Totally's original thread was for TTC after MC. It continued long after Totally herself graduated, and is still going strong. Totally's grads was set up as a thread for pregnancy post MC - i.e. anyone who graduated from Totally's thread and anyone else who had experienced MC and was now pregnant. It, too, is still going strong.

Now, more and more of us have graduated from Totally's grads - including LouiseSH, whose Georgie was born asleep. I suppose that makes us postgrads. We have travelled together for a long time and would like to stay in touch, but the pregnancy post MC thread is starting to get very big, and I think it should be allowed to keep its focus on pregnancy post MC. May it be as wonderful a place for support for current "members" as it was for us.

So this thread is a place for us to keep in touch, share experiences, and provide support.

Stay strong apple, that baby will arrive when it's good and ready. Your body does know what it's doing. I found natal hypnotherapy very useful to convince myself I could do it.

We appear to have hit another growth spurt here. I am bored of growth spurts. I want to be able to say "well she doesn't nap easily, but she sleeps well at night" again. It's been weeks of blocked noses, growth spurts, random waking. I am at the very end of my tether. And about to banish DH from the bedroom due to his snoring.

AlbaDeTamble · 06/06/2011 15:58

I also worried right up till labour started, curiously at that point I didn't worry at all, despite the midwife leaving us and baby arriving an hour later with no midwife present, probably because I had a fantastic doula (she's still on mat leave, but anyone SE area planning another, get in touch with Lia!) but also I'm sure helped by natal hypnotherapy. Great for pregnancy stress reduction, fab for pain free labour.

Hello all,

I've been not even lurking I'm afraid. Had a lovely half term with DH, made elderflower cordial (delish), went back off the dairy and enjoyed J being a happy and smiley baby.

Dorcas I could have written your post myself. I was up 6 times last night and it wasn't a particularly difficult night. I only ever tell people 4 wake ups, and even then my NCT group look utterly astonished, and it makes me feel bad. Well today I met a lady who admitted her first baby was up every 45 minutes and that made me feel better. I'm co-sleeping again to get more sleep.

I've enjoyed reading the updates but all other namechecks have gone out of my head

Won't leave it so long next time... xx

Hiya lovelies x

Quick one from me as I realised to my eternal shame that I'd not posted on here for ages and had even missed the move to a new thread!

All well here - my good news is that P was discharged from hospital outpatient care today as they're pleased with how mch weight she's put on in the last fortnight. Although she's still only on the 9th centile, she's showing a consistent pattern of gain and is following the curve nicely - it just looks like she's destined to be petite, the lucky thing!

She's six weeks old tomorrow. How did that happen?! :)

I shan't namecheck as am on my iPhone and it would take all day, but much love to you all :) xxx

Good luck loopy! you are more of a pro than me... but I've found I can't do bathtime every night for all of them, so we are just slightly dirtier in the CA household!

viv great news that P is putting on weight now - happy 6 weeks birthday... hope you're getting lots of lovely smiles and a gentle growth spurt!

we are fine, T is still a bit of a sick monster, but it's definitely getting better, and he does't cry after being sick anymore, so think the reflux is settling down now he's 4 months - phew

A bashful hello for my shameless thread neglect! Hoping everyone is well. Am finally recoved from gastrovombumyuck sickness followed by bout of flu combined with major sleep regression boo hoo. On the plus side, am enviably skinny Grin.

Little (or not so) R is doing brilliantly, now rolling all over the place and sitting unaided - until he gets distracted in which case he nosedives in which ever direction he's looking.

Have been offering him a bit of mashed banana which he gums then spits out but appears very interested in (though probably enjoying the spoon more). Will be looking for tips on weaning / BLW or otherwise if anyone has any advice or book recommendations. Feeling a bit daunted by it, so used to boobing!

Loving AngelGeorgie's new name btw, scan this week coming I think?

Bugger - he's woken! Laters lovelies! x

hi all

how are you all?

sorry i haven't been on in ages, just been so busy and so tired but so happy.. C is waking lots but she's just amazing, rolling lots, sitting on her own, doing high fives which are the cutest! the sleep regression seems to be regressing even more, she is having 3 meals a day, about 25/30 oz of milk and wolfed down milk last night at 11 and 3 like we hadn't fed her all day! Will see what tonight brings, she falls asleep again like straight away so can't complain at all at all.

