Here you go! Sorry for crappy title. My one chance in the limelight and I can't think of anything good and I have to go and collect J from nursery right now...

chul when dh gets back go for a bath, dh used to ask his dad why he spent so long in the toilet and his dad used to tell him he didnt until he had kids then it became the only place he got peace Grin

Excited, the Gruffalo's child comes out on dvd on Monday, I missed it over christmas and we watch the Gruffalo quite a lot!

For tea ive done dauphinoise potatoes/sweet potato and just sorted freezer to see what we have for next weeks meals and found some chicken so done chicken and mushrooms in cream cheese and garlic with spinach thrown in as we have no peas, may be awful but it clears some stuff from fridge Grin I will be happy with the potatoes and salad!

Not long 'til bedtime chul

Sounds nice memph. We're having quorn in a jar of homepride sauce with mash and veg. Although I have to say I'm half minded to change the mash to dauphinoise now you've said that! Mmmmm.

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/02/2012 17:20

D wears joggers alot esp if going to soft play or lazing around the house but he wears a long sleeved top not a full on track suit Chav

We went to soft play today he knackered himself out and fell asleep in the car at 4 grr, had to wake him when I got home otherwise it would be an awful bedtime.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 08/02/2012 17:46

Dauphinoise in the oven Grin

Bloody hell what a cheek! Shock

WhatSheSaid · 08/02/2012 19:15

That's nice of him tsc Hmm

Clothes-wise G is easy as everything she has is A's hand-me-downs. A's stuff comes from charity shops, hand-me-downs and occasionally new stuff when a good sale is on.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 08/02/2012 19:27
Shock

I didn't realise you'd approached the CSA. Wow, that'll be some back payment you're due then!

memphis83 · 08/02/2012 19:45

tsc what a wanker! I bet he is shitting himself, I take it they will arrange a DNA test?

I nearly said 'ooo get yerself on Jezza Kyle' earlier but wasn't sure if you'd find it amusing Grin

Well just think, he chose the difficult route. All this could have been dealt with nicely and quickly be he chose to be an arse about it. So he deserves it

Chulita · 08/02/2012 20:30

tsc what a nerve! I'm sure you're flattered that he remembers you Hmm I so, so hope he falls flat on his face and gets a mammoth bill that'll see your dd through uni and beyond Grin
and by the way, your tea sounds delicious, I love pork but can never cook it so it's not dry. Never done a pork belly before but hoping tomorrow's comes up trumps!

Chulita · 08/02/2012 20:31

needle must be due around about now, might have a nose on fb and see

Next time round I am going to keep the baby in babygrows till at least three months - I cringe slightly when I look back at pictures of J in little (soft) jeans at a week old. It's because I got all these hand me downs and I really wanted him to wear them! I also got a bee in my bonnet about changing his clothes at night to help him learn the difference between day and night, but I really don't think he cared a bit...

DH is cooking tonight - burgers (home made natch) with roasted veg.

PS I can't seem to get into the FB group. I tried earlier but couldn't find it, and then I got a notification tonight that someone had posted but when I clicked I got an error message. Is anyone else having problems?

OP posts:
Chulita · 08/02/2012 20:56

Nope, just you Wink Maybe try logging out and retrying?

I've kept both of mine in babygros for ages, they look more comfy and I find it easier. They'll have to wear clothes for the rest of their lives, why not let them live in pjs for a few months! (and I think tiny babies look silly in clothes tbh)

Dear me, I'm opinionated at the mo...need chocolate

viksam · 08/02/2012 20:56

Well F is swinging away in the corner, I feel half guilty that we leave him to swing and half relieved that hes not screaming. Spoke to the docs today and shes given me infacol and gaviscon so maybe thay will help although we have tried infacol already but willing to give anything a try again. Got my 6 week check on friday where we will review the situation.
D was a nightmare last night, he woke about 6 times, dh delt with them mostly but i went in on the last one and gave him medifen and a cuddle (and a check to see if he was cold/wet etc) i could detact nothing wrong at all and, thank god, he settled after that. F however didnt and i was on the sofe with him from 3.10 till D woke at 6.50. F just wouldnt/couldnt lie flat poor little thing, its such a shame. Hope tonight is better, DH is soooooo grumpy, he really makes me feel like ive done something wrong.
Clothes wise, im not keen on slogan stuff for D but he has got a pair of (look away now cake) george pig slippers, only cos they were half price in mothercare! He had and ace 'doors' tshirt and a cool 'sgt pepper' tshirt, cant wait to get them out for F, also to be reused are his tiny red cons and some dunlop gren flash! D will defo have some trainers for the summer, shelltoes me thinks, I may just have to indulge myself, they are the worlds most comfy shoes ever. I rate boots for kids clothes quality wise i dont rate Asda or mothercare, i will buy from tesco but dont find they wash great. Since i knew about F i have been buying D better quality stuff just cos i know it will get used again! Next selection is crap this season but the basics do wash nicley.
Right im off to bed, hope everyone has a decent night xx

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 08/02/2012 20:59

I got that error message earlier woodlands but it's fine now. Try again maybe?

viksam · 08/02/2012 21:02

ps chu yeah you are!!! haha, did you remember what to put in your hospital bag??

Chulita · 08/02/2012 21:05

Nope, I think I'm just having a major brain fart. If I actually bothered to sit down and write a list I'd realise what I need but haven't got around to it!

viksam · 08/02/2012 21:40

Brain fart! That's class! Well I packed light this time and didn't miss a thing except my phone charger which really pissed me off. Just wash bag and clothes for you and nappies and baby clothes for him. I always have a hair band round my wrist anyway but a head band was useful. I also took my own pillow which was nice. I had rescue remedy spray and arnica tablets and lavender essential oil too. If I think of anything I really couldn't do without I'll let you know.

CakeandRoses · 08/02/2012 22:01

tsc i read your post on your ex literally going Shock and Hmm and Angry. what an almighty fuck-wittagey arse.

ignoring the peppa pig thing vik Grin did you look into the Happiest Baby on The Block book/dvd? it really condones using a swing for first few months for colicky/high-needs babies. think you'd find the suggestions really helpful.

and what's wrong with cords, mlic?
