Sorry guys - posted the 1000th message without realising Blush, so hopefully you can all find this thread!

I've just eaten an ENTIRE fruit and nut bar so I cannot comment on eating Blush but second that if you are worried about feeling down, do go and see someone sooner rather than later, even if just to offload it all!

Engelsmeisje · 03/05/2012 16:51

Just back from a lovely day out with DH and M at the zoo. Holidays always go way too quickly, back to work on Monday Sad

to you ed.

strawberrypenguin · 03/05/2012 19:03

eng zoo sounds great did M like the animals?

ed glad DH is behaving himself, make sure you look after yourself too x

Jnice I haven't weighed W for a while either but like you I would gestimate him to be in the 16lb range. He's long but thin, don't know if L is the same?

W has his first cold (I've got it too) DH passed it on! Poor little guy hates having his nose wiped but he's sneezing so much I've no choice.

MrsHende · 03/05/2012 19:06

I was just shouted at by a random man in Asda car park! For not having a hat on L Angry!

I didn't look up and just kept walking. In my defence, she was only outside between the car and the shop - surely not long enough to get sunburnt?!

He did sound really scary though and I was a bit shaken up, don't really expect to get shouted at when you pop out for some milk!

Ed take care of yourself, hope you feel a bit brighter. You were doing so well with WW, you can get back on track! Hope the sunny day has lifted your spirits a bit.

CheshireDing · 03/05/2012 19:51

MrsH is it hot!!?? It's not here :(

Maybe if you were living in Dubai or something I would have shouted at you but seriously some people need to mind their own business. You need to shop in Waitrose instead next time, far classier customer Grin

Jnice no I use a fresh pineapple because I have this amazing device

www.lakeland.co.uk/15871/Pineapple-Slicer-and-Wedger

I LOVE it (very sad I know) but because the pineapple is still in curves it's easy for P to hold and nice and juicy so good for sucking. Are the Canadians like the American's in that they go for convenience tinned stuff instead, or are they healthier?

Engelsmeisje · 03/05/2012 19:51

TBH strawberry M was more interested in his own feet (toes are FASCINATING apparently), but he really liked the aquarium, probably the birght lights. It was heaving when we first got there (half term here) but it thinned out a bit towards the end. Was really nice to get out and about.

MrsH Shock at crazy man!

Jnice · 04/05/2012 03:32

Cheshire - I want one! Canadians are a lot healthier than yanks (at least here) but less so than back in England. The fresh pineapple here is really good but it is a pia to chop up - so I must get a gadget!

I have malfunctioning boobs. Earlier this week a milk blister and blockage on left which cleared after lots of heat packs and massage - now I have it on the right Nd it's agony Sad so fed up right now.

Penelope1980 · 04/05/2012 05:23

I'm just finishing my last proper day as a stay home mum Sad Makes me want no 2 to get back to this life again soon Grin (OK not right away ... )

I remember complaining on these boards when I got sent off work at 36 weeks due to high BP, and moaned that I would get sooo bored. I have even surprised myself how much I have enjoyed being at home these last 8 months though!

ed I hope you feel better ...

OP posts:
Jnice · 04/05/2012 05:28

Oh, sad for you pene. But once back at work you will get into the groove again and enjoy it. What is your ideal age gap for no 2?

FuzzzyDuck · 04/05/2012 08:01

Morning all! Just waiting to get on plane. Been up since 4.30 but managed to get ready and tiptoe round S before getting her up at 5am. She has been so good but is ready to sleep. Spoke to the girls at the desk who were far more helpful than the people on the phone!! There is already another baby on plane who had booked the cot or they would have gave us it. Instead, she has put me and S in the middle and my mum and gran on the sides. She has left the window seat empty so fingers crossed we should get that empty seat too! Said the seat next to me might be free as well GrinGrinGrin

Right, they are calling to board. Prob won't be online much but will catch up when back in a week Smile xxx

Penelope1980 · 04/05/2012 08:24

Jnice maybe 2 years? Not sure yet though - will see how the next few months pan out!

Fuzzy have a good flight!

OP posts:
Engelsmeisje · 04/05/2012 09:00

Have a great trip fuzzzy

CheshireDing · 04/05/2012 20:10

Hope you got there safely and have a great hol Fuzzzy very Envy

Pene gutted for you (sorry don't mean that to sound negative), I give it 2 months before you are telling us you want number 2 Grin. Still waiting for our number 2 to turn up here !

Jnice is a milk blister when you get a white spot on the end of your nip? The whole of one side of my boob was blocked earlier this week and I had a white bit on my nip, really hurt trying to push the blockage along, it took about 24 hours before it felt better.

You need to order the pineapple thing, I bet you can get them on Amazon or Lakeland will post it over. It means I eat more pineapple just because I love using the gadget! I have this too

www.amazon.co.uk/Ashley-Colour-Changing-Perfect-Boiled/dp/B00478GF5A

This is about my cooking limit Grin

CheshireDing · 04/05/2012 20:13

Bit scared to ask this but, those of you with older children did your boobs sort of go back to how they were before?

Am slightly worried about how my DD's can go back to a B and not look like spaniels ears.

Be gentle with the truth.

