janedoe25 · 03/10/2011 13:36

reastie Yeah i have psoriasis, it flairs up every so often. I will get a steroid from the Dr and im going to holland and barrat tomorrow for aloe vera (thanks ledkr). How ironic that it has broken out on my ring finger, it from my knuckle to the bottom of my finger Hmm.

Fab pics ledkr Dilly and Ella are gorgeous and there is nothing wrong with gingers!

ledkr · 03/10/2011 14:22

delias I know its hilarious, she looks like agiant baby out of a b horror movie. We put her in one of those cars that you put 50p in on the pier and she loved it,kept chuckling it was lush, she also watched a sooty show and was motionless the whole time.
I wouldnt be surprised if C was glad to be home.I remember my friends toddler running around kissing the walls and furniture when he got home from his holidays.
Dilly just did the biggest fart ive ever heard in my life Shock

jane body shop do a clear gel,or they used to. and theres nothing wrong with ginger for sure but we like to sat jenje actually Grin
tis weird re the ring finger yes.

40Weeks · 03/10/2011 15:13

Welcome back ladies, glad you had a good time and the babies were good/had fun. Great pics ledkr Ella looks like you from what I can tell!

Delia that made me laugh about giant baby/pier

Jane I think you need to treat yourself to a massage or reflexology or something to help you relax and thus cure the skin - you well deserve it my love

Hope the cc is working then reastie sounds hopeful

Well I am off for school run in a sec, Mikey is either starving this week or refusing stuff. Am gradually weaning off bfing - he is a fussy bugger! Just puked on the rug. oh good

ledkr · 03/10/2011 16:30

Awww-me and 4forme got flowers.
40 Ella is like me only younger and thinner
tis so hot here i cant keep fresh, its vile, too showers a day and a ton of sure.
Ella has gone out with her sperm donor d is sleeping so im having a sit down whilst fighting thoughts of needing to get washing in,make packed lunch and put clothes away in dillys room.the washing seems endless here since d.
i had to put her in the sink this am she was covered in weetabix which i was just about to wet wipe and i noticed she had poohed all up her back, she scrubbed up ok with a bit of fairy and a brillo pad Grin

40Weeks · 03/10/2011 19:25

Ah the poo up the back, Mikey has yet to deliver that special treat. Dh is putting him to bed - he won't finish his milk even though he is a greedy guts and moans all day of he doesn't get enough. I give up! Thomas is in bed singing dingle dangle scarecrow at the top of his lungs and Owen is telling him off. Give me strength I might just go to bed now

NeedToSleepZZZ · 03/10/2011 19:34

Hello all and welcome home ledkr and delia Grin

Jane can't believe you hen night is this weekend! I'm going to have a bop around the living room whilst watching xf to celebrate with you in spirit! Grin

reastie how is your nan? So sorry you're going through all this just hope she's getting the right pain control. Fingers crossed for cc, you really deserve to sleep!

ledkr love the story of the hotel, do you think your ILs paid wiggles to follow you on holiday? Wink
choc hooray for more teeth! Are you brushing them? My problem is that I brush ben's after his bath but then he has his last feed so not sure it's worth it Confused

Well, I noticed the monkey suit has been thrown on top of the wardrobe so feeling optimistic... OH and I swapped roles today as I went to work and he stayed at home, it was quite an eye opener for him and he declared I have the harder job by far, at last recognition! Smile Thing is, I still did breakfast and put b down for his nap before work so all he had to do was dress and play with him as I finished at lunchtime. The house was a tip when I got home. We had another bad night of sleep last night and I'm praying for a good one tonight, do you ever find that after being woken up about 8 times your brain just won't let you go back to sleep? So frustrating Angry

Had a panic attack before work this morning which was horrible, I feel so anxious about being without b sometimes as I feel I don't have anything interesting to say as I don't have a life to people. Was okay when I got there though and it was slightly satisfying to see just how much they needed me [nasty needto].

Right off to catch up on xf

chocoroo · 03/10/2011 19:54

Evening,

Just popping on while my chilli jam thickens up - I'm making it for Christmas pressies.

needto I bought Romilly a little toothbrush earlier and DP just brushed all her gums and her teeny teeth with it. Didn't bother with toothpaste though. She just tried to chew the brush tbh!

