Totally's PostGrads- you know who you are II

Totally's original thread was for TTC after MC. It continued long after Totally herself graduated, and is still going strong. Totally's grads was set up as a thread for pregnancy post MC - i.e. anyone who graduated from Totally's thread and anyone else who had experienced MC and was now pregnant. It, too, is still going strong.

Now, more and more of us have graduated from Totally's grads - including LouiseSH, whose Georgie was born asleep. I suppose that makes us postgrads. We have travelled together for a long time and would like to stay in touch, but the pregnancy post MC thread is starting to get very big, and I think it should be allowed to keep its focus on pregnancy post MC. May it be as wonderful a place for support for current "members" as it was for us.

So this thread is a place for us to keep in touch, share experiences, and provide support.

Good luck today Louise.

Aargh, this bad weather is doing my head in. Naps do not happen inside in this house, so rain screws up everything. COME ON SUN!

Gi1da · 16/06/2011 13:07

Thinking of you AngelGeorgieLou

toomuchteaching · 16/06/2011 14:00

Just wanted to say good luck to angelgeorgielou, looking forward to hearing your news.

All well here, I mean apart from still being awake loads and poos at inconvenient, trying to sleep times.

Crap weather leads to feeding to sleep on my knee... oh well, just have to watch Neighbours I guess! Blush

Waves to all.

Muser · 16/06/2011 19:21

Oh that's lovely. Hooray for an ickle sister!

Meita · 16/06/2011 19:50

Yay ickle sister! Good news that all measurements are looking good. Though I assume you won't be relaxing very much until you hold a kicking little bundle in your arms. I'm sure though that little Georgie Bigfoot, wherever she is, is looking out for her little sister, like a guardian angel.

zayja · 17/06/2011 04:21

...[Sheepishly checking in on you all after being gone for ages]

Yay AngelGeorgie! What fantastic news!!! :) I've been thinking of you and hoping I would hear some good news. And now Gils is on the way - wonderful!
Not a lot to say, just glad to read that everyone's lo's are healthy and happy. Winona is well - gonna be 6 months on Sunday. She is an active little girl who has to be on the move and wants to do everything mum and dad do. So curious!
Sleep issues seems to be the order of the day, but aren't they always? You're right meita, they're so insignificant compared to all the great moments. Being a first time mom I think is challenging because you're constantly finding your way - but a fantastic journey. Take care all.

stuffedmk · 17/06/2011 11:41

Lovely news louise so pleased for you. I hope the memorial service goes well.

Big waves to everyone else. We are doing well. T's reflux seems to be improving which is a relief! My scar has been a bit achy recently- had to stop during aqua aerobics (!) as it was hurting... I guessit takes longer than I thought to fully heal,

Delighted for you AngelGeorgie! She's going to be with you very shortly now! :-)

AlbaDeTamble · 19/06/2011 22:42

23 weeks tomorrow, still ebf and I am feeling utterly, utterly drained... is it just me?

I dearly wish right now that he'd take a bottle so I could get a few hours off, and a chance to get just a little tiny bit of energy back. But I suppose small consolation is that real food will kick in very soon now, and his dependence on me will slowly wane. I suppose this too will pass and one day I'll miss it. Better make the most of it whilst it lasts.....

Gi1da · 21/06/2011 11:19

Happy 23 weeks Alba! Utterly drained here too. Thought we were getting somewhere with only one or two ups in the night, but last night, not asleep till 10pm, woke for feeds 12, 1, wibbled around 2, 3.30, 5, 7 aaaarrrggggghhhhh!

On the other hand, absolutely charming little chap, rolling, sitting, trying to push himself about. Making lots of really lovely noises. Sigh. If ONLY I didn't feel so vacant :-(

Hoping everyone is well xxx

And big HELLO to Zayja! SmileSmile

Meita · 21/06/2011 23:37

hi peeps,

knackered here too - I. had his first tummy bug and was creating 3-hourly liquid poo explosions, day and night, from Wed evening until Sunday. To keep fluids up, was feeding him all the time. He's better now but I'm still recovering!

On the positive side, he's learned how to clap, and just the other day, how to play peekaboo. Though sometimes he puts his hands in front of his ears instead of his eyes Grin. And since recovering, he's been very bubbly and laughing lots and generally just a happy baby.

Then again, he's turned very mummy-clingy. Won't be settled by his daddy most of the time. Nor anyone else. That's no good...

toomuchteaching · 22/06/2011 19:52

Am so with you Alba. Night before last I saw every hour. But last night wasn't quite so bad, lots of wake ups but back to sleep within 10 minutes which is a real step forwards. Will see what tonight brings.

Sorry to hear about I's tummy bug Meita, that does not sound fun. R sounds like a very chirpy chappy though Gi1da, we haven't quite mastered sitting here yet, and rolls are still a very infrequent occurrence... which I'm actually quite happy about!

Meita · 22/06/2011 20:13

oh btw waves to Zayja, good to hear from you!

sending sleepy vibes to all babies...

Muser · 22/06/2011 20:58

Hello all. We are house of little sleep here too. Still on the 3 hourly wakings. Last night she added "spending an hour trying to roll over at 4am" to her repertoire. I left her to it in the end and she fell asleep by herself. I am slightly wondering if it might be time to move her to her own room. But I am too lazy to get up and trudge to her room if she needs a feed. So I'm thinking not.

Staying at the in-laws this weekend. If they have a spare room I might leave baby in with her dad and sleep in one of the spare rooms. He can then bring her to me. He might sleep through some grumblings more than I can. I don't know. Still hoping this is going to end soon and I might get my good sleeper back. She has pushed her bedtime forward to 8.30pm which I am MUCH happier about.

stuffedmk · 24/06/2011 12:11

I'm sitting here staring at T feeling so grateful to have him right now. Have just heard that someone I know has lost her baby at 34 weeks, just feel so terrible for her, wish there was something I could do Sad
