for you Dog near the bottom of the page.

Nothing changes, if you take all the comments out that can date our posts, mostly we all just are the same, it's quite incredible to have documented so much of our lives. Talking of which, how is your blog?

Lenni · 16/01/2011 23:51

well...glad I had a disclaimer....MW turned up, everything gradually died down again and she's just left and told me to go to bed.
Have given up on having a baby...grrr.
Still getting contractions but not in established labour. Now I feel a twat for calling the MW. You would have thought by baby number 3 I might have some idea.

I was scrolling and reading like mad on my iPod touch hoping you had your baby... I can't believe after all that it dies down. The baby is teasing you. He's cheeky already! Hope you were able to get some sleep. I'll check back in before bed.

My labours were both like that HKZ, drove me potty. Hope you're sleeping and regrouping ready for when things hot up again.

I went to bed early as I wasn't sure how DS's second night in the bed would go but he stayed put all night again and slept until 7.15am. Can't believe how well it's going so far tbh. I lay in bed last night feeling anxious thinking it can't continue to be this easy. Obviously had to find something to worry about Hmm

Really hope lovely HKZ things get moving again later and you have this baby soon.

Feeling a bit disheartened today...went to bed about 3am and got up about an hour ago.
Have never been this over due and didn't realise how stressful it is! Every twinge I'm like...ohhh....is this it? With DH asking every 30 mins, are you ok? Anything happening?
He's been great, but it is like living in limbo. I know in my logical head it will all happen when its ready. I've only got until Thursday to have a HB, which kind of adds to the stress too...I'm not very good with deadlines, always end up asking for extensions Grin Dog and Tree, its good to know this is normal for labour and not just me!

Tea glad J was a little start last night.... hopefully this will be it! My J was a PITA and was like a jack in the box until about half nine...he thought he was being hilarious, building duplo towers in the dark and chuckling to himself.

Happy birthday 120's H!

Right I am off to book myself some acupuncture and find things other than babies to fill my mind.

DS can't see - that's why he can't do it. But he does rush out of bed laughing for a while. Whilst DD shouts "Mummy, he's getting out of bed again, mummy!" in a panic stricken voice, which just makes me extra grumpy. I've put him for a nap after removing all toys from the room first and shutting the door, as I know he's tired. I also need a break after their constant squabbling this morning over toys etc.

I'm so tired, and the nursery teacher wants to talk to me after, as apparently I seem a little confused about how changes of clothes work if they have an accident and something else Hmm Not the wording I'd have chosen as no one has said anything to me about it, so I do the same as pre school and take a change of clothes with me for DD, but they sent her home in some of their own last time, that I then had to wash and remember to return. I did tell another teacher in there that's what I do and she didn't say anything to the contrary to me but instead must've told the other teacher. I don't understand why the first teacher couldn't have just told me at the time. As I couldn't speak to DD's teacher as she's always on lunch when I drop her off. I think I must be feeling paranoid/ sensitive at this new nursery thing though, I'm also feeling grumpy today, maybe it's the dark dreary weather too...? Just feeling a bit down and fed up.

HKZ I really hope things get going again for you, but I'm glad you had a really good sleep. I hated this stage too. Smile

hackneyzoo · 17/01/2011 13:56

Dog, I have been having sex, just can't be arsed now...might try the syringe!
MW last night did an internal and was able to push the baby's head in and out of my pelvis, so she said it's not even engaged, whereas my regular midwife has been telling me it's been engaged for weeks. They won't do a HB if I go beyond thursday, but am going to stick to my guns about not being induced and I suppose the plus side is there is a brand new birthing centre with pools etc up the road, so I guess I could go there.
Am humming and harring about whether to fork out 40 quid for an acupuncture session, I went into labour after one last time, but am not sure if that was just coincidence or not.
Defintely overthinking Grin

Tea think January is just a dreary shit time of year, its post Chirstmas blues time... Spring is round the corner though... DD's nursery sent home reams and reams of paper at the start with all thier rules and policies, I had a brief look and decided it was best not to go into to much depth Confused They have a uniform and am constantly getting it wrong and told off! I wouldn't worry about it, every parent must be in the same boat...and this is just the start of a whole 13 years of formal schooling Grin I get a sinking feeling in my stomach just thinking about it!

Thanks Dog, you always make me feel better Smile Was trying so hard not to cry last night as MW had her hand up my fanjo cheerfully telling me 'Can you feel that? I'm pushing your baby's head in and out of the pelvis, definitely not engaged!'. Have had three sweeps so far. Lots of show. Think I will just have to wait it out as don't have $$$ for acupuncture at the moment.

Ended up crying in the bath this morning, more because a felt a twat for thinking I was in labour Blush than anything else. The lovely MW rang earlier to see how I was which was nice, she delivered Jude too.

Right...nursery pick up time, then dancing! (for Lily not me)
