Sorry you are having DP trouble pikz

Good job mm

I had my long term contraception discussion tonight at the DR she wants me to try a mirena coil before I go for sterilisation but I am worried about bleeding and loss of sex drive and holding on to some lbs. I am happy to give it a go but if I continue bleeding I will be v depressed.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 20:33

Tat's great news Blonder

Tongue tie is so common which is why all new birns are checked here.

Both DDs have their post bronchiolitis check ups tomorrow. Hope this is the last we will hear of the B word.

Trying new bedtime technique with DD1 this evening. Well, DH is. Hope she oes down soon. U's already been half an hour and I can hear her chatting away still.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 20:34

OK my typing has gone to pot. Sorry.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 20:34

What I meant to add on there was does anyone have any experience of the mirena coil?

gardenpixies32 · 09/01/2013 20:36

Want to share a special milestone that happened today. My DTs noticed each other for the first time! I put them side by side in their cot and they stared at each other for ages, smiling and cooing away. It was so lovely to watch them!

pikz · 09/01/2013 20:38

Sophia i had one for 5 years and had horrific periods before it. After 6 weeks it stopped all bleeding for 3/4 years. I had a few issues the last year but that was a few different things. I did hold on to a few lbs and so had to work harder to keep them off. It's good but it can take a while to conceive after it so not recommended if you want another soon.

pikz · 09/01/2013 20:39

Awesome news blinder! Very chuffed for you!

Yep pixies they have had such a hard time!!

GTbaby · 09/01/2013 20:43

Awe garden that's so cute Smile
We went to a baby massage class today. Was weird seeing lo react to other babies crying. He was well behaved thankfully. Until last 5 mins Wink.
There was a teeny tiny baby there bill girl. At 8 weeks was half the size of my giant baby. Just wanted to scoop her up n cuddle her. Was a nice class tho. N looking forward to nxt week Grin

Had 12 week jabs today. DH came to. I wanted him to go alone but he said no, the big wuss. He was worried LO would cry a lot. No shit Sherlock!

Right Off to catch up on the days chatter.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 20:47

That's lovely gp

Thanks pikz one tick in the positive box, one in the negatives so far then!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 20:48

Think I am done, I have my family and am keen to start enjoying them rather than being pregnant all the time and sorting out toddlers!

kirrinIsland · 09/01/2013 20:55

Congrats on your win cat - it looks lovely should do, at that price!

Happy birthday horsey

The sheep present is a lovely idea Freddie but surely he should be called Ewan?!

garden that's a great milestone - must be lovely to see.

N has done nothing but sleep today. That means I've got loads done, but I'm not optimistic about getting much sleep tonight!

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 09/01/2013 21:21

Yay blonder that's great news

Aww garden that's so lovely

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 21:25

Great news blonder but that must have been horrid for both of you. Hugs. Hopefully he will get fat real quick.

freddie you push the cot mattress over so it meets yours, ensure it is the same height , and put padding in the other side by the bars. Only suitable if unable to move around cot really and I do not leave him in it alone ever. I have a plywood base under the mattress to help bridge the gap and ensure support. Cot is physically tied to bed to ensure no movement causing a gap. I do not have money to spare for a proper bedside cot.

garden I thought twins would be aware of each other from before birth. I had no idea it was a milestone. Congratulations.

pikz tempted to swap. Mine is useless but cannot drive.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 21:41

garden that's lovely. Sat here sobbing in front of Africa ont telly and you've cheered me up :)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 21:43

Is everyone off watching OBEM and remembering!?

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 21:45

I'm going to watch it after Africa :)

gardenpixies32 · 09/01/2013 21:45

VQ I am sure they are aware of each other. But today was the first time there was interaction between them! They discovered their BFF!

gardenpixies32 · 09/01/2013 21:49

Am sad camera happy first time mummy and have put the pic on my profile.

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 09/01/2013 21:55

I'm watching OBEM Sophia Smile I think I'd cry even more at Africa tbh, can't stand watching animals get hunted and killed, I know it's nature but it's so sad!

Got prescribed antibiotics over the phone for the hole in my section scar today, kind of hoping it'll close up on its own, scared the antibiotics will give me and then LO thrush

NotSoNervous · 09/01/2013 22:05

Congrats cat I'm sure there's some great stuff

Happy Birthday horsey

LO has been bathed, fed and now asleep in bed. I should get a bath but CBA so will get up half hour earlier in the morning instead

FC all goes well tomorrow petite

How I'd you find baby massage GT? we had it today too and DD was actually calm during the whole thing ignores the fact she was impressed before and after

Ladies who have done swimming, are you doing actual classes or just going to your local pool?

NotSoNervous · 09/01/2013 22:07

garden just had a look at your girls pic on your profile, their beautiful and I love the picture of them at 5w

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 09/01/2013 22:10

My midwife was on OBEM last week, I had an attempted homebirth with midwifes from Leeds general infirmary. It makes me cry every time I watch it, doesn't make me want to do it again though.

Happy birthday horsey

ShellyBobbs · 09/01/2013 22:13

Fatima Tommy is 8w 3d and we haven't done it yet. It doesn't help that Tommy sleeps with us and we have a wandering 12 year old that hogs the bathroom for about 2 hours every night and doesn't go to sleep until after midnight. Kids, the best contraception ever!

Garden That is so cute, I bet you had tears in your eyes :)

Hello Donna

Tommy did his first baby chuckle today at my friend who was pulling faces at him, it was sooooo sweet. He has been feeding like a monster the last few days and just looks like the chunkiest thing ever now, even his snow suit is tight on him, it was only 3 weeks ago that it buried him.

Someone I work with had a baby a couple of weeks ago, the baby got stuck at the pushing stage as his head was facing sideways, he was far too down for a CS. They ended up cutting her from front to back and side to side, when they delivered him they discovered that his cord was wrapped around his body and had snapped! Thankfully they are both fine, although she is VERY sore, her baby needed to be resuscitated. She said she kept telling the midwife that something was wrong but she kept telling her to push, eventually she demanded to see the consultant who discovered that the baby was stuck. Frightening!

ShellyBobbs · 09/01/2013 22:14

Happy birthday Horsey

BigPigLittlePig · 09/01/2013 22:19

Shelley "They ended up cutting her from front to back and side to side"

^ so no need for me to think of contraception, will just imagine this and suddenly the urge will pass
