She will get one book. End of. She will have her cousins over for cake though.

A helium balloon for sure, keeps her entertained for days!

Chocolate cake for me and an empty box for her.

Oh OK, and a book, and presents from relatives. And skype calls with relatives. And masses of cuddles.

And Christmas

S is getting a talking, singing picnic basket thingy, we went to my cousins yesterday and her little girl has one, well, I've never seen S so impressed with a toy! Must find out the make and where it's from.

Oscar will be getting a few nice wooden toys and books from me. He is having a party too. I want to celebrate.

J will have clothes and nappies and wipes. He also has a hungry caterpillar trolley for sleep-overs and holidays.

I have never read the hungry caterpillar. Perhaps I should.

He has had his Thomas day bag early in preparation for nursery.

I bought him graffalo book set. Wooden jigsaw. And a few wooden instruments. All with Xmas in mind, oops forgetting about bday.
Think I might save instruments for Xmas as he will be more capable of playing with him.
And take out a toy from his stash for him. All the toy gifts he has been bought I just put away re gifting. I'll regift one to him! Is that mean? He has enough toys.

Or I'll give him a play buddy! His brother can be his gift. Lol.

I don't know what i'm getting E yet. He has a ballapalooza but i'm not sure if it's for birthday or christmas. Part of me wants to go all out and have a big party and get him lots of things, and the other part of me thinks it's pointless and I should get him a few things but save my money for when he's older and wants parties with friends from school etc.

vq I read that to e tonight, it is fantabbylous and over in minutes which really helps here as he has no attention span for stories atm

Lily we have the ergo. After some advice from Pidj on how to fit it - I love it. I wear the bear when he's really grumpy or clingy. We often walk to the corner shop in it - its comfy enough that I'd happily go further (though J's only 7.5kg) but babywearers what do you do re change bag? I love the buggy for not having to carry anything.

We're back from our travels, well I got back Sunday night but have been busy busy since.
Camping and bikes were fab. M is now a little pro walker with the v tech thingy, she was walking it up and down the field we were camping in. She's also a champion climber after learning how to eat in and put of the tent.
She's also just got her fifth tooth! And today she learnt to climb the stairs she really is growing up fast now.

DH has had to go away with work, working nights in County Durham. First time he's ever worked away so it's just M and I yesterday until Friday. We're coping ok so far.

I need to catch up on the Fred but have caught a few posts of the last page.

mm1 Are the straps on the bottom or top hole? Apparently they're supposed to come from level with or below the shoulders, so up and over like you've described, rather than above the shoulders.

Fatima she's an all action girly ! Glad you're coping solo - DH is working in the Falklands in September for a week and I'm a) jealous as hell of him gadding round the planet especially somewhere he'll see penguins and b) a bit nervous of flying solo for a week.

Most areas have a sling consultant who will come to your house and show you how to use different types. Maybe offer to take the older two for a treat and pay for that if you think she might be that way inclined?

I went to a kick boxing club tonight, I'm determined to shift this last stone but get hungry and grumpy if i cut down food. Fabulous fun but at £8 a week I'm not sure i can afford to go back. I'd go swimming but the pool is closed for renovations until October and i don't want to drive to one because I'd be out of the house too long if vdp needed me.

I have a long strap on my bag, so across the body.

R and 3 friends from baby group all within a month of each other, we're thinking about hiring the church hall, filling it with toys and just letting the babies run riot for an hour :o

I'll have a think about the star wrap! It might be useful. Did anyone use them in a pram though? She has a double side by side, and no car seat to put in and out, car seat will be remaining in the car.

I do think it is very strange that pikz, fatima and I seem to have acquired such adventurers, when they were all born on the same day.

I never really thought there was much about star signs or the like. But I am starting to wonder.
