ChaCha · 01/08/2006 15:26

Hi BoB It's really good to hear from you I just checked my email and there's nothing! (it's dot co dot uk right?) I never received the last one you sent either sorry, can you try again? I can contact you any other way if you like - up to you. O sounds his usual happy self, such a beautiful boy too, give him lots of hugs from us. x

novadandypowder · 01/08/2006 16:08

Hi Beartime, thought I would take it upon myself to try and update, although I tend to have the memory of a fish ATM...

BoB was indeed pg, but sadly had a m/c a couple of weeks ago. O is being a star and is crawling around like a pro.

Chacha and I are pg, due end of feb and mid march respectively.

Londoner has come back , and we've had a few more newbies, although Chully seems to be the only one not to have been scared off by all the chatter.

Beks has been zooming around in skid cars and tanks.

Diege, Rodeo, and Brownie have been shopping

There's been a lot of wedding anniversaries, and a few birthdays (told you my memory was rubbish).

Think most babes are crawling/standing, although Nat has no intention of doing either yet. Weaning going well for everyone, and lucky Ash had been to Pizza Hut already . Am I right in saying all babes have teeth?

Good to see you still loitering x

tessasmum · 01/08/2006 16:13

Pizza Hut is as close to fast food as my lot will get until they are earning their own money. Had a very proud mummy moment the other week when we walked past McDonalds - every other child in a 50m radius was yelling for a Happy Meal, Tessa just said ' Oh look Mummy, a yellow M'. Long may it last

novadandypowder · 01/08/2006 16:15

Tessasmum - thats a great moment . And PH isn't really fast food, it's my guilty pleasure - when DH is away I always order one as he hates it.

babyonboard · 01/08/2006 16:39

sorry just dipping in ..

but.Nova your update is commendable..and had me lmao, especially re. beks..

hugs

babyonboard · 01/08/2006 16:41

oh and chacha..have emailed again..guess I got it wrong!?

Rodeo · 01/08/2006 17:16

Afternoon,
Great update ! Jess is still a toothless wonder though! Sickness has gone, so she is a little cheerier today although nappies are still runny and her little bot is red raw
Tessasmum, what a clever boy you have there!! You are so good to keep it up, but I supposeyou have seen the all the benefits through Tessa When are you camping BTW? We're hoping to have our first go 'with baby' this weekend!
Got my sling this morning BTW! I only ordered it about 4pm yesterday and it's come all the way from Scotland! Very speedy! I got the black one after much deliberation - but I ordered the wrong size so have returned it, hopefully I'll get it in time for Sunday.
Its 'teatime at the zoo' time now so will catch up later, bye!

Great update and very warm message for Bear

BoB - No email as of yet. Try sending it via the group - the e-address is there too Third time lucky!

Tessasmum - Pizza Hut - yum yum! I cannot wait to go on holiday soon, I get to eat everything from Tex Mex in Chilli's to steak in TJI Fridays, Mcdonalds, Arby's, you name it! and all kosher...yippeee! Why did i have to get started on food...geeeesh. Sorry

Think i better go and get a snack.

Diege · 01/08/2006 17:54

Afternoon!! Just a quickie while dh takes Jasmine to nursery to pick up the others!! Loved the update Nova - too true in my case! RODEO: WOW, at speedy delivery of sling! Am looking forward to mine arriving tommorrow, and just realised when you mentioned sizes that mine is hardly going to fit dh anyway, so might as well have got girly pink after all! Oh well, will do for no. 4 if it's a boy
Went to see 'Over the Hedge' this afternoon with J.Pretty good, although quite long! Have 8 month check tommorrow, so will have to try to last minute strategies to get L rolling!!! NOVA: Nat is not alone!! L doesn;t roll, or stand or crawl, and she has noooo teeth, after several false alarms when I was sure I saw a little tic-tac type protrusion!!
Hi to everyone else!
Diege

tessasmum · 01/08/2006 19:33

Rodeo - off early on Thurs to Isle of Man for a week. Where is J going to sleep whilst camping? We had thought Ash would be fine on an air mattress next to us but not sure how it will work now as it was all thought out ages ago when he wasn't mobile

Beksmum · 02/08/2006 10:28

Morning all

Have been reading but just don't have the time to post at the moment with Ben on holiday and Thomas trying his hardest to crawl - not sure where the days are going!

Nova excellent update, love my description

Having a craft session here today with 6 of Ben's friends plus littler ones - eek!

Hope those off on holiday have a good time and that everyone is well, will try to be a more frequent poster again soon, but also have my loft extension starting on the 14th so will be out alot avoiding the noise.

Right must dash Ben yelling that Thomas is after his Lego as I've just put them both in Ben's room so I could quickly post this. Love to all Beks

ChaCha · 02/08/2006 12:13

Hi Beks - WoW, look like a busy month for you, lots on. Ben must love the summer holidays, craft day sounds like great fun.

I have been giving LO banana or goat's cheese on his toast and wanted to try something a little different so gave him a tiny bit of strawberry jam - are they okay with jam at this age? He really enjoyed it. Any other ideas pls for sandwich fillers and do you make your sandwiches into fingers/shapes/squares? Thanks.