ANgelgeorgie best of luck with scan this week

did you see lilly allen is pregnant again? delighted for her.

gilda glad to hear you are all better

AngelGeorgie · 11/06/2011 23:37

Gi1da · 12/06/2011 18:16

Hey Happy loving the sound of high fives [super cute]!

AngelGeorgie will be thinking of you on (iirc) the 14th.

Very heartwarming to hear Lily Allen's news, wishing her and new husband well. Poor kid, she must be delighted but kacking it.

Gi1da · 12/06/2011 18:20

Duh not 14th, Thursday for AngelGeorgie's scan

AngelGeorgie · 12/06/2011 19:32

ThanksGilda know where Lily's coming from. I ll keepnu updated it ' s the 16th , near enough!!! XxWink

Muser · 12/06/2011 21:32

Hello everyone.

Hope your next scan goes well AngelGeorgie, will be thinking of you.

Things here are going fine, lots of grins and shrieks. Fingers crossed the 16 week growth spurt is over. The last week has been a hell of broken sleep. Last night it was a 3am wake and a 6.45am wake, then a lie in until 9am. Long may it continue! Although I'd quite like to go back to just having the one wake up.

PenguinsMummy · 13/06/2011 13:11

Hi All

Sorry haven't been on for ages. Hope everyone is well.

C is lovely - starting to smile & is now doing an 8 hour stretch at night so only up once as dream feeds have never worked on any of my DD's - seems to disturb rather than settle! Got C christened yesterday which was a great day for all. My MC was a year ago so all in all a bit of an emotional weekend.

Apologies for lack of name checking.

xxx

Just a quick hello. Hope everyone is fine, and slow-moving thread means people are enjoying life!

All good here. Though could still do with some more sleep.

LouiseGeorgieAngel, will be thinking of you tomorrow. All the best.

AlbaDeTamble · 15/06/2011 11:20

Bit sleep deprived here still, and getting over a horrid virus. Fought it for a while and finally gave in to it yesterday. DH stayed home and looked after the baby between feeds and I got a very much needed duvet day. Much better today though a bit dizzy. Probably just my low blood pressure so good excuse for lots of treats to keep me from fainting!

I'm so proud I managed to EBF this time but at 5 months it's a ton of calories to produce every day, I remember being amazed at how much formula DS1 could get through at this age, so I suppose it's no wonder I'm so tired...

How's bath time going Loopy? I finally went out and bought a baby bath seat which makes it a lot easier to bath them together, and the baby also, thankfully, loves kicking on his bathmat. But plenty of evenings I've been precariously balancing him for a feed whilst drying DS1 and helping him with PJs... Why do they suddenly lose all ability to dress themselves when it's least convenient for you to help?
I have been spoiled a lot though as my DSD's love helping out with bedtime. I miss my goodnight cuddle with DS1 but he loves his sisters being in charge.

Ah, bliss, he's fed to sleep on my knee and I'm in a coffee shop with comfy chairs and good cake and waitress service. almost too perfect. I wonder how long he'll nap Hmm?

AlbaDeTamble · 15/06/2011 11:24

Oh, and the main reason I posted... Thinking of you Lou and wishing you all the very best for tomorrow. And excited to hear if Georgie's getting a little brother or a little sister! Will you tell us?

AlbaDeTamble · 15/06/2011 11:26

And hugs for Penguin, anniversaries are hard, even when life is now so good.

AlbaDeTamble · 15/06/2011 11:28

Can you all tell I'm sleep deprived.... I fondly remember when pregnant I could manage really good name checking. I'm replying in my head as I read and thinking of you all, but just a bit useless these days...
Can't believe I'm only a few weeks of the stage where I went back to work, full time, with a long commute last time. Thank goodness this time I'm taking a year!

AngelGeorgie · 15/06/2011 15:55

Hi all. Thanks for your kind wishes of course I ll post tomorrow when I can. Love to you all xxxxxWink
