That would be weird - to go out naked in this weather.

Sophia don't feel crappy. I think with potty training, like with most developmental milestones, we can help them or give situations that encourage, but they just have to do it in their own time. DD isn't potty trained and she's 2.8yo. I think she's starting to think about it & I feel like she's a bit "behind" given I know other children her age are dry but we've had to tell PILs to fuck off please leave it alone when they start going on about it. She shows interest in the potty, she knows what its for, she tells me if she's wee'd or pooey. She'll get there. How many 5+yos do you know in nappies (SEN aside)?

Also, GP suggested I try the mirena too. I'm a psycho bitch awful mess on the pill. Not sure if the 3-6mths it can take to settle down is too long to endure messed up cycles etc iyswim.

blonder great stuff!!

garden ahhhh! Too cute!!

Eliza know what you mean. DD took a bottle no probs, but not sure DS will. Have only tried 1 so have options but still...

detective you should def def ask. Also, he can give a tax free gift as long as he lives more than 7yrs after, so if he wants to help you/the estate avoid inheritance tax, there are definitely ways around it & worth raising now. Personally, I still would have a pension though but that's me, belts & braces Grin

pig sounds miserable. This too will pass mantra at the ready...

Getting paranoid that thrush will occur given LO & I have both had a course of antibiotics each since he was born. Eatng probiotic yogs but don't think they're hardcore enough.

I was going to post last night but my iPad froze & lost it all & I CBA to post again, so sorry if I missed anything.

I watched "how to be a good mother" last night. Ok so if I didn't feel crap enough about how rubbish I did at the potty training attempt I do now!

blonder so glad the TT is sorted. Hope it's done the trick and that LO is feeding nicely now and piling on the weight.

I left E with my sister last night to go and see the hobbit. She refused to take a bottle again. Wasn't too bad though as I was only gone 3 1/2 hours and I fed her before I left and straight away as I got back. I'm supposed to be out up town for a friends birthday Saturday so doesn't bode well for that. At this rate I can kiss goodbye to my social life. Not that I have much of one with 2 kids! Nor do I expect one. Most of my socialising is done with kids in tow but would be nice to know I could go out without them every now and then.

Ha ha horsey, it was boggling my brain trying to work out what word had got autocorrected into heave there!

Detective, GT makes a very good point, and if your Dad is as savvy with money as he sounds to be, the implications of gifting early will not be lost on him. My advice? Shy girls don't get sweets. Ask him Grin

Aw pig, that sounds miserable. I have done my fair share of being sat in tears with mangled boobs and it really is not nice. Feels very unfair. However, take each day at a time and try and give yourself some time this morning to try and settle yourself, even if it is just putting LO in the moses basket and having a quiet cup of tea. I cannot help with the reflux issue as I do not have any useful experience of it, but plenty of ladies here do, YW in particular, so they might be able to offer some advice. In the meantime

Rofl, I have forgotten what cleansing and moisturising feels like! I am lucky if I get a bath once a week :(

Terrible terrible night so am in need of a tiny self indulgent moan (if I may).

Went to bed at 11 after giving LO gaviscon & an almighty feed, of course she wouldn't settle in her crib, but neither would she settle in our bed despite trying all sorts of things. Eventually got to sleep some considerable time later, but she wriggled, squawked, kicked and grunted her way through to 3 when she fed again. Then once again wouldn't settle for 2 hours, and have just had an hour of broken sleep before she's up again. Have just sat feeding her in tears as my right boob is in agony, and when she does feed she keeps arching her back and crying.

To compound matters, any chance of a further sleep (providiing she nods off) has just been eliminated due to inconsiderate bastard builders using noisy cutting tool.

Rant over, apologies!
Sympathies for those of you having shit difficult nights Sad

Detective if you can heave him, do.

Also ask your dad to help so you can take 9months off. It took us a while to realise we could afford it. I assume you're band 5/6 and the difference for me taking 9 months was about £300 a month. Plus I want to go back part time initially and wanted to return to an increase in salary therefore it made sense to do 9 months. And what well save in nursery fees....

As I was reading ur post detective I was actually thinking "just ask him fit money now" so glad u have same idea. Also if he plans on leaving U quite s bit u may end up paying alot of it in tax. He can give u a large one off gift now. Which could help pay a large chunk off ur mortgage in turn reducing monthly payment. Making life generally easier... I think way to much!
Ps. No need to be proud , the money will b you're one day. May as well make life easier now.

I haven't left him yet btw, so that is clouding my judgement as I really don't want to leave him, but seems daft to disturb him considering the time he went to sleep last night!

Oh, in other news I finally ditched the maternity bra yesterday, and put my underwired one back on! This made me feel a lot better than I thought it would! I also slept without a bra on for the first time in a long time last night. The freedom was lovely!

Oh and I should be grateful. Thats the first time he has woke at night without it being for a feed! I think the only other time he woke was when he was wet either through possetting or wee! And that has been very rare.

Counting my chickens here!

So as it is my first time doing the morning school run since Oscar has arrived, and he is now 6 weeks, I am feeling grateful. However, he is sleeping, and won't wake til 930-10 probably. So do I risk leaving him here with DP? Or wake him taking him with me? I'll be gone 830-915-930ish.

Thanks ladies! :) wish me luck! He leaves at lunch time so have to pluck up courage before then!

Crap night here. Oscar fed at 12, settled around 1, was gone 2 before I went to sleep. He woke at 330. I didn't think he was hungry. Anyway he ended up sleeping in my arms. Til 630 when he woke again. So I made DP feed him, knowing I was up at 715. Shouldn't have bothered. He puked up over Dp and himself, so I had to get up anyway then as dp is 'too weak' to get up.

I swear to god if I catch his flu I'll kill the bastard! he better run around doing everything for me!

Just hope Oscar doesn't pick anything up.

I'm so tired :(
