I belong to an MK group where people post shout outs etc. I posted asking if anyone knew him - he replied...

Pass was very polite. I was a tad withering,

What's the latest on sleep then? Currently trying self settling with zero success. Hurrah!

Please god say its not only me

Irish coffee pass? Best of both worlds? It's always hideous on the first Wednesday of August, this year was particularly bad. I am thankful (prematurely I know) that I will never ever have to do a "first ever day of being a doctor" ever again.

C'mooooooooon MM!

I know what MM's surprise is nyah nyah nyaaa na na Wink

Katie Lily lovely to see you! J is OK self settling at night but at nap time - not of late ever other than in a blue moon!. Apparently he needs a bosom for a pillow (as the song goes... showing my age).

(Hums cornershop tune)

She's now in a cot which is amazing but will not fall asleep solo. She doesn't feed to sleep or need rocking etc but likes a cuddle. Fine. Except she's started trying to crawl off or not want to be pinned in when she's not ready to drop off quite yet. If I put her down though she just plays then meltsdown when she eventually notices she's exhausted.

I don't want her to cry but I don't want to pin her down either??? I'm also working a little now so need naps and evenings to write and edit.

Is all the news man related? How exciting.

Evening all, what've I missed? Starting where I left off as always :)

Det I might try a bit of ham then, wouldn't give it often cos of salt content - what kind of small are we talking? You know how I worry and need everything literally spelling out for me Blush

hope you enjoyed the chocolates pass and the time catching up with work related things.

fatima I can imagine it being a bit tricky, but it sounds like she's getting used to not bf'ing in the day doesn't it.

That's it now det you won't shut him up now he's started!

vq glad you're enjoying the peace and quiet :)

woohoo stunt that's great :) I am not looking forward to e standing after him twatting his head earlier the one time he's pulled himself up!

det I'd stick with the two naps I think - well i'd have to for e because he'd full on meltdown at even the thought of just one I reckon! I think it's probably developmental or at least I hope it is cos E is fighting naps atm! I'd also see if they work out their own ways to get him to sleep - perhaps tell them that you resort to the pram if he won't go off, maybe? as a kind of failsafe?

nah sophia that sounds fairynuff to me!

i've only tried e with crumpets once, he seemed confused and didn't eat any. I have some, maybe he could try some for breakfast tomorrow. I am a bit less bothered about spooning something into him at breakfast cos he doesn't really eat much anyway. He will eat ek baby brekkie pouches, or organix fruit pots or yoghurts. Do I go with this and try weetabix etc every few days or do I keep giving him 'proper' breakfast in the hope he gives up wanting yoghurts/ek brekkie etc?

e loved breadsticks when he had them, but i've never let him actually eat one yet. He's not had them for ages though tbf. when he did i just let him suck the hummus off them and took them off him if they broke Blush I had visions of one getting perfectly lodged in his throat.

hey katie! Sleepwise we've always had it pretty damn good here but most recently he has learned to move and is struggling to self settle and keeps waking early in the morning. I am crossing everyfuckingthing that he goes back to his 12 hourly night stints and lovely 'pop him down and walk away' naps!

ooh lookit you all with your exciting lives and suspense!!!! Smile

aw bplp I bet it doesn't get any easier losing patients :( hugs

oh c'mon guyyyys with your brill news... spill already!!!

forgot to say, one of my best friends and his new gf came round earlier to visit and for various reasons i've not seen him in months and he's not seen e for ages either, and e was such a good boy :) tea time wasn't even that difficult considering it had lumps of steak in it, was really proud of him. This has resulted in a broody kyz which will be gone as quickly as it came when he has me up early in the morning again

A friend of mine just graduated and is in a place beginning with p and ending in mouth... Pm if you're in the same place so you can help her. She did declare on fb that there were no deaths today in her care. at idea of being ill in August.

Ok I will put my news on fb in a bit. It's just legal bs, but VERY nice to hear.
