Here you go! Sorry for crappy title. My one chance in the limelight and I can't think of anything good and I have to go and collect J from nursery right now...

J isn't saying much yet - he doesn't have the 6-20 words he ought to have by now, but I'm not worried as he babbles a lot, points and generally communicates with me very clearly, and understands instructions etc. I thought they were either meant to be late walkers or late walkers - looks like J is both! Ah well, he's learnt to run now (and walk backwards) which is fun.

Emsie, yes, DS had his MMR at 12 months I think. It was fine.

Dentist for J and me tomorrow - am not sure how my check up will go with him rampaging! I wonder if he'll let the dentist check his teeth. It's my first time at a new dentist and I am a bit phobic so am rather scared. He's teething like mad again, those pesky canines this time.

mlisc that sounds exactly like S, the whole "where's my hand gone?" scream when you're still putting the coat on, he very rarely goes in the car seat without me bending him in half, he's always moaning about the sun. I really hope that having a younger brother will stop the behaviour in time, it's like very spoilt brat behaviour but we don't treat him any differently to L Confused

emsie L had hers at 18mths, S at about 16mths. I was stupidly worried about it but know of a couple who lost their child to measles and another whose child is blind because of it so it pushed me to get it done!

woodlands S was fine at the dentist a few months ago, I didn't get checked but they were both very chuffed to show off their teeth!

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/01/2012 06:59

Thanks mlisc I think I'll do it with pork for tomorrows dinner.

We've all got horrible chesty coughs now I think I got it from D. Having a lazy day today, will go into town to get ingredients and take D to the park this afternoon.
Im not liking this 6:15 wake up he's started doing, he won't go back down he wants to actually get up an starts saying hello. Would b v cute at a mre reasonable hour!

wifey6 · 24/01/2012 07:47

Good morning everyone....how are you?
Had a tough night with my snotty toddler...feel bad as its taken 3 weeks to get him settled & stopped co-sleeping...but he was so poorly I let him sleep in with me. Worried its a set-back Sad
But in a way I'm glad I let him as it meant each time he cried out...I could settle him/ wipe nose & rub his back to relieve trapped wind.
Soooo tired. Sad

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 08:05

EmsieRo my two both had theirs at 12 months. Although I don't personally know anyone badly affected by measels I am aware that the diseases you can get from not having vaccinations are far worse than the vacinations themselves. The autism stuff has all been discredited now. What is it you're worried about?

I think all the thread babies have had mmr

Sorry you had a bad night wifey.

I was up 3 times in half and hour with ds2 (11pm to 11,30pm) then ds1 got up at 12.50am saying he didn't want to be in bed Angry He had better start sleeping better when his last molar comes through!

I'm at the dentist with ds1 on Friday. I didn't bother booking for ds2 but shoul probably rearrange for a day when he can come too shouldn't I?

memphis83 · 24/01/2012 09:09

emsie L had his at 12 months, I worried like crazy up to it but now realise it was nothing to worry about.
mlic I really dont know how you do it day in day out :( when do they normally get their full set of teeth by? my friends ds(who is 18 months) has all of his teeth!
vik good to have you back! I have cut down on wheat and dairy and his poo is about normal and 'only' about 4 times a day!

L has been up a lot through the night, his cheeks are crimson and he was warm first thing, Im sure its his teeth, my legs are wobbly today so all we will do today is walk down the village to get some peppers for my chicken curry and have a day in, its miserable so want to be cautious in case he is coming down with something.

Any advice, we have a dvd stand and L takes all the dvd's out all the time, now he has started taking them out if the boxes, I keep telling his a firm no but he is still doing it, other than remove the cabinet from the house any ideas how to stop him? I have over 200 dvd's and its a lot to put back on the shelves!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 09:27

No advice from me - W is also a stubborn mule stubborn and 'no' doesn't work. My biggest annoyance is emptying my kitchen cupboards, it drives me insane. I never had this with ds1. Perseverance is the only option.

They get all their first teeth by the time they're 2 usually, and their last 4 molars by 3 normally. But E is 3.1 and only has 2 and a half of his last molars. So still got a long slog to go with both boys :(

E kicked off maffisly at school this morning.

Blah blah blah

Oh and I went into meltdown was a bit upset at sure start on Friday and long stroy short there may be a chance I can go back to that craft group again that I enjoyed so much. Finger crossed! It's tomorrow if I can go.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 11:31

Nice one tsc!

viksam · 24/01/2012 12:33

tsc 10lbs in two months is excellent, well done, do u feel better for it? doesnt sound like u have had to do much, what have u been doing!
We are going on a health kick from next week, dh is back at work and we can start to settle into a routine, i have sorted some surestart groups to go to for D and his new days at the cm start next week so its going to be all about getting used to being on our own and learning to cope.
mylife hows W today? when do u hear about the craft group, hope you get to go!
F is absolutly lovely but really struggling with wing after his bottle, i have got him on no 2 teats and infacol and there is some improvement, its awfull seeing him in such pain, hes feeding really well dispite it though and we are already making up 5oz bottles, i know most of you bf so it wont mean much. He's still feeding twice a night and because of the wind its taking well over an hour to feed and wind him. I was up with D as well last night, hes was disturbed again and dh also went in twice, cant figure out whats wrong, hes had his fingers in his mouth a lot over the lst few days, he cant be getting his last molars can he!? i cant see in far enough.
The weekend was lovely, loads of family came to mom and dads on sat to see F, D was as good as gold, poor boy had to have his tea in the kitchen full of people and he ate it himself as sweet as a nut, so nice to have loads of lovely comments about my family.
D is at the cm today so gona have a rest and get some jobs done, currently im typing with one hand due to baby on my shoulder, dog on lap and cat snuggled up next to me. Gona be a hard job to extract myself from all the cuddles!!

