Not OTT at all sophia

Detective your dad sounds thoughtless. I think a lot of people don't realise / have forgotten what it is like to struggle.

LO slept 8 hours. Unfortunately I couldn't get to sleep and then was woken several times by DD1.

The physio has already been this morning. Not coming tomorrow as we have Dr appointment, but last session hopefully will be Friday. Poor LO she starts shrieking as soon as she hears his voice.

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 07:41

petite great on LO sleeping. Not so great on the rest.

J slept very well. Just two wakenings. One for decent feed and one for a snack. Eventually woke at 7. Very pleased, but I feel like I have been hit on head with mallet.

GTbaby · 09/01/2013 07:45

Soph. As I said other day be the OTT mum. It's ok! Better that then LO getting worse. I went to the gp over a snotty LO with a very slight temp. Better that then worrying or having to make trip to A&E.

Detective. I find silence is usually best with DH. However I'm to forgiving chatty n end up talking to him. One time I managed one word answers for 3 days was the most effective as he walked around me like a list puppy n genuinely apologised.
Also BAD dad! We r in no way struggling for money but even I would be pissed off if my dad spent that much on a ticket. Maybe a sly comment on "spending the money on saving bonds for LO would have been wiser " (as he then cant turn it back on u n call u selfish AS IF FIXING UR ROOF IS SELFISH but u know some rich ppl r like that).

Anyway LO woke at 6 for feed. Now I can't sleep Hmm n have only just managed to connect to MN as phone was being s pain. should really get up n use this time effectively n have a nice long shower.

pikz · 09/01/2013 07:56

Dectective I think it's time for a few sharp words in your house! Wow £8k!!

Well done to all the sleeping babies. I managed just two feeds at 2 and 5 and then now. He has turned the 5am one for the last couple of days into a 2oz snack. Wondering if he will drop it soon... Or is that wishful thinking Smile

GTbaby · 09/01/2013 07:58

Question for u.
LO feeds at 10pm of 6oz. Nxt feed at 6am. Last few days he only takes 4oz. U would think he would be super hungry? He usually has 6oz at each feed. Should I b worried. Or am I being silly. I am being silly. Lol

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 08:27

Detective yes silence is the best policy, actually keeps you saner tbh for some reason. Your dad is being a tad selfish I feel, that kind of spend is a bit gratuitous.

vq glad LO is beginning to sleep a touch better. I hope your school run is more acceptable today!!

Have an appointment at 11:45 to have Olly checked over. He slept last night from 11:30 till 06:40 so I can't complain, DS1 had a snooze in too so I made it to nursery fully dressed and make upped. Ready for the day. Which will be filled with laundering poonami vests etc. I am still working my way through the. Heist as back log washing. Hmm

horseylady · 09/01/2013 08:37

Sophia - I had the same. I took ds.
Gt - I had the same too!!! Always found the next feed to be a massive feed!!

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 08:42

I was complaining only yesterday about not having a proper winter. Wll it got cold overnight (not extremely cold but about freezing which is colder than the 10-12 degrees we've been having) and I am shivering. There's something about being tired which makes the cold harder to handle. Epecially as it is damp.

I want extreme cold and sun. Please. Or a winning lottery ticket so I can afford 8k tickets to Oz.

horseylady · 09/01/2013 08:56

Oh detective - my fil similar. He complained about having no money. I think he forgets who helps with hid tax returns unpaid

Where in France are you? Cold here in the middle of the uk!!

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 08:58

I'm in the east on the border with Germany and Luxembourg

Passmethecrisps · 09/01/2013 09:08

It got chilly here overnight. It has been about 10oC the last week or so and really dreich. Cars need scraped this morning. I agree with you petite that very chilly and bright is so much nicer

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 09:19

Is horribly mild here in south east, desparate for a cold snap Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 09:20

I am. Really. I am a cold weather girl. All my kids get crotchety and grumpy in the hot weather.

StuntNun · 09/01/2013 10:05

Good advice Candy thanks. This is our third baby so you would think we knew what we were doing but I keep finding DH has left James in unsafe places. Last night I went into the living room and found him on the sofa, DH was upstairs! He's also quite happy to leave him on the change mat or to sit on the lid of the loo leaving James in the bath! And he doesn't bother with the straps on the swing or pushchair. It makes a mockery of me making a pillow barricade around James when I've left him in the middle of our bed, even though he would have to roll over several times to fall out.

