sophia it is a horrible feeling being comapred and belittled by ILs. Mine only started acknowledging me as anything other than DP's midlife crisis when I got pregnant Hmm. They are very forthcoming with their criticisms. (not strictly fair actually, FIL is lovely..) Stuff them and do what works for you and your gorgeous kids Smile .

Thanks for the gluten-free info Caped. My DS2 is currently under investigation for digestive problems so it might be an idea for me to be more careful when weaning J (when the time comes).

Sophia the new house has four bedrooms so DS1 and DS2 won't have to share any more and J will have a room to go into. The extra reception room will be a playroom for the boys. On the subject of potty training, my DS1 was trained at 3.5 years. Because he was ready for it, i.e. the neural development was already complete, it only took a week to go from nappies to trained. If you start earlier then you can still toilet train them but the process takes longer. Remember girls can usually be toilet trained earlier than boys as well.

So I had my last dose of Cerazette on Saturday night before my realisation of what it was doing. 48 hours on I feel half human again. Just got to make sure I don't get up duffed before snip happens.

I'm hoping little pig will follow in her mummys footsteps when it comes to toilet training. My grandparents bought me some "big girl knickers" which I loved (so I'm told). What I failed to grasp was that they had zero absorbancy. I was apparently mortified/distraught/hysterical when I innocently went for a wee, only to find myself stood in a puddle with soggy big girl knickers. It was the one and only time I wet myself Blush.

I do recall some family friends who had 2 boys, and when the 2nd was toilet trained they used to wee at the same time, having odd competitions which resulted, often, in them weeing on the floor and it coming through cracks in the floorboards (old house) and dripping into the kitchen. Got to love boys!

LO self settled tonight in her crib, so I'm feeling a bit redundant. Going to go to bed, and cross everything for a nice few hours kip deserve it after epic cluster feed this evening

Night all

I'm a knob - LO is in size 3 nappies not size 4! I worry about me sometimes.

my SIL tried Portugal training when her SD was a year as her CM said she trained hers at 6 months! she went on and on about it but he 2.11 and in middle of toilet training now. they get it when they are ready. my DS2 poked on the lop from 22 months but didn't get weeing in the loo until about s year after that Smile

OK I missed the last thread by virtue of dropping the tablet - took it to John Lewis today to argue for a replacement and it miraculously recovered at the customer services desk. Oh the shame - mad new mother stereotype fulfilled Blush

Will try to catch up! Short summary from us - put an offer in on a fab family home - we find out tomorrow.... Jonas is sleeping again now he's back in the swaddle (7hrs straight last night) so we're chickening out of the sleeping bags for a while. Finally my wee prem niece is in hospital with the cursed broncalitus (spelling?) Sad she seems to be responding well to treatment thank goodness - am selfishly v paranoid that Jonas might have been exposed but he seems well.

I would think it was an April baby thing regarding potty training if I didn't know a chid who is 4days older than dd and dry... But my dd shows no interest really sophia & she's the same age as vqs dd, despite a drawer full of lovely knickers a thirty-fucking pound bloody potty FFS!! She still happily walks round with a nappy full of poo :( I've bought the £1.41 nappies (20 of them) from Sainsburys in the hope got they are slightly less absorbent and she'll notice doing a wee more.

DS was bought the Braun Thermoscan in-ear thermometer for Christmas. Brilliant. Dead easy to use and seems accurate. Pretty pricey though and the tip covers are a bit steep too.

Sleeping bag seems to have stretched A to going over 8hrs last night. But given he's done a 4hrly & 5hrly stint today, I doubt we'll have such a good one tonight, so off to bed. Night all!!

Oh bloody hell, typed long post and lost it...stupid lap top.

In summary, has 2nd set of jabs tomorrow.

Congrats mrvq. DH can't drive and I know when -if- he eventually learns i'll be nervous as hell whenever he uses the car.

Waves to blonder E is being weighed on wednesday. Shes's not doing too bad. I've been really bad though as not topped her up for a while. I was having to do it by syringe and she cried all th time during it and it just became too unpleasant for both of us. Will update as to how much she has gained on wednesday. Sounds like L is coming on in leaps and bounds. You must be very relieved.

5hrs then 4hrs. He drains a 6oz EBM bottle at each feed so clearly hungry. Clearly the 7hrs last week was a fluke. He is dead set now on a midnight and 4am feed.

I can only dream of that chunky J just did 4 hours, which is wonderful but his breathing sounds horrid.

Music. Mixed ability Y6. Composition. I'm thinking pop stuff, 4 basic notes, write a catchy chorus. Then extend to add percussion instruments, write a verse or two, add the chords etc. Maybe start off talking about x factor/bgt and at the end they perform to the class and I'll ask the audience for 2 Cheryls (positives) and a Simon (area for improvement)

Adele 'Someone like you' fits the 4 chord pattern, think Olly Murs 'Troublemaker' does but I'll need to check 5minutes on the piano there's loads of others :)

Why am i thinking about this when i need to sleep? Serves me right for checking my email on night feeds Angry

N now LO has demanded milk.
1- got up to get a drink. And fell on to bed.
2- his alarm went off but he didn't wake
3- sat down on bed to put sock on and say on my foot.

Pp do you have a lesson plan pro former to fill in? i can email you mine. Have you requested student details? Ie special needs? Have you thought about different abilities in the class? Do you know what other things they have learnt this year. Sry if I'm being patronising. Just asking all the questions I would ask if I went on an interview.

Report
PurplePidjin · 05/02/2013 05:45

No, yes please, email came this afternoon so i haven't responded yet :) not patronising, necessary!!!

Fh needs to be left with baby and bottle and told to man the fuck up.

Well LO slept through but her temp is 38.6 this morning. I think my Dr expects me to take her in with just a fever after 3 days if no improvement. The only other symptomistyat she's in a bad mood and a bit whimpery.

She slept through though, I so was not expecting that.

Report
GTbaby · 05/02/2013 06:30

PR. can you call your dr and double check? My dr has them in straight away with a temp.

And Hmm I'm still awake.
