zcos what is LO sleeping at night at the moment? M doesn't sleep through yet but I'm not really expecting her to yet. She's far too greedy Grin

M wasn't happy with baby massage, she screamed and demanded boob. As soon as the class finished she was all smiles

Well done on finishing the old thread Pass it was a hard fought battle! Tell me more about gluten-free weaning please.

We have a house! After accepting an offer on our current house last Monday, we have had our offer on a house accepted today. FC it will all go through and we will be moving in May, just in time for J to get a nursery at 6 months old. I won't be counting my chickens though since everything went pear-shaped last time we tried to move.

Jeez you lot can talk Grin

Saw the hv this morning at exactly 13 weeks J is 13lbs 1oz and the horrible burn type sores on his bits and his thigh is thrush, she said to try a few days with just cotton wool and water for changing and leaving nappy off as much as possible, is that doesn't work then to go back to GP because he's also full to brim with snot and he's struggling with feeding/breathing again, brochiolitus really is a massive shit.

ValiumQueen · 04/02/2013 15:39

He feels like a grown up now, apparently. At 42. Best start acting like one then! Thank you all for your congratulations. I will tell him when his head is back to normal size.

ValiumQueen · 04/02/2013 15:45

Great news stunt

tits you have been given something for his thrush on his bum though? Water will not sort it, it needs clotrimizole or something! Please do not be fobbed off, with that or his breathing.

Report
PetiteRaleuse · 04/02/2013 15:47

Tits LO has a dose of thrush too :( the cream the Dr gave me on Thursday isn't shifting it.

I agree bronchiolitis is evil.

Size three teats caused massive vom session.

Now what do I do??!!! Take them back and try vari flow? Try in a week?!

Report
GTbaby · 04/02/2013 16:02

Horsy this teat stuff is confusing.
LO has 4 size 1 teats n 2size 2.
I use them all during a day.
He drools alot with size 2.
Det mentioned her LO stopped with size three. So tempted to try those out... Or may jut buy one pack n see of ty suit before buying 6.

Report
fruitpastilles · 04/02/2013 16:11

GT, I just got 1 pack of size 3's to begin with, they were much better and it was a pain in the bum then when I didn't have 6! If u get 6 at least if he doesn't use them straight away you have them for when he needs them, so they won't be a waste either way.

Report
gardenpixie32 · 04/02/2013 16:17

Apart from dribbling, we didn't have any vom with the size 3 teats.

Bloody Call the bloody Midwife. Watching on iPlayer so only on ep2 but in floods again. Bloody stupid bloody baby stories. Don't know why I do it to myself.

Oh and woo hoo MrVQ & yes, pass think it was me with the smiling & cooing baby, fred before last... Grin

zcos I have a 'stepford wife' neighbour. Perfectly clean house, cream carpet with a 3yo DD, who wears white jeans without getting them stained etc. I have heard her shout at her DD (through the walls, they are quite thin) & say some not v nice things to her on occassion, in the heat of the moment. What I'm saying is, nobody is perfect. Do what you can get done, maybe make sure you have clean cups for tea, declutter where you'll be sitting a little & a clean loo & leave it at that. A true friend wouldn't judge.

For thrush all that properly worked was daktarin mouth gel and timcolo bum cream. Looked so much better after 24 hrs and all gone after 3 days. Have to finish 7 day course.

Horsey when we went from size 1 to size 2 I had to keep trying them each week til he was happy. Also found had to use size 1 at night for a few nights longer.

Fuck a duck VQ!! There's gonna be a party of some description! in Valium Castle tonight!

Remember the feeling of getting them passed! The utter relief of never having to drive with the twat again!! that life would be so much easier! I did it with ex DP and DP. Must be mental. Nearly killed both of them and them me, with their driving 'skills'!.

Nappies - size 2 here. Mostly because I'm a stingy cow. Get 42 size 2 nappies for same price as just 30 size 3 grrrr. So he can stay in the 2's as long as bloody possible! The 3's are waaaaay bigger too. We have a pack and used 2 of them as there were no 2's in store. Well, they were near his nipples! Once he is in size 3 I'll order a big box of them from kiddicare.

Oscar has possetted more since having size 2 teats. Its about the same with size 3. He doesn't do a lot, just small bits. It's trapped wind that causes the full on projectile voms usually! Anyway the 3's have changed my life!! Literally! Feeds are more pleasurable as he is much faster 10-15 mins, as opposed to 30-45 minutes. Less fussing too.

Does anyone find it difficult to get them to take a proper feed when out? He never takes a full feed, and I often have to wake him or he will end up not having enough in the day thus waking up more at night!. Or he wakes and starts crying and you know he wants a feed. Then by the time you have found somewhere to sit and feed him he's gone back to sleep, then I have to wake him...

No Detective, my girls are greedy monsters despite only weighing 12lbs at 18 weeks. They scream for milk every 3 hours and God help you if you haven't found a place for them to have their milk. Then people want to come and coo at them and ask you a million questions while you are trying to feed two hungry babies. They ALWAYS remind me when it is milk time.

He's inverting the teat and bending it on the 2's now. Feeds taking about 45mins? Which is you go to a group and he wants feeding is the group lol. Someone suggested changing bottles just to see?? Just he literally bought up the feed as we were going? Was horrid. Changed back to 2's and he was ok again?

The test thing is weird. P's milk is slightly thickened so we have been on size 2s for ages. I had 2 size 3s in the house (thank you tommee tippee starter kit) and tried her with those. Great! Took more milk, less fussing and less dribbling.

detective p is pretty easily distracted from food so going out can easily mean accidentally missing a feed. Then if I try to feed her she is so distracted by what is around her it can be hard. I actually avoid feeding her anywhere but home because she can be so difficult to fee sometimes. As she eats every two hours it can make leaving the house tricky.

Congratulations to valiumking! I learned to drive at 24, living in a rural hamlet with no bus service and two small kids in tow. Changed my life.

My two are in just4bums size 3 nappies (the kiddicare ones), but I wonder if they are on the bigger side since R is 12lb 8oz and S is 11lb 1oz and someone else mentioned being in size 4 at 12lb?

I am another one that waffles non-stop at my babies. I like talking to them though and I think it is good for them! I have also been known to dance and sing like a tuneless nutter.
