Did you eat too much of the tablet you were making? ;)

GlaikitFizzog · 04/06/2013 14:28

'twas the child

A one off thought so I can cope!

YoniHuman · 04/06/2013 15:31

Just checking in, been lurking but nothing much of any interest to report. Right now I am procrastinating on MN when I should be sorting out all the baby stuff/clothes ready for a nearly new sale on Saturday.
DH has an interview tomorrow for a temp 6month post. The money is half what he was on before but we can't afford to be fussy these days.
At least the sun is finally shining. Smile
It was also my birthday a couple of weeks ago, I originally met DH on my 21st birthday. This means we've now been together 15 years Shock. Where does the time go?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/06/2013 20:59

What is tablet? Am I being a bit thick? I feel I should know.

Good luck to your dh tomorrow yoni, fingers crossed.

I know what you mean about time flying by. In my mind i still think that my relationship with dh is a new one, but we've been together 9 years!

Nothing interesting to report here. I've ordered the kitchen floor tiles - that's about as interesting as my life has been today!

GlaikitFizzog · 04/06/2013 21:01

It's a bit like fudge only better, crumbly not chewy!

YoniHuman · 04/06/2013 21:40

I'm choosing bits for our new kitchen too ILike Have decided on brownish padded lino tile type floor and ivory shaker units with dark wood effect worktops. I don't know what colour to go for with the wall tiles/paintwork though Confused

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/06/2013 21:40

Ahh, now you say that I think I do know what it is. My bil likes butter tablet which I guess is the same thing.

I am getting sucked into Game of Thrones threads on here. I'm reading the third book of seven (I think) and I am totally and utterly addicted.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/06/2013 21:45

When I need inspiration for interiors I look in magazines and brochures to get ideas. I find something I like then copy it!!

We've got grey rectangular floor tiles, White integrated handle cupboards and wood worktops. I think we're going to go retro/70's colours on the Walls, and probably glass splash backs on the wall instead of tiles. The amount of decisions becomes mind boggling after a while.

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 04/06/2013 22:22

We've got the lurgy. I woke up feeling awful, put it down to dehydration. But ended up with horrible stomach cramps and feeling worse earlier this evening.

Now it seems F has the same. He's been fine all day but had diarrhoea this evening. And has woken screaming about a sore tummy. I've just rung the doc to see if they can do anything.

I'm sure he needs to drink but between screaming sessions he only wants to sleep.
Waiting for the doc to ring back.

Do you have kiddie dioralyte UBW? Tbh if he wants/needs to sleep then he'll rehydrate when he wakes.

I got fed up with GoT! He killed to many people and turned strong, interesting characters into snivelling whingers. There's only so much sex and violence I can take.

DS is ill again. 3rd chesty cold in 6 weeks, we're using the inhaler much more often than I'd like and he's on bed with me tonight. In a way it's lucky DH is away but I'm feeling horribly stressed and being PG isn't helping. I have this horrible feign I'm only going to be allowed to keep one of them and I'm petrified of losing either :( I've been scaring myself that he has TB, although it wasn't mentioned at either hospital and presumably it was tested for. Also his last chest X-ray was clear.

Good luck to DH, yoni! Do you fancy keeping it neutral or putting a splash of colour in there? What's your crockery like? I adore Pinterest for decoration ideas - I can spend hours decorating my dream home!

Tablet sounds yummy. I don't think I've ever had it. Want to share a recipe?

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 04/06/2013 23:25

Doctor tried to get us seen locally, but they're busy. So said to keep him up and drinking for a couple of hours and ring back if we're worried.

I feel terrible still! But after getting the bubbles out and a massive fart F seems much happier.

Trying to keep him drinking is a bit of a mish.

Nom you sound stressed. x

YoniHuman · 05/06/2013 00:43

Get well soon wishes sent in the direction of UBW & Nom's homes.

I think a bit of colour in the kitchen would be nice, I'm thinking maybe some greens to go with the brownish floor and dark wood worktops. The entire rest of the house is blue carpet and varying shades of yellow-cream walls (previous owners decor, we have been here 5 years but we havn't done any decorating). My crockery, although it hardly deserves that description is leftover from the days of Woolworths and we tend to also use our plastic picnic set at home A LOT as its easier if we're eating on the couch. Blush.