Do they drop the 5 a.m. feed first then Pikz? I've noticed James only has a short feed then. Maybe if I can prolong the 2 a.m. feed then that might take him through to 6ish.

My DS1 is 10 years old tomorrow so I will have to contend with 12 boys at his party Shock. I can't believe it's been 10 years. I think it may have aged me 20 years although no grey hair or wrinkles just yet which ain't bad for 36.

Oo have just remembered happy birthday horsey

PetiteRaleuse · 09/01/2013 10:21

I'm crotchety in hot weather. May to August is not comfortable for me.

GTbaby · 09/01/2013 10:26

Stunt my LO dropped 2am feed first.

Horsey I treat the 6/7am feed as a night feed. Feed in dark, no talking etc. normally I go back to bed. But today realised its the best time for me to shower, as LO doesn't stir in that time.

pikz · 09/01/2013 10:26

Stunt I don't know...was thinking maybe as it now the smaller of the feeds...though knowing this tinker tomorrow he'll have 5oz!!

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 11:04

sophia school run was a dream. I took DD2 in the car to nursery and then took DD1 to school with DS in the pushchair. I then walked into the village. It was lovely! DD looked after DS while Daddy got dressed. He was fed and happy, in his bouncer, and Daddy was only a shout away. Daddy offered to take her to breakfast club, but I would have had to take DS to nursery with me. I prefer to not have him in the car unless I have to. Progress indeed Grin

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear horsey ,
Happy birthday to you!

Hip hip hooray! Hip hip horray!

GTbaby · 09/01/2013 11:25

Kyzordz · 09/01/2013 12:21

CandyPop · 09/01/2013 12:25

I know some of u look out for baby wipe offers... Waitrose is doing pampers bumper pack 6*56wipes for half price at 4.99

MissMummy1 · 09/01/2013 12:37

Happy birthday horsey !

Off to meet up with 2 of my antenatal yoga buddies this afternoon Grin

Last night was iffy. Bed at 10.30, then up at 12, 2 and 4 (not going back down again till 7) then awake at 10. This is a massive improvement on Sunday's allnighterConfused

glendathegoodwitch · 09/01/2013 12:42

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr another post lost!!! im now sat at pc desk balancing dottie on my thrupenny cushion with her tucked under my arm feeding while i type one handed!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HORSEY Thanks & Wine

detective wow 8 grand, i often wonder where we went wrong as we work hard with 3 jobs between me & dh and we dont smoke or drink more than a bottle of wine a week and we struggle :(

dottie chose to wake up from her jab induced sleep at 4 am and is feeding more so hopefully normal service is resumed

does anyone else get blue nipples from bf'ing or expressing?? its only for a few minutes after ive finished but they look decidedly smurf like Hmm

lane if i remember rightly lucky if i can remember my address these days your LO was born same day as dottie - 12.11?? she too is on the 9th centile and was weighed yesterday and is a dainty 9lbs 9oz

i agree with the useless dh's - they just cant do anything the same as we can - dh when he gives dots her evenig bottle its such a palaver, getting into position with cushions and takes sooo long getting her bib on that dots goes into meltdown and then wont take the bottle - and last night i nearly slapped him - i had to iron uniforms, do packed lunches, wash/sterilise bottles, wash up etc... so passed dots to dh cos hell will freeze over before he has the gumption to offer to do these jobs and while ironng i watch him tip his head back and start dozing off, i wake him up by telling him not to drop the baby and then he does it again and just as i watch his other non baby holding hand drop off his lap i was stood over him glaring i swoop dots off him and tut grrrrrrrrrr he sleeps well at night, sits in an office all day and then does sod all at home but then we go upstairs and suddenly hes awake enough to play far cry on ps3 wish id never bought the stoopid game fo xmas

sorry for the rant Blush

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 13:35

Whenever I give J to DH he puts him in the chair, even when I have asked him to keep him upright after a feed. You would think he would want to hold him, interact with him. Also if I am doing something and J starts crying, I have to ask him to pick him up.