40 I too am considering bed shortly and there's no Dingle Dangle scarecrow in my house! DP is about to leave for London as he has a meeting there tomorrow so I'm home alone. Might take the iPad to bed....oh the glamour!

ledkr Dilly is so cute! She actually looks a lot like R, especially the hair. I'll try and put some new pics up soon. I often think of using a Brillo pad on R after her Weetabix. Gave her a Dairylea triangle earlier and it was everywhere.

Jane Not sure if it's the same but when I had excema flare ups when younger I used to take Evening primrose capsules. I think it was hormonal?

D It must have been so cute to see C so happy with her cot! Welcome home!

I hope Reastie is ok.

Better go and check the jam and pay DP some attention before her leaves. Going to go to HV tomorrow so I think R is bursting out of her car seat so want to guess how long she has left in it.

reastie · 03/10/2011 20:11

domestic godess choc chilli jam sounds lovely

ledkr and delia forgot to say but I thought the same thing re: Dilly being a giant in proportion to the background Grin

40 hope you are nicely tucked up sleeping but somehow doubt it

needto I'm so glad your dh understands how hard it is but Sad to panic attack. I too feel I am a boring mum with no idea what else to talk about except baby stuff Blush

Well, CC night 2 not great yet - she took half an hour of screaming before she fell asleep but is awake again already now and has been crying for 3/4 hr Sad . Hoping this doesn't go on much longer.

reastie · 03/10/2011 20:16

choc I keep forgetting to ask you what you do at cadburys choc taster perhaps . You don't have to answer, I'm just nosey as I was going to be a food technologist before I decided to teach food tech

oh, and while I'm on the subject of being nosey, jane do you have a gift list for your wedding? Before I got married I was against them in principle but then we really didn't want people spending their money on stuff we didn't really want as it seemed such a waste so we relented and put something about not wanting/needing anything but if people were unsure what to get JL vouchers were good. In the end everyone gave us cash or JL vouchers Grin except my uncle who likes to make a stand against these things and bought us a framed print of a grannyish flower bouquet. It was probably expensive but it's really not our taste so is collecting dust in the loft.

reastie · 03/10/2011 20:19

oh a status update from my fb friend who has the genius baby the same age as alice - apparently now said genius baby can walk holding on to just one hand for support Hmm . One of these days she'll do a status and Alice would hve done it first and I can feel all smug for a change Blush

Can you tell I'm bored and trying to block out the screams? Confused

debka · 03/10/2011 20:38

reastie all power to you for sticking with it, you sound very calm. She'll get it, don't worry, may be another day or so. I would advise you to go in and reposition her but if I were doing it I would just leave her Blush

40weeks I understand your pain, we had one of those evenings too. I was bringing in the washing in the dark at 8pm. Hope all boys fast asleep now. Are you weaning M onto the bottle?

ledkr Dilly is cute and OMG Ella looks just like you!

Ooo ooo watching the Amanda Knox verdict, they just brought her in- do you think she did it?

Four4me · 03/10/2011 21:10

Hello ladies, so sorry I've been a stranger. No excuse really but came back from legoland at the end of the holidays and was soooooo far behind the thread I (whispers) gave up! (hangs head)

But wanted to say all the best for the lovely Dilly on Wednesday. Remembered as it is my b'day. Will be thinking of you ledkr .
I often think of you all, Jane esp you, I hope you are ok?

Think I need a weekly summery, i am brain dead by the time I sit down to mn on an evening. Thomas is doing well in year 3, has some problems with one of his ears but nothing really, Joseph is lovely as ever and (proud mummy) has been voted by his class mates to be on the school council! Imogen was 2 last week, she is a proper diva dolly. Archie is still very chilled and finally sitting unsupported, he even likes a little dance (bobs up and down) when the mood takes him!

Xxxxxxxxxxx to all. X Esp Dilly

reastie · 03/10/2011 21:12

deb she is a lovely baby - there is no such thing as an ugly baby remember Wink . Alice has only just settled Shock . Not sure how long that was but it was a long time. Please let her get the hang of this soon as to cheer me up I bought 2 outfits online from boden Blush . This is my first dip into the delights of boden having been sent a money off voucher and I can't miss a bargain and I'm feeling more like a true mner already Grin . Hope Alice starts sleeping soon though as more days of being distracted like this could be expensive business Wink

debka · 03/10/2011 21:13

Hi 44me, glad all well in your house :)

Think Dilly's op has been delayed till November...?? should have read all the thread Grin

OP posts:
reastie · 03/10/2011 21:14

Oh, I should make it clear the outfits were for Alice and not me Grin

xposted 44me glad all the crew are well. Was the legoland trip a success? I can recommend borg for thread updates Wink

chocoroo · 03/10/2011 21:26

Not a chocolate taster (although people do do that on the side - they get paid in chocolate!) reastie. I'm afraid reality is rather dull, I work in IT doing lots of internal communication and sometimes event management. I started as a PA but (fingers crossed) I'm ditching that when I go back.

