end of the month would be better for her, but I can do anytime.
We were going to go to th eRed Bull air race but I was too slack about applying for tickets so we missed out, definitely want to hear all about that one. Am planning on taking the kids to Longleat before the end of the summer.

Brownie definitely fancy the Bull Dog bash next year, will see how getting to the Stratford meet up goes, Sundays are fine with us as I think we're planning on staying over somewhere on Saturday night as I've never been to Stratford before but have heard it's lovely. We can't do the 2nd or the 9th either as one's a clan I mean family wedding & the others a kids party, for Ben's favourite female can't call her his girlfriend or he goes mad 24th is my parents 40th wedding anniversary but don't know where they plan to be at the moment so think we can do that one!!!

Brownie would suggest something sparkly for your present, a girl can never have too much jewellery!

Chacha had a thought about the hazardous play materials today, we've found if we tell Tom no to something he's not allowed, he'll go for it more so now we say NO to a couple of safe things and he heads for those instead now. Boys such suckers!!!

Right I'm off to have alook at Yahoo, hello to everyone else, speak soon Beks

Londoner · 09/08/2006 23:15

Elizabeth def going through 9 month separation anxiety boooooy.......... am going to try serious back in your cot training now we're back, either that or seriously considering stopping bf ... and she keeps $$$!! biting my nips OW!... you can tell I had a nice relaxing holiday then! Ha ha haaaaa AAAAAAAAAAAH LOL LOL, have missed you all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, night.xxx

novadandypowder · 10/08/2006 11:02

hmmmm, if you were due to fly to New York in 5 weeks and be flying back on sept 11th would you still go in light of todays news?

babyonboard · 10/08/2006 11:20

Gosh I totally missed that I haven't had the radio/tv on yet today...
Scary stuff.
I'm not so sure I would Nova, although it's probably safer after this than it ever was.

browniechick · 10/08/2006 12:59

Hi All!
Nova - hhmm not sure to be honest. Think would have to go with whatever I felt in my gut.

Beks - cool - if you do come to the bash next year, we'll def have to try and meet up!

GG - yes Birthday is on Sunday (13th).

Actually have had really weird day! Have had 3 texts today wishing me happy birthday (although it is on Sunday) and 2 of those were from family members! I started to panic, that in my baby brain, lack and loss of memory - that I had somehow either forgotten when my birthday was, or been asleep and missed a few days - and in fact it was my birthday today! How odd!

Beks - yes, Stratford is lovely (but I may be biased! ) Once we get dates sorted, le tme know if you are gonna stay and I might be able to suggest some nice places?

Best go, am at work so ought to go and do something!

Brownie

Rodeo · 10/08/2006 13:04

Have actually managed to tidy the house this morning so having a well earned break!
Londoner, welcome back! How was the weather?? I'm having my pre-holiday panic about weather! Ouch to being bitten, what a terror! Mine are all so slow with getting teeth never encounted that problem, although Bella did go through a biter stage in toddlerdom.
Meet-up sounds nice Beks, hope you gave Tex our love - we miss her!And like your hazard diversion tactics!
Nova, I would still go, I think. We're more likely to be in a car crash than any trouble up in the air
Right Jess is attacking the computer so better go, thanks for the Stratford date info too, Diege is off ot Portugal too soon so we'd better see if any of her dates clash too Bye for now

babyonboard · 10/08/2006 13:16

Hi all
Sorry I've been lame with catching up!
Huge congratualtions to Enthusia and family!
Hope you find time to keep us updated.

Londoner, Beks, Tex,anyone else!? do you fancy arranging another meet up soon? I will have my little sister staying soon so it'd be nice if we could coordinate it for then.

Nova - sorry to hear about the sickness! Hope nat is behaving herself for you.

Chacha - Hope you are well, I saw your posts about being exhausted, can you arrange a nanny or nursery a couple of mornings maybe to give you a chance to rest?

Beks - you are too funny! lol at 'boys are such suckers' we must try that one with O. We gave him an old phone, remote control, keyboard and mouse to play with as he's obsessed with ours but he hasn't been fooled in the slightest and just isn't interested in them, heehee!

