Yep - she just got home and she's had a great day. No voms. Phew!

I think going with the flow sounds like an excellent plan!

Hope everyone's had a good weekend and those poorly are on the mend.

DH starts a 3mth temp job tomorrow and I have had an enjoyable weekend. Took DS to the local castle on Saturday as it was free entry for the day and then in the evening i went with a friend to watch Anton & Erin dancing. I wrote out a question in the interval for the Q&A session and they answered it. For anyone interested, no Anton's trousers havn't split during a performance but he did break his zipper before a dance on Strictly so Erin had to stick pretty close Grin.

Looks like we will be needing a new thread title soon, Suggestions anyone?

Hello!

I vote for number 2 (after epic tantrums this weekend at a Family Lunch)

I like number two too - tantrums are an everyday occurrence chez TwentiethCenturyGirl...

We've got the pox in the house at the moment , so I'm excusing any bad behaviour on health related grounds. How's your DS ILike? Was it the pox after all?

Just had to bath b after a pretty spectacular back garden play session. I was planting up my pots, turned round and he had managed to turn on the hose a trickle, mix this with the huge bag of compost on the ground and him then running off and sliding down the grassy hill = very dirty boy! It was everywhere!

Poor poxy kids, b has had a cough and a runny nose (again!) all weekend. I'm fed up of snot!

How do they get so messy when you turn your back for a second? We were at a messy play session this afternoon and M tends to like to be outside most of the time. I was helping tidy up, the next thing i knew she'd gone inside and managed to cover her coat in red paint. I only washed it yesterday....
We had a 5am start today which is really unusual. Hope it's not a new trend. I don't need to have any practice for when newborn arrives - I'm 30 weeks now and counting down my weeks left at work.

Ok, very slack but have so far only managed to read back 6 pages so will do a wee catch up and then read some more tomorrow!

First of all well done to you Kitty for seeing your Dr/HV and getting help with your PND. I know how difficult it can be and it takes a lot of strength to admit there is a problem and deal with it appropriately. There's no harm in trying the ADs either, I took them for around 6 months after being diagnosed with PND when R was 1(!!) and they did me the world of good.

As for the terrible two's - GOD we are all over that like a rash. I can't believe how stroppy and diva-like R actually is!! Everything is "MINE" at a thousand decibels. Most other things are "NO" at a similar volume and for the rest she just ignores what she doesn't want to hear!
I almost put her up for adoption last Friday after a particularly bad day, which involved - making a lot of mess with a tiny tin of Vaseline, a screaming tantrum in Asda where I earned a slap in the face for my efforts and finally destroying her bedroom when we got home when she should have been napping, by ripping a shelf off the wall!!!!
We are potty training just now too, started off very well but regressed a bit when we went to France last month so we're only just getting back to where we were before we left!! On the whole I can't complain too much, she just needs to work on consistency, she can go days without an accident and then will just randomly pee on the floor and not tell anyone. She's also taken to peeing on the naughty step in protest so we're ignoring that until she realises it doesn't get a reaction!!

In bump news, I am now nearly 30 weeks!! How did that happen!? I am also MASSIVE!!! :( Much bigger than I was with R. I'm blaming the fact that bump is a boy (can't remember if I told you that or not) and it's nothing to do with the amount of cake I've been eating!! How are the rest of the pg laydees??

I seem to have written a novel mostly about me and R, woops!! Will try and keep up more regularly but finding time an issue these days and I recon I'm only going to have less of it soon enough!

I vote for suggestion two as well, perfectly sums up P yesterday as she was staring at my defiantly whilst I was coming in the door loaded with bags from the car and she was peeling off the hallway wallpaper.

Potty training is looming here! Can anyone recommend a book/website/strategy?
Tomorrow is my marking deadline, it's going to be tight but at least it's going to be OVER!

Mrsw and green where has that 30 weeks gone? What are your due days?

Thanks Mrsw. I am taking the anti deprresants and feeling so much more like myself. I didnt realise how bad it was until they kicked in. I am enjoying the boys again now.

Reckon terrible twos need to be in our new title.

S could be worse, but we do get NO alot with a whiny voice.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 18/06/2013 11:56

Potty training is underway here too. Going quite well so far. She definitely gets it but we're still having the odd accident. We're making it up as we go along to be honest!