MamaMaiasaura · 04/05/2012 20:35

cheshire I was 34dd pre ds1, ended f with him. Never went back smaller that e/f and them up to J with ds2 and still a J. I think they'll hang to my knees when I done Grin

Poo news!! The prunes etc have word. First poo for over aunty with no crying! (I am talking about Jessica Wink)

ipswichwitch · 04/05/2012 21:02

mama glad you're getting somewhere (poo news!) we're still struggling unfortunately. not a very happy 7 month b'day for N, he's been really cranky, refusing solids again, even his favourite fruit.
he has managed a poo of sorts, it was v small and hard, accompanied with much straining and crying. have been up and down stairs 3 times already since putting him to bed, just for comfort. have given him some calpol but dreading yet another bad night. dr rang me back and said she spoke to paediatrician, who recommends we wait 3 weeks(!!!!!) and if things dont improve then try lactulose. oh god. i may be dead from lack of sleep by then!!!! he's also started sneezing and has snotty nose :(

stupid thing is i cant stop thinking about starting trying for number 2...... (no i'm not still talking poo here!)

elgoldenflower · 04/05/2012 21:18

For those with pooh problems - 1/7th apple juice in L's water at meal times seems to soften it up for him but he loves to drink water so gets quite a lot (maybe 3/4 oz in a day). Also we had the night time problem, sometimes just with wind, never mind pooh - more when he was very little. He would often drop off if I held his legs up (attempting to pump his knees sleepily) so I've found propping his legs up on a rolled up blanket lets him get an hour's sleep at a time instead of a few mins at a time when his tummy's really bugging him.

Also Cheshire and Mama, I'm a little scared of the post BF boobs, I've gone from 36DD to 36GG, hmmm will just have to love them whatever they look like for the amazing job they've done feeding my boy Smile

We're all about over our tummy bug now but been an ordeal, poor L has lost his podgy belly but is doing really well, back on solids, no throwing up and his pooh's almost back to normal. He turned 6 months yesterday Grin

We also seem to be on the verge of another breakthrough - since having the bug Link's been coming off the boob before he's asleep a lot more as he didn't seem to want to overfill on milk - that lead to me cuddling and humming him to sleep instead. Anyway last 2 nights he's come off the boob at bedtime after having a decent 5/10 mins so I've popped him in his cot and lain on the bed next to him humming to him and he's soothed himself to sleep after 5/10 mins each time. I daren't hope but think this may be the beginning of the magical natural progression to self settling after always feeding to sleep. I've decided we're moving him into his own room tomorrow as he was sound asleep until I went to bed last night and disturbed him.

MamaMaiasaura · 04/05/2012 21:48

Ouch. Latch is bloody hurting Sad think it teeth.

ipswitch I took sennacot which I hope went thru my milk, diluted juice like el suggested, I used warm water from kettle. Prunes and lots of fruit.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 04/05/2012 22:53

After BFing C my boobs went back to their normal cup size maybe slightly smaller but they have never been anywhere near as firm since though sorry.

Penelope1980 · 04/05/2012 23:40

cheshire I was wondering about your no2, remember you mentioning a while ago that you wanted a small age gap ...

Ug, post baby boobs. I just want to get my old work shirts closed.

OP posts:
Jnice · 05/05/2012 00:49

Cheshire yes, that's a milk blister. I have had 24 hrs of hell with my boobs and both blocked up. now the right is clearing but the left is still hard and has a huge blister in the end now in the same place as earlier this week. I read that taking lecithin as a supplement can help so started today.

I will get my mum to bring me the pineapple thing in June Smile

el happy 6 months to L and so glad to hear he is completely better and learning to self soothe!

My boobs are average size (c) and after no 3 look pretty terrible really. I hate not wearing a bra now just because I feel they are so floppy Sad

Jnice · 05/05/2012 03:25

After 2 doses of lecithin (4 doses per day) my boobs are almost unblocked! Still have a milk blister though. Seems like it works Smile

Im taking 1200 mg for times a day with food. Found info on it on the kellymom site.

CheshireDing · 05/05/2012 09:00

Grin at geting your work shirts closed Pene I never thought of that!

Yay for the unblocked boobs Jnice

Just all clear on the poo frotn Mama? I am wondering if the pineapple and prunes is what helped P Ipswich because lots of fruit does have a tendency to "go right through you" so to speak (sorry for tmi). Although she was probably only blocked up for a day or so. It's horrid when they are straining and screaming poor things :(

Happy 6 months L :)

P has just slept since before midnight until after 6am - over 7 hours!!!!!

Maybe I need to start saving for a boob lift

CheshireDing · 05/05/2012 09:01

That was meant to say "still" all clear on the poo front Mama?

ipswichwitch · 05/05/2012 09:23

Talking of work shirts I tried my uniform on the other day, n the top was so tight I could hardly breathe! It also keeps riding up showing off a v unflattering post cs belly. Nice! V
Thanks for all the advice, have been giving N prunes n other fruits but he's not one for drinking much water so been adding some to his food. Was refusing solids yesterday n took us 3 hrs to settle him to bed. Spent most of night screaming so I was raising/cycling legs. Eventually would only settle by comfort feeding, so he was pretty much attached to boob most of the night. Has had his brekky today, waiting for him to have next bf as he always naps after that and I'll get a bit of kip too. Taking senokot first though.
mama hope things are still ok
Also glad your boobs are better jnice!!! I've never had that happen but friend of mine did n she was in agony .sounds horrendous