Okay question about eating - O is going through a phase of refusing food, or just having tiny nibbles. I've tried absolutely every food I can think of, and the only thing he's eaten is icecream and a few grapes yesterday and nothing today! argh
Do you think it's just a phase, or should I be concerned? He's upped his milk intake and is having about 1.5 - 2 litres a day, I don't want to withhold the milk when he won't eat anything else, but now I'm worried he's so full of milk he won't try anything anyway..argh not making much sense, but any advice appreciated!

novadandypowder · 10/08/2006 14:13

BoB - noo is doing the same and has been for a while, but I've decreased her milk intake as I think she was filling up on this. However, she is quite weighty so I can afford for her to go hungry/lose a bit in the adjusting stage. She's refusing stuff that I know she likes and like O will only take tiny amounts. I just keep offering in the hope that one day she'll just start eating again. Sorry can't be of any more help, 'it's just a phase' lol!

babyonboard · 10/08/2006 14:26

Nova, thats a relief to hear , our problem is O can't afford the weight loss really as he's a skinny little man and his weight has plateaued over the last couple of months (think it's down to him dashing around non stop all day!)
Hopefully they'll both resume their raging appetites soon!
gosh they do make us worry don't they.

novadandypowder · 10/08/2006 14:43

So, checked out the new Robbie Williams track/video today, and I'm really not quite sure what to make of it. I'm not a fan of his anyway, but he's far too old, unable to rap and uncool to be releasing a song like that. However, I found it quite catchy and think after a few more listens may even like it . Anyone else heard it?

novadandypowder · 10/08/2006 14:44

as you can tell, DH is home looking after noo and I'm really bored - lol!

ChaCha · 10/08/2006 14:45

Hello,

BoB - Hope all is well with you and your family. Thank you for asking, I have good days and bad days - I've stopped worrying about housework now and have come to my senses in that looking after an over active 8 month old and myself are much more important than a bit of dust/washing/cleaning etc. It gets done when it gets done and fortunately DH is being a lot better about it all now - think i've made my point there I feel better for new way of thinking! As long as he's clean work clothes and i attempt dinner think we're doing okay.

LO is also quite offish when it comes to his food these days, will speak to H/V about this next week when he has his check.

Nova - I haven't watched the news yet. Oh dear, what's happened now?!? Hope your feeling alright.

Beks - How interesting. Must try the 'no' approach with safe toys, well done!

eugh...time to go and wilt..x

novadandypowder · 10/08/2006 14:59

Chacha - police have disrupted plans to blow up 6-9 planes from the UK to USA. 21 people have been arrested over it and the UK is on critical alert. The USA have also gone to red alert. The plan was to use liquid explosives taken on in hand luggage.

novadandypowder · 10/08/2006 15:02

I'm soooooooooooooooooooo boooooooooooooored

babyonboard · 10/08/2006 15:06

Chacha - glad to hear you're doing well..I agree housework should be the lowest of the low on your priorities!

aw nova me too..lol!

could go shopping but can't work up the enthusiasm to trawl around the crowded shopping centre, even though I desperately need new shoes.
could do some cleaning, but yeah right! i'm not that bored..lol
could go buy the paint for our new bedroom, but see above!

Londoner · 10/08/2006 16:15

Hi ,
ChaCha, I'm okay thanks for asking, sorry to hear you're feeling so crappy but think it's great you and dh have come to terms with house stuff more, really good to keep a positive view when the chips are down I agree, that's great. Have to admit I wasn't looking forward to that particular aspect of having a young baby/child at all and the only thing that's getting us through it this time (although it's still causing the usual problems here as well...) is the experience of getting through it before.... we know it will get easier. Have to say being on holiday with all of us really hammered it home how much work there really is, falling into bed at 11pm every night having been on the go all day the pair of us really hammered it all home to us.... felt like I just couldn't keep up a lot of the time, but now we're home it's easier and baby is much more settled. Oops, sorry rather self absorbed there, was meant to be supportive.
BEKs, BoB, Tex, would love to meet up, thanks for all the messages, got back to find them all late last night....
Thanks for the lovely welcome back too BEks and Rodeo..
Rodeo, so sorry to hear about your gran, it sounds as though you were very close, I'm sure you miss her already. Thoughts and Strength are with you.x
CONGRATULATIONS ENTHUSIA! - what lovely news...
Nova, can see your dilemma there... hope you manage to come to a decision soon, can only agree with BoB that it's probably safer than ever as security is so high at the moment. Sorry to hear about the sickness...
Oh, so so helpful to read all your posts on baby with poor appetite, Elizabeth seems to have reverted back to being almost solely bf the last 2 weeks and was feeling desperate until i read all your experiences, thanks so much..
Hi to everyone else too, oh and hello beartime good to see you post..... sorry for news i've missed......

