Anyway...just need to add....this is a disclaimer....I am by no means guaranteeing I am in active labour and can not be held responsible for the presence or lack of new born baby in the morning. Grin Ok?

Errr, no, that is not ok! Grin No pressure or anything.

Yes, sorry about that, not very well thought through.

And yes, bugger off (well sort of, just maybe bugger off but send DH to update or something)... last time I told someone to bugger off and have a baby on here, she did and she did, remember that Dog?! You did us proud with your virtual birthing that night.

Lenni · 16/01/2011 22:55

great minds...

hackneyzoo · 16/01/2011 22:57

Ohhh, I like having a bit of suspense on my FB page.

Think I have to go to my primal dark cavewoman place to give birth.... but will update in between if it's not too hurty....

f5, f5, f5

No it's only in films they arrive that quick isn't it?! Oh sod it, I'll straighten my hair, that'll kill half an hour. What's the chance of a half hour labour so I can feel all warm and snuggly in the presence of a newborn before bed? Asking too much d'you think?

Sorry about that Dog!

Lenni · 16/01/2011 23:02

f5, f5.... just a few more for luck.

Return from the wildernesses dear friends, we might have a sweet smelling newborn in our midsts by morn. I'm feeling all Jane Eyre, where are the towels and hot water, someone mop HKZ's brow...

Okay, I'll leave quietly. No need to alert the authorities.

Feck, who broke MN in the middle of a birth?!

Fear of reprimand produced a baby... I'd like to take the credit for that, but methinks you may have had just a smidge to do with it Grin, perhaps you could credit me with a supporting role, non speaking part.

I really need to sleep, and lesson plan, and will regret my actions come the morning but the chance of witnessing a real person get born by the medium of MN is far too exciting.

Lenni · 16/01/2011 23:11

Double feck, DH is home after week away. May have to go and talk to him. Shit, how can I delay... Hmm Grin

boy, 8lb on the nose, 3.14am. Total guess, reserve right to revise when I can find HKZ's previous labour stats...

Found this while hunting:

Some one needs to try sex. I tried clary sage, it's only fair someone try sex.....

Volunteers...?

Made me Grin

EachPeachPearMum · 16/01/2011 23:31

I'm guessing it's a girl, 7lb 3oz.

Hello all! Hope you're all well...

A very big "Happy Birthday' to all those just turned/about to turn 2 Smile

DS is still in a cotbed... with bars, shown no signs whatsoever of climbing out, so like Isla the smiler he's staying put for as long as possible!

That said, DD is outgrowing her cotbed (no bars, obv) so we may have to make a painful move to bunkbeds (means removing bookcases and over a thousand books from their bedroom Hmm)

Lenni · 16/01/2011 23:32

Followed swiftly by this:

givethedogAhomebirth Tue 06-Jan-09 22:50:58

Also I AM NOT HAVING SEX AGAIN have I made my self clear enough. Last attempt was a disaster. Although it did work with DD was a week late, had sex and lo and behold I went straight into labour almost instantly

Lenni · 16/01/2011 23:32

Hello you, nice to cross paths.

How is this 2 years ago. Sigh. Oh dear, I better get a grip, DH will spot a chink in the armour if I'm not careful. REMEMBER THE PACT.

LenniEd Thu 08-Jan-09 13:20:04

Oh go on then, since you asked...

D born last night at 10.34pm. 4hours 'established' labour apparently. HA BLINKIN HA! TBH those 4hours plus the 2nd car journey to hospital were the only hard bits. Actually was incredible experience, will tell all soon. Waterbirth, G&A, fantastic midwife and DH put in a sterling performance too.

Tis amazing what the body can do. I pushed once, everything else just happened by itself really. That whole 'breathing the baby out' thing really can be done.
