Aveeno cream you say sophia? Will give it a try. If anything grapeseed oil made it worse. Will give vasoline a bash too candy Smile

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 13:58

Definitely mm but make sure you get the lotion with oatmeal in not just the cream, they were singing it's praises at the docs today too but apparently they can't prescribe anymore as is too expensive.is not that bad.

Consensus is colic. Really. I feel is just a catch all when they are not sure. Like when they say oohs it is a virus.

YellowWellies · 09/01/2013 14:03

I agree sophia colic is a catch all lazy diagnosis which is a description rather than a real condition!

Great excitement in the feline household- I have just got an email from MN confirming that I have won the prize on the Amazon Family feedback thread! I had to go and investigate what the prize was as I had completely forgotten. It is a selection of 20 products from the OXO Tot range, including a sprout chair. I had absolutely no idea what a 'sprout chair' was- I found it [ www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003AM8CM8/ref=asc_df_B003AM8CM811401402?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B003AM8CM8 here]

I shall have to pick my favourite baby and put that one in the expensive chair. The bad baby can sit on the floor Grin

Catbag · 09/01/2013 14:19

Ffs

georgee · 09/01/2013 14:21

Ooh good news YW, thanks for the interest! (It was pages back now, I'm so rubbish at keeping up!) Will be in touch in the spring ...

I'm fearing that because of my laziness/easy life mentality I will be sleeping with the baby forever. He won't settle in his cot after a feed, even with Ewan, heating cot with hot water bottle etc. Say it ain't so ...

Catbag · 09/01/2013 14:24

DH just had to do that for me. Now he is lecturing me about correct linkage

YellowWellies · 09/01/2013 14:27

Just tick the 'convert link automatically' box underneath where you enter your post and give him a slap Grin. Fab chair!!!!!

capedcrusader25 · 09/01/2013 14:28

To add to candy - Sainsburys have a sale on their baby stuff so I'm stocking up on wipes, lotions and infacol! Somehow have managed to get £25 worth of stuff but when O has 2 full droppers of infacol in each bottle and goes every 2 hours in the day it adds up Hmm
Happy Birthday Horsey! Hope E is getting back to his usual self.
Much love & empathy to those having a hard time of it and to those who are not :)
Special hugs to the poorly babies x

KissysUnderTheMisteltoe · 09/01/2013 14:53

Happy birthday horsey Thanks

Great chair catbag!

Much better night here, gave LO the gaviscon after her last feed before bed and she went down ok Grin

Looking forward to one born every minute tonight, I blubbed at last weeks one Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 09/01/2013 15:16

Georgee We have the exact same problem - mentioned it at boob group breastfeeding support group this morning, and the head honcho there said something along the lines of "don't wish your baby out of your bed, there's nothing wrong with her being there blah blah, soon she'll be a teenager (!)". Only there is something wrong, many things. I have bought a cot. I do not sleep well as am scared of squashing her. I would like a cuddle with my dh. You get my point.

Kissys Have just watched some birth program from the other night. Also blubbed. One born is a nightmare, will have kleenex at the ready. Stupid hormones.

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 15:27

BPLP I have the side off my regular cot and have attached it to the side of my bed. I lean in to feed and gradually retreat. Works really well. Took a bit of fiddling to get the mattresses to meet, but will be good for transition.

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 15:30

cat I would sell the chair and buy two Ikea ones, spending the difference on a treat for you!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/01/2013 15:32

Phew. I have just told ex H about the move to Northern Ireland.

He didn't blow a gasket.

Think he is glad that I will be out of the picture.

Much relieved. Massive, oppressive weight off my shoulders.

Breathe and enjoy.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/01/2013 15:36

VQ that would be luxury indeed - sadly theres only room for a crib in our bedroom. Am thinking of wedging her into her crib with rolled up blankets, which they did when she was in hospital. She seemed to like that although with hindisght the jaundice did make her quite sleepy and obliging

FreddieMercurysBolero · 09/01/2013 15:42

hi everyone, i am so bad at keeping up with this thread!

Yay for winning things catbag:)

happy birthday horsey!

Glad things are on the up for you Detective, how is DS1 coping with it all or has he noticed? I know what you mean about your dad, my parents seem to have money for the first time ever after raising five children and are enjoying some nice holidays, they have bought us lovely gifts thelast few years for Christmas and birthdays but luxuries seem wasted when we struggle to afford the basics! So this year we asked for vouchers for home heating oil and something small for DS1. They gave him some lego and his own sheep! (my parents are farmers) so he can put any profits from lambs sold into his savings, which is lovely. His sheep is called Richard (why I don't know...) and will be having two lambs in February. :)

L is having a serious growth spurt, attached to my boob 24/7 and pooing like a maniac. Lovely. Got him weighed at the GPs yesterday and he's heading back towards the the 25th centile. DS1 is more interested in him now and keeps giving him hugs and kisses, it's very sweet!

FreddieMercurysBolero · 09/01/2013 15:45

Oh, people loking for cheaper wipes, I use tesco or boots own brand, they are just as good as Pampers etc. I don't rate the lidl ones, they gave D S1 a rash.

freddie I love that sheep idea, is just brilliant.

Well done on the win catbag lovely news for a murky jan day.

georgee · 09/01/2013 16:34

Exactly BPLP. It's mostly that DH can't be in the bed with us because I need the space to get into a guaranteed non-squishing position. I'd really like him back now. VQ we have a bednest and he can see me just next to him, I can't feed a boob in though without major contortions (mine must be too small!! Blush).

ValiumQueen · 09/01/2013 16:40

georgee I kinda put my head and upper body in, and make sure he is fairly near the join IYKWIM. I do not have foot long boobies. Not when feeding anyway, may well after I wean. I guess a bednest is a bit too small for that. It took a while to trust the cot to hold the added weight, but after hearing about DHs sleeping in cots I was reassured somewhat!

georgee · 09/01/2013 16:46

That's DS lies in the bednest, not DH!! Blush

Happy Birthday Horsey! Keep forgetting to say!