I got the entire set of GoT books for my birthday. I havn't started them yet as am trying to reduce my pile of borrowed library books first. I am loving the TV series too, so many lovely men to choose from, I can't decide who I like the best. rubs hands up & down knees in the fashion of a dirty old man Grin.

GlaikitFizzog · 05/06/2013 06:10

Our kitchens sound similar. We have dark wood work tops, cream gloss units, brown flooring. Out walls (what you can see of them) ar a deep red and out tiles a hard to describe. Multi coloured in natural stone colours is the best I can do. I'll take some pics and post them!

5.30 start from the boy who doesn't sleep! Although that was normal for before anyway. Bedtimes 100% back to normal and no waking up! Yay!

Was glorious yesterday here rumour has it is was 25 degrees at one point! Of course I didn't see any of it bloody work

I hope it lasts til the weekend as it is our village gala day. B is in the parade! I may get emotional!

GlaikitFizzog · 05/06/2013 06:19

Pics on my profile now!

GlaikitFizzog · 05/06/2013 06:27

Profile gone bananas, photos here

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 05/06/2013 07:58

{{nom}} sounds like you're stressed and anxious. Dealing with everything on your own AND being pregnant must be tough. Something's got to give and often it can be your MH. Can you speak to your GP about ds and go through all his test results and the use of the inhaler etc? Talking about it may help.

IME anxieties of any kind were worse when I was pregnant. I found it such a responsibility to be growing and keeping safe a child in me. In fact I know two pg ladies at the moment whose anxieties have gone through the roof, so I don't think it's uncommon.

Is dh back soon?

Kittycatcat · 05/06/2013 11:27

Big Hugs Nom. Definately see the doc as ilike suggests. Very hard being pregnant and dealing with life.

Kittycatcat · 05/06/2013 13:13

Just broke down at work. Massive panic attack. Haven't had one that bad for years. A consultant was telling me a client has complained after I left him in reception, he waited 15 mins for her. She's have to give hima free coaching session. She's one of my old bosses so I pulled her aside and told her whats going on with me and it wasn't a excuse but it was my first muzzy day. She was great and stayed with me while I calmed down and is going to talk to our new md about sorting my line manager as I don't have one at the mo, and tell her what's going on. Can't stop crying.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 05/06/2013 13:23

Oh kitty ((hugs)) Can you get signed off work for a while?

Kittycatcat · 05/06/2013 13:42

Im not sure it would help / work logisitically Ali.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 05/06/2013 14:12

Hmm Kitty. What Ali said sounds sensible. Is it worth having another chat to the (nice) doctor?

Kittycatcat · 05/06/2013 14:20

Im seeing him a week today for more tabs and check up. He only works Wednesdays :(. HV is coming tomorrow for a listening session.

TwentiethCenturyGirl · 05/06/2013 18:57

Boo. Alright for some with their one day weeks!

On a more serious note, at least you know you've got something booked in with him and that you'll have a friendly ear to listen to you tomorrow. Keep on talking to us too Smile

GlaikitFizzog · 05/06/2013 20:41

Hugs all round, kitty, there is no shame in taking some time off until you get herself sorted. The first few weeks can be the hardest. You acknowledge the problem but the ads don't kick in for a few more weeks.

Can I tell you a story that may make you smile/laugh?

As you all know I have been slaving over my soup pot making tablet. It involves around 20 minutes of boiling and constantly stirring, then 10 minutres of beating the life out of the deadly molten mixture. My arms ache. And I have loads of little burns from spluttering sugar.

Tonight was the stalls. I pitch up all new and shiney mummy ready to do her first bake sale. Well they were like savage beasts. I was trying to set up and people were grabbing stuff yelling "how much", touching stuff with their bare hands then not buying. Actually fighting over some fancy cupcakes! Animals, they were animals. My tablet sold out first, so I'm a but smug about that, but I actually feel like I've done ten rounds with Tyson. Are all bake sales like that? I wish I had offered to take the guess the stuffed toys birthday draw thing. That was more civilised!