Chulita · 24/01/2012 13:03

S has been a horror today, non-stop whinging since he woke at 6. (you'll get no sympathy for early wake-ups from me dh Wink ). I nearly exploded in Sainsbury's with the never ending droning on and on from him.
On the plus side L has picked up, the house is vaguely tidy cos I could actually get off the sofa without her sobbing. Done my hips in with the sodding trolley, I know DH will tell me off for doing the shopping but I'd have done myself more damage staying in listening to S.

mlisc I hope that craft group does start up again, I'd love to do something like that!

I don't think cake 's A has had her mmr yet (?)

tsc I love my fitness pal, when I can be arsed, I'll be joining once beanlet's here. I'm also going to join Slimming World cos I've got to get back to something resembling normal rather than hugely mountainous.

viks what teats are you using? I've heard they're all different in terms of wind stuff.

wifey hope it all settles down again, I've never co-slept so the temptation to bring them into our bed isn't there. (tbh the only reason I've not co-slept is because neither of mine would settle beyond about 4 weeks and cos dh is precious about his bed )

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 13:20

Not as precious as me I bet Wink

So, chul. You reckon once no3 is here S will settle down a bit? Hmmmm, now there's food for thought...

Grin
MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 13:23

Oh and the craft group will run, it's already running in fact, but it's a referral programme for nutters like me people who need some input from the community workers at times so I haven't technically been referred to it, as the CW who runs it was/is off sick. I don't think. I might ring now and ask if she's back.

memphis83 · 24/01/2012 13:28

mlic its worth a shot at number 3 just to see weather W cries less?! Grin

Ive just been to the Co-op some daft cow behind the counter told me to sit L down as he had stood up in pushchair while I paid for stuff 'as its going to give me a heart attack', erm how about no! Grin

Well i've just prepped tea for tonight and come back in to find L has gone, I left the stairgate open and he has been upstairs for a while, I dont want to go up there, I dread to think what he has done have left my newly tidied wardrobe door open I best go and survery the damage...

Chulita · 24/01/2012 13:43

I'm grasping at straws mlisc S is so gorgeous I don't want to believe that he's got a grumpy personality! The dynamics will inevitably change once number 3 gets here, crossing my fingers it's for the best...

Confused memphis what an odd thing to say!

My neighbour's invited a few people round for lunch and I really want to go but can't face waking S after the morning we've had. I'm a bit Sad cos I want to meet some more people around here but honestly can't face S just yet. She's got an 8 week old so lunchtime naps aren't as important as they are to us!

viksam · 24/01/2012 13:44

chu in using tommie tippie, if id have known how crap they were id have brought something else but seen as though i have the bottle warmer, steralizer, loads of variflow teats etc etc i cant afford to change now. S sounds trying atm i cant stand the winging it drives me to distraction i can totally understand why you would push a trolly rather than stay in, you must be carefull though, glad L had picked up.
mylife your so nowhere near a nutter!! U nutter!!haha! oh how funny am i, seriously though, omg, look at the lovely food you cook and the work load you have, i think you do brilliantly, if i can do half as well as all you guys with more than one dc i will be happy!

viksam · 24/01/2012 13:46

X posted chu i wouldnt wake him, no way man! Im going to love D's naps, i do already!!

viksam · 24/01/2012 14:25

Quik question, has anyone used or know anyone who has used a cranial osteopath? Went to get F weighed this morning and chatted to the hv about his symptoms and she talked about one, she also mentioned colief, anyone ever used that?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 15:29

I saw a cranial osteopath with ds2 vik. It didn't help us but I would go again under different circumstances. It's worth a try. Never used colief though sorry

Chulita · 24/01/2012 15:54

My neighbour's using Colief (for her baby obviously) and she says it's really good, I used a CO with S and didn't notice any difference but then his was dairy intolerance so it wouldn't have done iyswim.

Anyone else's older child never want anything until the chance has gone?
Me, standing by fridge with door open, grapes in hand: "L, would you like some grapes?"
L: "no"
Me: "are you sure?"
L: "I don't want grapes"
Me: "once I've shut the fridge you can't have any, are you sure you don't want grapes?"
L, getting sulky: "I don't like grapes"
Sit down in living room, put feet up and start mn-ing
L: "I want some grapes, please can I have grapes" in rising crescendo ending in tears.
Same with absolutely everything...tell me it's just her age!

I woke S in the end but by the time we'd got over there they'd all gone. Still wasted a couple of hours though and hopefully S will go out quickly tonight and not prat around keeping L awake.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 24/01/2012 16:07

It's her age. Ewan was given beans on toast at 12noon. At 1pm it was (mainly) still there so i put it in the bin. He then had a tantrum because he wanted his beans on toast back. Grrrrr

Chulita · 24/01/2012 16:25

Phew!

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/01/2012 16:30

mlisc I'm going to sound v thick here but what are Ramiro peppers?