Only wednesday but looking fwd to having friends stay this weekend, DH has been working till very late and it's literally dinner and bed for me. Can't do much else at that time and LO is not sleeping until 10ish but does go right through till 6, has milk and then again till 8ish sometimes 9 - should i then complain? He also has a nap mid morning after brekkie and play. I am starting cot transition this weekend for definite, with friends staying in other room i cannot sleep next to DH and LO in the same bed - squuuuaaash!!!!

Where is everyone? I'm at home today, trying to get things organised [cough]

browniechick · 02/08/2006 12:50

Hi Chacha - I am at work - so just a short(ish)! post from me!!
I cut Ts sandwiches into little "soldiers" or "fingers". Have been giving T jam on toast and in sandwiches for a while now. Also give him cheese sandwiches, dairylea also goes down well, as does marmite! In fact, he will eat almost anything! Oh yes, he has also had ham sandwiches.

Glad to hear all are well - must dash and get on with some work!

Oh yes, spent a fortune on the pixifotos yesterday! But they were all just sooo gorgeous, that I couldn't choose - so in the end bought almost all of them!!!

Hope all are well - speak later!

Brownie

Diege · 02/08/2006 12:59

Afternoon!! Hope everyone is well, sounds like you are going to be extremely busy BEKS with your craft session (gulp!). I have to admit that crafts are one thing that really make my heart sink. The dds love it, but the messsss!!!!! Think it stems from dropping a glitter tube in the past, and still to this day finding the bits everywhere!!
Hi CHACHA!: sounds like you have a nice weeekend ahead . Re: sandwiches, jam is fine; L has been having jam on toast fingers from the start. Other ideas are smooth peanut butter (unless history of nut allergy), humous, cheese (as in cheese on toast fingers), chesse spread, and (runny) honey. Have also tried some of the bean pates they do, with mixed results!!
Well 8 month check went well . L still bumbling along the 50th percentile weight wise, and 85th height wise. Only 'concern' was that she seems to be a bit tippy toesy, reluctant to put her foot flat. No need to see them again until she is 2, which seems ages away!! Asked about her 'flat' head, but apparently its not the worst they've seen by a long shot .
Very exciting parcel delivery day today . Sling arrived (Rodeo's influence)and after inital panic trying to stuff poor LIbby into it , we have it sorted and it is BRILLIANT!!! Really comfy, and no sore neck/shoulder that you normally get with sling and older baby. Have to say I look soooo Earth Mother too, which is a totally new look for me, and one I'm rather warming to .
Will post later, if I survive!! Recovering after being woken several times last night by dds 1&2, and then a 4.30 start from L . The only 'consolation' was a rather steamy dream featuring Peter Andre (not my first choice I might add, and he was very demanding), so in need of a good rest! Roll on 7pm!!

Rodeo · 02/08/2006 15:01

Afternoon,
Have them all parked in front of the awful programme Big Cook Little Cook after an bad night here too! Me and Joe both coming down with the sickness bug at exactly the same time last night - the difference being I managed to get to the toilet but Joe was sick all in his bed and over the carpet! So I have a lot of washing today, seem to have used all our towels to clear up sick!
At least I didn't have a 4.30 start though Diege! LOL at your dream - ahhh, do you secretly want to be Jordan?! Well done Libs on your check Great stuff re sling! I bet you pull of the earth mother look quite well - you'll need to dig out some maxi skirts to help you along!
Beks, you do sound busy, loft conversion sounds great! Who's room wil it be? I used to have the attic bedroom when I was little and loved it!
Brownie, I knew you'd buy most of them! Our's always come out awful, and it's just embarrassing when they get them out and we say 'er, no, you're alright thanks' Needless to say I don't go to them anymore!
Chacha, we do fingers too Good luck this weekend with the move to cot!
Tessasmum, not really thought about where she's going to sleep Probably between us on our airbed (much to dp's dismay!), just got the kids an double airbed too, so hopefully next year they'll all be together, bit much to expect that this year!
Better rescue the children now......Bye!

Rodeo - sorry to hear you were both so poorly poor Rodders and Joe! Hope you both get over it quickly, and hope you get some TLC too!

Having a major crappy afternoon here...won't bore you all with the details, i am just living in a bomb site at the moment and nada is the reading on the old energy bar...oh gosh!

Love to all x

Diege · 02/08/2006 16:51

Aww sorry to hear you're having a rubbish afternoon CHACHA ; maybe plan a nice evening (Heat mag is out today don't cha kniow )with a few treats?? Always works for me. RODEO: you poor thing! Sounds like you're having it tough with Joe poorly now too Will you be able to get an early night tonight? The whole sick thing is the worst, so mentally and physically tiring . Hold on in there! On a lighter note, your new sling should arrive soon! Will you go for the maxi skirt look too? . I had to laugh at the Jordan reference, as I was actually Jordan in the dream iyswim!! I remewmber looking down too and thinking, 'wow, my boobs are big', and then Peter (as I think of him now) asking me to do this weird thing woith his foreskin (sorry far tmi when you are poorly!) Can;t exactly tell dh though!!
Right, the Grinch is nearly over, so tea beckons!

novadandypowder · 02/08/2006 17:59

Diege - LMAO!!!! (at your dream, naturally)

GarfieldsGirl · 02/08/2006 18:27

Hi all

Hooray!! Its, so, so nice to be home, back in the 21st Century!! (no seriously!)

