Thanks folks I need to remember that I did manage a decent interview at least, chin up indeed! Luckily I havn't told many people I had the interview (I never do, worry I'll jinx it Hmm Grin) so at least I don't have to tell loads of people I wasn't successful haha.

wiggles please note on your spreadsheets I am away the next couple of weekends Grin

Needto I'd feel like crying too, maybe a good blub might help :) I think its the helplessness you feel, and they're so small and vulnerable. I could cry sometimes when dd bumps her head and cries so don't blame you.

ledkr poor D, hope she's better soon.

emski what book have you won?! Grin

Right got the last episode of the danish Killing to watch and I'm determined to watch it now, ooh exciting!

ILovePonyo · 04/10/2011 20:53

reastie I am a firm believer of 'everything happens for a reason' :)

Hope the crying stops soon and little miss Alice settles herself for the night. Again, well done you for persevering, lots of respect!

Emski76 · 04/10/2011 21:04

Reastie, hope Alice settles soon.

Ponyo, the book is the sadness of lemon cake, can't remember who it's by, Aimee something?? It's about a woman who can get people's feelings by eating food they've made. Sounds strange but I think I'm going to love it. The author is coming on for a web chat in November so will attempt to read it before then!

wigglesrock · 04/10/2011 21:06

Uh oh Anna has learnt to sit up in her cot and cry with her arms out, think any resolve I might have had to tell her to go back to sleep or else has finally crumbled Grin

40Weeks · 04/10/2011 21:14

Ah girls I think we need a group hug

Jane you have been so strong, I hope you get thru Thurs ok and that df knows how you feel. It's a big hurdle for you and we are all here to help in any way we can

ponyo so sorry about the job, how dare they think someone else is better? Hope you're ok

needto how scary for you, I have never heard of that before - how awful, glad he is ok now,

Poor dilly with the thrush

here girls have these Biscuit Wine Thanks

Watching great British bake off - not my best idea as on a diet and it's making my tummy growl

40Weeks · 04/10/2011 21:17

Ooh weird my phone has only just refreshed so didn't see all the other posts - sorry

janedoe25 · 04/10/2011 21:19

Ah ponyo thats shit about the job, but whats for you won't go past you.

ledkr Poor Dilly, hope her mouth gets better soon.

emski hope Noah is ok?

reastie hope Alice settles soon.

wiggles Dont you just love it when they play on your heart strings Grin.

needto hope you are ok, if it makes you feel better have a good cry!

I have just spent the last 2 hours sobbing on my friends shoulder and you know what, I feel ok now. Fingers crossed I manage a sleep tonight.
I don't have to go the funeral but I will. I want to be there to supprt df and mil. I will be ok, I think the thought of it is worse than the actual event iyswim. Right I'm off to bed now hopefully to sleep! Night all Smile

ledkr · 04/10/2011 21:22

em i liked the look of that book, let me know how it is?Im still reading world war z i hardly get anytime to read these days,i used to read abook in 2 days.I love Nicci French have all her books and a new one waiting.
needto if he didnt have a temp im sure he is fine, poor you that is very scary,Have you thought about staeting athread in health as others may have experienced it?
ponyo its horrible when you really want a job and dont get it,If it helps i really wanted my job and i flippin hate it Grin
reastie Its Nystatin, the bog standard thrush treatment,it smells of aniseed and is very thick,im meant to give it after a feed but she cried at the taste so much i had to give her a drink so it probably wont work.I put a bit of canesten on her lulu.
Good luck with the cc tonight,me and dh use shush pat if she wakes in the night and she seems to go off easier now as soon as we dh do it,i think it has helped us to get her sleeping slightly better (runs around touching wood) Did you look up cc on the net,i dont want to play devils advocate here but i did read a few times that it doesnt suit every baby,i didnt want to tell you that before but im convinced it didnt suit D as she didnt stop crying for hrs if at all. That said she has never woken all night or not settled after some time so in your position i would defo persevere.Alice is getting better too which Dilly didnt and seemed terrified.
I have discovered a baby food she will eat at last. Its the cow and gate flat pots for 10 months plus. Its usefull as i cant spend my entire life making cauli cheese Grin

ledkr · 04/10/2011 21:27

wiggles how do you think she learned that Grin
Dilly does the arms out thing to all of us i think she's playing us all off against eachother tbh. Dh took her up to her cot earlier when she fell asleep on him,2 minutes later he just came back down with her awake and smiling.Im giving up naps in the cot now,i just cant be arsed, she sleeps on me or the sofa or pram.tsk tsk.
I also have agame with her where i make a single coughing noise and she copies me,if we keep going she ends up laughing so hard she falls over.

wigglesrock · 04/10/2011 21:32

ledkr Grin I did cot napping for about a week, before knocking it on the head. A naps in the car, and if she stays asleep, I bring the laptop a book out and sit with her or on the sofa which she loves Shock Think she is getting a few more teeth, she wouldn't let me near her mouth today which is always a sure fire sign and she didn't want to eat anything which is most unlike her Grin

Grannyapple · 04/10/2011 21:40

Hello ladies...finally caught up I think! Had a lovely w/e at a friend's wedding in the Scottish borders (was lovely ..they hired out a country house so was a chilled relax affair!). 1st night away from Nate....& was actually really nice (didn't sleep too well tho...drink & not in own bed...typical!). Sis came down to look after wee one & did a grand job ( tho i had to write everything down!). But was nice to feel like 'us' again.

Question-anyone still having horrid night sweats?! I know it's been hot but this was something else...was soaking & i slept naked but still feckin too hot!

reastie, wiggles & ledkr crackin pics!

Jane hope U get thru Thursday ok...have u spoken with df? Just thinking he might be feeling the same??

