reastie have a hug from me too you poor girl. I don't know how you've coped for so long. I don't do anything fancy for S's food- this evening she had scrambled egg with cheese then a weetabix with milk and apple juice then yoghurt (she was hungry!). Can you just do something a bit simpler like that for a bit to take the pressure off?

I have the itch to make macaroons now after the Bake Off, they looked gorgeous! I think Holly will win, she is precise which is what is needed IMO.

tad yes I get paid, my parents run a fostering agency and have all sorts of training and meetings which need catering.

wiggs that's cute that A chortles when she sees her sisters. S loves her big sis more than anything in the world, her very best thing is to go on the baby swing we have outside and for Imy to push it, she gets her head and chin banged to bruises but she laughs and laughs, is so cute. :)

thanks deb and ponyo I think she might be nearly asleep [touches wood] but keeps waking up. Wish me good luck to get her in her cot . oh cripes she's woken up again . btw deb I'm wondering if I need to loosen my pfb feeding strictness - I read the labels on all the baby foods and refuse tp buy half of it if it has sugar etc in it Hmm . DH joked I won't let her have chocolate until she's 32 Wink

Oh wiggs that is so sweet about the pics,I think Dilly wouldnt notice anything like that cos she cant keep still long enough. She does love to see Ella out from school tho,and i heard Ella say to her "i just love you so much you are the best little sister ever" bless.
ponyoI am in bed,Dilly hardly had any of her bottle so dh is going to try a dream feed at 11-i cant quite believe my 7month old will be having a dream feed!
reastie how is she now?How odd,at leasy its not the middle of the night,Dilly has done that twice now, just been awake for no reason, has she had anything differnet to eat, maybe she is excited about seein mil on Friday.
choc pass me a flake. Im going to see about some kit days soon.
I buy the puddings in jars and pouches but she just has whatever we are eating, she doesnt like it pureed anyway so i just plonk a pile of whatever on her tray haha.Tonight it was sw soup and some bread and cheese then an ice cream cone and a jar of hip banana custard.

I feel abit funny today.I had some funny blood results and also have to have my smear re done soon which im dreading,in the meantime i feel tired all the time and so lethargic but i think we all are arent we?Also since i was pg i have felt hot all the time, even walking Ella to school i sweat loads, and at home if i rush about or drink a hot drink, its not the menopause as i had some tests and my periods are still regular,i just dont feel right iyswim. Will get a gp app tomorrow.
Sorry to moan.

reastie really hope Alice settles, I think she just loves you so much she just wants to be with you all the time Wink

american he usually just wakes for proper feeds which is fine by me, but when he's been poorly he ends up sleeping on top of me for a few nights which then progresses to next to me, then in his cot but up every hour etc. until after a few weeks we get back to just feeds. It's a pain, and I dread him getting ill, for completely selfish reasons.

ponyo haven't seen bake off tonight, I like them though, it's like a nice friendly version of masterchef without the mean people and the sweating.

led I had a look at netmums for the first time. Brilliant! Wish I'd found that site first, Hugz. xx

debka I wish you were my wife, I just want someone to bake for me is that too much to ask?

N up already, gotta go...

ledkr I lol so much at the mil comment. You're right, that must be it Wink . She has finally managed to contain her excitement for friday though and gone to sleep, and is finally in her cot .

ledkr keep us updated. It's not a side effect of the prozac, the funniness and tiredness recently?

Yawn, I'm off to bed. night night all.

I hope you are ok ledkr

reastie and borg I hope the babies slept all night long!

wiggles regarding work, glad it is working to your advantage.

Another boring old day for me again, Df is working in Sheffield again until saturday. Horrid weather, once the kids are in school im going to curl up on the couch with a good book and coffee.Grin

morning all. I swear I couldn't make this up - I'm just getting ready to meet needto and the zip on my dress has broken - and I'm stuck in the dress Confused . I've just been trying for half an hour to free myself from it Shock . I've got a vest top on under (thank goodness) so no actual flesh on show. Have done what I can with an obvious safety pin but things are not looking good. She's going to think I'm a nutter isn't she Hmm . needto if you read this I don't usually turn up to meet someone with a dress with a completely unfastened zip with a safety pin in the middle Blush . Oh the shame. I guess I should be grateful I'm not stuck in trousers. That would make loo trips interesting Wink

Haha-reastie at least you wont have the problem of choosong clothes from now on Grin bit jel of the meet up tbh.Have fun.

wiggs do you sweat when you walk or do something? Also when i have a hot drink.
ponyo Dh did the dream feed and she took 90mls but then woke up 20 mins later and had more but then did go thru thil 7.Not sure whether to try it agin tonight.