Will catch up with you all later, may take me a while (not because of all the chatter, but after a week of no computer/TV, my eyes are very fuzzy).

Quick update here...

Sean has a hole in his gum, whoopee! The tooth's not poking through, but thats the hard part over. He can stand for as long as he likes totally unaided, and is getting very good at taking that 1st step, but then falls flat on his face! He's had a dog to follow around, and I think if we were up there he'd be walking within a fortnight, so thank goodness we're home! He also has a stinky bum, so will catch up in a bit.

My love to you all, GG xx

Chully · 02/08/2006 20:59

GarfieldsGirl, I can't believe it! Such an early walker! (Well, nearly, anyhow!) How exciting - and alarming! Keep us posted on how it progresses... (and well done on the tooth, too!)

Rodeo, it sounds like you're having a horrible time right now - I hope it was just a '24 hour bug' that's worked it's way out now. I haven't been there yet, but I can't imagine that clearing up vomit when I'm feeling ghastly myself is a lot of fun! Poor you!

All the new slings sounds great - I bet the LOs love sitting in them - and who cares what they look like?

Anyway, better go and organise ds's food for tomorrow..

Diege · 02/08/2006 21:54

Evening! Well, feeling mega gulity after succombing to yet another sling purchase .Liked my one so much, have bought the next one up in the range (freedom sling), but THAT IS IT now!!!! NO more!!! At this rate I'll have to have another baby just top get my money's worth of the stuff I buy!!
Hi GG!! Good to hear from you WOW!!!! a first step!! Gosh, how exciting, bet he's our first walker! Still waiting for L to stand on flat feet, lol!! Hi CHULLY, how are you doing? Spounding very organised there! That reminds me, better get the bottles in to soak! Roll on cow's milk and beakers!!

Diege · 02/08/2006 21:55

Oh and hope Peter leaves me alone tonight (my dreams tend to run over several nights - not always pleasant!) I know NOVA,I am such a tart!!

Rodeo · 02/08/2006 22:08

Evening!
Well it was just a 24 hr bug, we're all better now thank goodness, though I am snowed under with laundry as it's bee pssing it down all day! Might treat myself to a trip to the laundrette tomorrow!
Chacha, oh you poor thing, these energy zapping weeks will be over soon hopefully Maybe you could read through some old threads to see when you felt more human last time? Or maybe not - it may make you feel worse!
Diege, Haha! How funny!! Boob implants here we come! When are you leaving this weekend? We're thinking of just a 1-nighter now as it looks like rain on Sunday. But will be hoping to get over to RH Bay on Monday around midday leaving late Tues. Will you be taking you phone?
GG Did you have a nice trip? Wow at S walking Although I'm not surprised - he was such a early crawler, what a clever thing And animals are a great way to get them moving!
Chull, yes vomit clearing whilst ill is not recommended! Joe keeps saying 'Urgh, I can smell Bomik'!!
Right BB is on, Mikey is being a prize t
sser at the mo, think he might get the boot on Fri? Or maybe Suze? I quite like Imogen & Jennie.....
Anyway, night! x

Beksmum · 02/08/2006 22:28

Evening girls

Well here's a record I've managed to post twice in one day. The summer holidays are keeping me very busy, the craft session went well, we made little signs with two pegs glued on to a board, then you write look what X made on it and let them decorate it, then you hang their favourite drawing from it. Think I had 6 happy campers by the end of it.

Rodeo, poor you, sounds like you are having a rough time of it, glad to hear you are all feeling better & thinking of you with regards to your nan, hope they can keep her as comfortable as possible.

Diege lmao at your dream, the bit about the size of your boobs just cracked me up.

Chacha sending you lots of energy hugs, hope bump gives you a break soon. Sounds like Z is keeping you busy though, good luck with the cot swapping, just go for it you'll be glad you did and I bet he wakes less as he'll have more space in the cot. On sandwich fillings, Thomas likes tuna mayonnaise & egg mayonnaise, not sure if he should have them but hey he likes them so why not!

GG welcome back, sounds like you had a good break away, lol at returning to normaility. at S taking his first step Thomas is seriously frustrated at not being able to move now.

Glad everyones 8 month checks went well, we didn't get the books that were mentioned, does everyone get them?

Rodeo the loft extension is going to be my domain, I might share it with dh if he's really nice to me otherwise he can stay in the box room with his computer We're having a double dormer added so we get a big bedroom and a shower room - I can't wait for the luxury of having a proper shower and a second toilet - as you can tell it's the little things in life that please me these days! The builder reckons it will take 6 -8 weeks gulp but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end or that's what i keep telling myself.

Right all's quiet here so i'm off for an early night, hi to everyone I haven't mentioned, can't keep up at the moment Beks