Londoner · 10/08/2006 16:26

Oh, Rodeo, weather was good on the whole, pretty mixed but think we were really lucky, had a good few beach days although mixed feelings for me on this as E just tries to eat sand the whole time and rub her eyes with sandy hands! AAAAAAAARG! She loved the water though so that was fun. Where are you off to?

GarfieldsGirl · 10/08/2006 21:58

I have a day at Butlins and miss everything about the terror alerts. I think nova for me personally I would still go ahead with my plans, as Rodeo says you're far more likely to have a car crash, and security and intelligence is so, so hightened now (as has been proved today) that the chances of anything happening are ultraslim.

Sean's being a PITB with food too, but only at lunch time though oddly enough. He has the food, but then takes it out of his mouth, leaving a circle of devastation. bob, I would persevere (sp?) with Oz and his food, the last thing you want is for him to be 'faddy'. It does seem though, that this must be an age for them to get funny with eating.

Londoner - Sounds like you had a good time away, even though it sounds like hard work. IKWYM, there always does seem to be far more looking after the children etc when on holiday for some reason. And I know exactly how you feel with a baby that bites. He's never bitten before, but now that little tooth is poking through he has a new weapon! He has been threatened with a bottle several times in the last few days. Good luck with re-establishing some kind of routine.

bob, lol at you and new shoes.

BEKs - the end of the month will probably be better for me too as DP goes back to work on 23rd, YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! So how about the following week? Obviously not Monday as thats bank holiday, but any other day that week? How does that suit? I love Longleat, but DP is dubious about going because of the monkeys!...and you can't miss them out can you now!?

Brownie - lol at 'forgetting' your birthday.

ChaCha - good to see you've got your priorities right! There are far more important things out there than housework (as you could probably tell if you were to see my house!), adn glad you've got DH pulling his weight.

Take care everyone
GG xx

Chully · 10/08/2006 22:14

Wow - everyone's been so busy! What with holdays/incorrect birthdays/babies that won't eat/morning sickness/Butlins etc etc, I can't keep up with it all!

Not too much news here, but lol at the bf babies biting. DS has been bottle-fed since 3 months (for complex reasons) and I think I'm glad, now that he has teeth! He sinks those into my arm now and again, and that's painful enough!

Nova, I'd definitely fly. They're being so careful with security etc, if they thought there was too great a risk, they simply wouldn't let the plane take off. And I agree with Rodeo and GarfieldsGirl - cars are more dangerous than planes!

Well, ds is getting more and more mobile. He took a step today on his own (fell over immediately, unsurprisingly) so I think he'll be trying to walk properly in the next month or so. I'm not ready!!!!

Brownie, if I don't get to post again by the weekend, have a lovely birthday!

Beksmum · 10/08/2006 23:04

Hi a quick self absorbed post as Tom has only just gone to bed after very little sleep all day.

Round of applause please Tom is at last crawling hooray.

Speak to you all properly tomorrow as I'm cream crackered Beks

Enthusia · 11/08/2006 06:51

How strange Beks, Sam started crawling yesterday too! Big congrats to Tom

Still here, still huge! Feels weird wearing maternity clothes though and despite the tiredness, queasiness and hunger I can't say I feel massively pg, maybe I am just so preoccupied with Sam.

ChaCha - good for you getting rest, that is most important stuff the house - as I am doing now.

ChaCha · 11/08/2006 08:16

Morning,

Londoner - Great to see you back Sounds like you are glad to be home sweet home though. Hope you're getting some rest too.

Beks - Congratulations!! Another little crawlie, hurray...oh and congratulations to baby Sam too!

Nova - I caught up with the news last night but couldn't quite believe it I can't make sense of everything that's going on in the world right now, it's just too much. I understand your worry now but would still go with the others - hope you had a good rest with DH home to help.

BoB - Go on! Treat yourself

Hi to Rodeo, Chully, Brownie, GG and everyone else. Off to get ready for our trip.

(p.s. Nova - today is officially day 5 of having kept nothing down! And yes..two is the max - but didn't i say that about DS? )

Have a good day all x

novadandypowder · 11/08/2006 09:18

Chacha - have you actually been to visit a homeopath? I went yesterday and it was like a therapy session, she looked at everything from relationship to mother, to emotional and physical history. She has formulated a course of treatment which I start tomorrow, which treats my liver problem , as well as the nausea/sickness. Will keep you posted, but she is confident I'll have a better pg than last time.

twinkle1 · 11/08/2006 09:52