Can't remember who has been to nursey re: booking settling in sessions? I've got Nate's booked for the last 2weeks in October (4 weeks til I'm back to work...eek!)...be interested to hear how those have gone for others??

Right, off to bed...got spin tomorrow so a bit of running around tomorrow to get out the door in the morning!

Grannyapple · 04/10/2011 21:46

Ooh, forgot to say, N has 6bloody teeth! I thought he had a cold the other weekend but got a fright when he bit on my finger & there were a few extra ones in there last week! Worried there's more coming thru now...he's been upping his poos today!

reastie · 04/10/2011 21:51

ledkr FYI it was nystatin that my GP prescribed that didn't work - daktarin all the way see this info leaflet . Btw I know cc doesn't work for everyone which is what made me Hmm about doing it in the first place. We've decided to give it a week though and if it hasn't helped at all at the end of the week we'll try something else like drugging her .

wiggles what a clever girl. Maybe it's her amazingly long legs that help hoist her into sitting Wink

reastie · 04/10/2011 21:53

granny x posted - was it needto who was having the night sweats? I know someone was. 6 teeth Shock - clever big boy nate Grin

debka · 04/10/2011 22:00

debka · 05/10/2011 06:51

S started stirring at 5.40 this morning. It was still bloody dark when I got up with her at 6.15. Do you think if I try and get her to bed a bit later she'll wake later?

Morning all BTW!!

jane you're probably right, get tomorrow over you and see how the sleeping goes xx

40 poor you, hope you have a better day

skinnymalinkdebka enjoy the car, I tried with mine to put them to bed later in order to sleep later. Sofia although a fab sleeper was a very very early riser, it never worked Grin but now I have my revenge waking her for school!!

Four4me Happy Birthday Grin, hope you have a lovely day.

ledkr · 05/10/2011 08:33

Morning all.
reastie im sure the nystatyn wont work as she fucking hates it and cries when i give it to her grrrrr,im going to by some activia yogurt today for her,see if that helps.
Sorry if i sounded a bit annoying re the cc but i was very shocked when i read that and then felt alot better for not doing it as i did feel it wasnt working as it should do.How did it go last night btw?
jane Remember that this funeral is for a very old and tired lady not a baby like Zoe,get in sing the hymns and get the f outtta there,i know i sound harsh but sometimes you have to take care of yourself.
*grannyY I am a big sweaty mess most of the time.I thought it maybe the meno but alas the dr said no,i am fed up with it,i get it when i walk, get stressed and eat or drink,it makes me feel all eggy and i have to get everyone away from me and sit by the fan which is now apermanent fixture in my lounge.
debwhat car are you getting?Im desperate to trade our sensible family golf in for a nice soft top gti but dh is like this Hmm
Well done on the loss, that is excellent.I have strayed off the path of late but maintained what i lost which is nice, still a sixteen tho so need to get back into it,what do you eat in a typical day?Maybe that will inspire me.I am still having my one slice of toast with an egg and smoked salmon then pasta nd sauce for lunch and normal ee dinner.Last week tho i allowed a few sneaky snacks which i need to stop.
Dilly is still waking by 6 most mornings but is sleeping right thru from 7 so i cant complain, she does go a bit longer if i put her down later but seems to have amore disturbed night.I have a cuppa in bed and she ransacks my bedroom, today she de feathered a fascinator i keep for the races.
She cried in her sleep quite a few times last night but settled back off-this seems to be happening since we did shush pat for night wakings which is a result. I think the wind was waking her as was tres noisy.
wiggs Im not going to push cot naps anymore,i like an easy life and like you am in and out all day.My kids usually give up their naps really early anyway as they are so nosey. Grin

Emski76 · 05/10/2011 08:35

Jane, I second what Wiggles said, get tomorrow done and you'll feel alot better. I'm glad your friend was able to be there for you last night.

Ledkr, when I'm finished with the book I'll post it onto you if you like

Granny, 6 teeth???! Wow

Reastie, all ok?

Deb, well done on the weight lose, am tempted to try SW myself now! Which diet are you doing?

Noah was stirring at 5.30 this morning and chatting to himself but went back to sleep til 6.45 so quite pleased. He seems ok after his puking incident last night night. Am taking him swimming in a while, hopefully wear him out for a long nap.

Granny, Noahs got his intro sessions at nursery next week. I'm back at work on 31st Oct but Noah is starting the week before as dh has the week off. We can spend some quality time together and get into new routine with Noah. I actually feel heart broken at the thought of not being with Noah everyday, but I know he will be fine, it's me that I'm worried about!

reastie · 05/10/2011 09:02

deb well done you - excellent work. Now tell me, are you still hungry alot or has your body adjusted? I need some inspiration and second if you could tell us what you eat in a day (believe me, it won't be as much as me Blush ). I've just weighed myself on my home scales as I'm not going to fat fighters this week (my mum is a soft touch and just can't do cc with alice for her nap and I don't want to confuse alice so not going. Plus the fact I have bad cramps today and have run out of nurofen having bought 3 packs less than 2 weeks ago ) and according to my scales I'm 11 kg lighter - which obv can't be right, one of our scales must be way out Hmm . I've taken to weigh myself in kgs now as that's what fat figthers do and I have no idea what it means which is good Grin . Btw what car have you got?

jane I'm sure you'll be better once it's out the way tomorrow (that sounds harsh getting it out of the way but hopefully you know what I mean). The lack of sleep is prob making you feel pretty pants too

choc shame your not an official choc taster Hmm Sad

well, a sleep update - she woke up about 4 times in the night but every time settled in about 20 mins, it was just the early evening that lasted a few hours that was the worst. Infact, I think I may have only woke properly once in the night between 10:30 - 6 myself so I did pretty well too Grin