Chilli jam has only just finished. It's not as Jammu as I'd like but I'm hoping it firms up in the jars. Nice and tasty though. Is anyone else getting crafty for Christmas? I've never tried it before but I'm hoping to save money although spending £12 on jam jars probably wont save much money

wigglesrock · 03/10/2011 21:27

Four4Me lovely to hear from you, glad boys are doing so well in school, don't be a stranger Grin

reastie I don't know I've seen a few Gollum babies in my time Grin Boden Smoden pah Grin Really hope A settles well for you tonight, [swift hand hold]

chocoroo I changed As carseat this week.

ledkr gorgeous photos

Have been running around like a blue arsed fly all day, my sister had to have a rescan today as baby was being v uncoperative at 20 week scan a few weeks ago - all good, she's getting very excited Grin. My parents came back from their holiday, had bought presents for girls before they went so much excitement here!!

Was at Sofias school tonight for a curriculum meeting, thank God there wasn't parent participation - was in a cold sweat after my laughable attempts at doing her picking a verb out of a sentence homework last week Blush

Four4me · 03/10/2011 21:29

Whoops about the op date! I'll never remember now, was actually quite proud of my wiggles -like skills. Maybe I should just admit defeat and remain completely useless on this thread.

40Weeks · 03/10/2011 21:31

Welcome back 44me we missed you - how cute that Archie dances

reastie the Boden purchases are a must, for your sanity at this difficult time. How was your granny today?

deb Mikey is fine with the bottle as he had ebm from a young age every now and then and seems happy enough with the formula. It's still half and half though, don't want to give up completely but also feel ready to let go of the reins a little bit and it's nice letting dh put him to bed, but he wasn't bfing well, too distracted and faffing around and thus grumpy as hungry!

40Weeks · 03/10/2011 21:33

Ooh and deb what did you have for dinner? I had chicken stir fry and some choc fingers (1.5 syns, bargain!!!)

ledkr · 03/10/2011 22:10

Thanks 4four for remembering, its now 14th Nov bloody nhs! Am dreading it but looking forward to her feeling more comfy bless her,i see it affect her in a few ways and she sometimes pokes her fingers down and gaggs which i wondered if is cos it feels funny.
reastie hope it goes ok tonight,i revisited it briefly tonight when she didnt flake out on the bottle,i just plonked her in her cot but shewouldnt settle and was working up into a state and sounded so sad i got her back up but she had some more milk and was asleep in seconds. She will either go all night but only till 5.30 ish or wake at 3 and eventually go back to sleep so not as bad as Alice or i wouldnt hesitate to use it.
Dilly was quite whingy today too and dint eat much so im sure she will make her presence felt before dawn.

tadjennyp · 03/10/2011 22:47

Hello, haven't posted for a while, just lurked, as it takes me all day to read what you have been posting all day!

Glad everyone has had lovely breaks and the weather for it. Loving all the new photos. Hope CC goes well this evening reastie. Your hen night sounds v exciting Jane.

All the babies are getting very active now, aren't they? S hasn't been sleeping too well but he's now got 5 teeth, so I guess that's why. Dd's behaviour has been atrocious lately. Starting school, overtired, not sure why really, but it's very tiring.

How's it going weaning off the breast, 40? I was hoping to go to 9 months, so only a month to go. Shock

Hope everyone has good nights.

wigglesrock · 03/10/2011 22:56

tadjennyp Hiya, Olivias behaviour the first few weeks of nursery was appalling - a real step backwards. She was only in a few hours in the morning at the beginning and at around 4pmish there was tears, throwing things Shock, stomping of feet and wailing incoherently because she had been told dinner was ready - I know my cooking isn't up to my much but ffs Grin

It has calmed down now, although today was her first day with the longer hours and she had a hot lunch at school but that seemed to make her ravenous! I had only given her a little dinner here but she then demanded asked for the same as Sofia, which she got, then sandwiches, cereal and bananas. She's not that big an eater usually.