Well i decided to take control today.I had an early night and slept well,i showered and dressed before i woke Ella and put on some make up whilst they had breakfast,i walked to school in a thin cotton t shirt to avoid hotness and came in and cleared up whist D played. She then had abottle and i PUT HER TO SLEEP IN HER COT its bliss cos i can make noise down here without waking her up.She doesnt sleep that long in the mornings so it will be interesting to see if she manages longer.
Off to browse the charity shops today with my friend,i love it.

ledkr yup, when I'm out and about, up and down the stairs and if I have something hot, its not just general unfitness either, it doesn't happen when I'm at work Hmm Well done on the cot Grin

I am very jealous of meet up too!!! I have a hairdressers appt this afternoon, need to get roots done, have school runs now to think about, the badger look isn't going to cut it Grin

Hahaha Reastie! Make sure you tell us all about your meet up.
Ledkr, since having Noah I am definitely affected more with being hot, especially after showering and whenever I walk then stop! I can feel myself sweating, and getting red,it's awful!
Do any of the foodies watch Masterchef Australia? I'm loving it, shame I can't cook or toffee though! I desperately need some lessons!

Bugger, better go Noahs moaning in cot. It's a snotfest here, Ben has the cold too one!

I also got some nice joules wellies brand new 20 quid,i may join net mums now.

It's funny you mention sweating ledkr et al as I've had alot of that problem (a bit like the inbuilt heating system is still up and running). I put it down to being fat the extra padding I now carry around with me - the fact that a number of you also have it though makes me think it could be something hormonal too??

ledkr great charity buys. I can't be bothered to go to charity shops get most of my second hand baby bits from ebay but keep thinking I should have a nose in charity shops for some plastic tat useful amusing toys

I can confirm reastie/needto meet up a success (well, IMO anyway, she might beg to differ Hmm ). Ben and needto are lovely and we have a great day out Grin . The dress is still on btw - I'm liking ledkrs idea of not now needing to worry about what outfit to wear in the morning but at the same time thinking this prob isn't the best idea considering previously mentioned hot/sweaty comment Confused Wink

NeedToSleepZZZ · 07/09/2011 18:55

Grin at reastie having to wear her dress indefinitely. Really enjoyed today and can tell everyone just how gorgeous baby Alice is and so well behaved unlike Ben

Not sure about the sweating thing, I had it loads at first but not since, it's probably to do with hormones still settling down?

Well done ledkr with the cot, and your charity shop finds, I love charity shops and having a rummage at jumble sales.

ponyo I'm with you with all the pureeing, b ate all alice's left overs today and wouldn't touch his pea and cauliflower mush.

wiggles hope the hairdresser went well, I very much doubt you could look like a badger though.

Right, off to shred, is it strange that I'm actually enjoying it now?

Yy to sweating. Bleurgh.

Envy at meeting up. Glad you had a lovely time! I met a Mner in Santa Barbara this year. Grin That was fun!

Both boys have temps again today and sleep is a thing of distant memory. Looking forward to dh being back from Arizona soon..... One day to go till Anna starts school.

Second-hand baby shops are all the rage here ledkr. You can get some bargains on some really expensive stuff and even sell stuff on. Not that many charity shops in comparison to home though.

Sending good bedtime vibes...... Wink

Glad you had a good meet up, Need to and Reastie, am slightly jealous though!

Ledkr, wish I had the patience to rummage. My sis always gets good stuff in sales and charity shops but I'm just too lazy. Have a stall at a baby sale with a friend this weekend. Ive got loads to sale and am hoping for lots of good rummegers to buy it all.

Tad, sorry the boys are poorly, it's miserable isnt it?

I need your opinion ladies. Our bottle steriliser has broken. I'm not sure whether to get a new one. Have washed the bottles and plan on leaving them in hot water tomorrow with a sterilising tablet for half hour. I make two bottles in advance at a time, do you think it's safe?

I've stopped sterilising the bottles I use for EBM. I have to make sure the bottles are really clean when I take them out of the dishwasher though as sometimes there is a bit of a residue. Hmm

emski sorry no idea re bottles, N has never had one.
tad hope the boys feel better soon
needto and reastie oh how nice you met up, I'm imagining you calling each other needto and reastie in real life. Grin at reastie's predicament.
ledkr I'm not vastly sweaty since preg but am randomly hairy now, would it be worth getting your thyroid checked? Pregnancy can trigger thyroid probs apparently.

Nate has had his first booze, forgot had put wine in my pasta bake, he loved it though, I think I might progress to whiskey and rum and see how he goes.

Can I ask a routine question, and if anyone has time/is bored would you mind posting your routines - just as I can't seem to co-ordinate feeds/naps and food, and I can't seem to get him at the point where he is peckish (but not ravenous for a breast feed) and not too tired (i.e. rubbing his eyes and therefore all his food into his eyes), just wondered what everyone else did and might copy!

Report
NeedToSleepZZZ · 07/09/2011 19:43

tad so sorry about poorly babies and no sleep, it makes everything worse. When is DH back? Feel free to moan away on here in the meantime, oh and have a Wine and see if things improve!

Shred done and now all sweaty, yuk. How are you getting on wiggles?
