blueberryboybait · 02/12/2010 22:14

Night night snuggle up warm.

CrispyTheCrisp · 02/12/2010 22:37

Use that water from the kettle for a hot water bottle bibi Smile

FjorgynAndHotWater · 02/12/2010 23:02

It's minus loads outside tonight, brrrr, think I will have a hot water bottle too.

Hope you manage to keep warm bibi, what a lucky escape you have all had today. Am very very very glad you didn't die Smile

salta · 02/12/2010 23:14

Yes, glad you are OK. Merlion I guess today isn't the day for us to be discussing keeping cool in 30 degree heat, factor 80 sun cream and air conditioners ...!

HippyHippopotamus · 02/12/2010 23:14

sorry but fjornggyn you really made me laugh with am very very very glad you didn't die

HippyChristmaspotamus · 02/12/2010 23:16

just popping back to try on my new hat

HippyChristmaspotamus · 02/12/2010 23:17

ooh i quite like it Xmas Smile

Merlion · 03/12/2010 04:52

Bibi what a shock. Glad you are all ok and take care and keep warm.

Salta no probably wouldn't be best Grin. Although it is rainy season so we're getting our fair share of that. We're still battling with the non-sharing although when we got home from a recent playdate he declared to DH 'DS good sharing'.

Star DS has been a complete terror trying to get to bed recently. He wants 'Mummy up' or 'sleep Mummy & Daddy's bed' the whole time. Maybe they can sense something?!

His latest trick seems to be asking me what everyone's name is - usually random people on the street but yesterday he asked me what the window's name was and the door's Hmm

Enya looking forward to seeing the name change. So pleased things seem to be working out for you Xmas Smile.

santashappychick · 03/12/2010 06:59

Hoping you like my new name [fgrin[

bibi hope you all managed some sleep last night and are all on the mend.. i am buying a carbon monoxide alarm today too!!

urs sounds like you have been hit really badly with the snow.. we are due to flu to dublin tom to see dad for the weekend.. have just checked our foreast and we are due to have fog Xmas Hmm so between the snow over their and fog here its going to be touch and goXmas Hmm

crispy gorgeous pics of the girls Xmas Grin..

fjor loving your words to bibi Xmas Grin

my big baby is still poorly... it is starting to wear abit thin, she was coughing and spluttering all the night, headache and slight temp again [sigh].. been on her antibiotics for four full days now.. when will it end??

anyway hope you all have a good day today Xmas Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/12/2010 08:46

Poor DD enya, are the docs interested in taking it further as to why she seems to be getting so many infections? Fingers x'd for your flight to Dublin (and back!)

We are off the the Christmas market in Bath today with my neighbour. Now in theory, this should be lovely but both girls are currently in their rooms for DD2 not listening to a request (made 4 times) and DD1 for sticking her tongue out at me when i asked to eat her toast (after a number of other things) . Oh and we have already had the chat about listening, behaving and not running off today, to which they both nodded in agreement Hmm

blueberryboybait · 03/12/2010 08:53

Crispy - wrap up extra warm it's cold in Bath.

Silkstalkings · 03/12/2010 09:06

Crispy get some K-i.d. bands from Boots if you're out and about - make it a reward for good listeningGrin.

Envy at trip to Bath. DH has been given a lift to work today so am now stuck indoors on my own with 3 kids. Seeing as our little suburb is pretty much a volcano in shape (our street running vertically up/down it), it's a bit tricky.

Merlion · 03/12/2010 09:19

Crispy how about Deepandcrispyandeven Xmas Grin?

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 03/12/2010 09:57

Morning all :)

Merlion that is interesting, maybe so! DS joined us in bed last night at 2am, although it was so cold I didn't begrudge him.

Did a proper pratfall on the way to work this morning Angry I am quite pissed off with the council for not gritting the pavement - they don't need to do them all but this stretch of road/park is a main thoroughfare for people walking to work/uni/school, it's always busy and the whole way was like a bloody skating rink. Anyone living on that street who is in the least bit infirm will basically be trapped in their house for the day. It sucks.

TwilightSurfer · 03/12/2010 11:25
Xmas Smile
maisyandpandulce · 03/12/2010 14:47

jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way
oh what fun it is to ride on maisy's bus today

poppysocks · 03/12/2010 14:59

Haven't caught up at all, but know that if I wait until I have it'll be another 4 months until I post, but just wanted to pop in to say hello...

Life here is busy, stressful and exciting. We appear to be building a house....ShockHmm On a whim we put our house on the market, having popped in on a house that we had noticed was on the market and looked nice (serves us right for being nosey). Anyway, long story short was that we have sold our house but the new house fell through (horrific divorce in couple selling with one saying black to the other's white) and nothing else around we could face spending our money on. However.... found a really beautiful plot tucked away in a great village. Snag being that there is no house to live in. Now on the steepest learning curve known to mankind to work out what to do. We beat a builder to the plot by 20 mins and he's now hopping from foot to foot in the background trying to nab it from us so we may still be gazumped but at the mo it all feels equally exciting and terrifying.

Otherwise life continues. Tons of visitors (of varying levels of interest), another major crisis with BiL, a nice hol and starting my new job.

DDs are great, although I've had a v tough time with DD1's temper. Think she'd been picking up on all the stress around her and, for now, is on better form. DD2 is refusing to use the potty/loo at home, whilst being very good out of the house [smoke coming out of ears emoticon].

So, how are you all?? (That is a lazy and ultimately rhetorical question as I really need to read back and find out). Despite my absence, I have thought of you all Smile.

blueberryboybait · 03/12/2010 17:06

[fbear]

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/12/2010 17:10

LOL at 'visitors (of varying levels of interest) Grin'. Wow to building your own house, i hope you do keep the builder at bay as it sounds wonderful (if a little hard work for a few years months). DD2 here will use the potty at home quite happily but forgets when she is out - perhaps we could exchange for a bit for some peer learning Grin

Ouch for your fall star i hope you are ok and only bruised pride. You know you have to ask DH to massage some arnica into your bruised bottom Wink

blue it was freeeeeeezing in Bath. Mostly pretty awful time wrestling DDs it has to be said, but they were VERY happy at lunch in Wagamamas (see pics) Hmm.
Managed to tick a fair few pressies off though so pretty chuffed

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/12/2010 17:13

Merlion I do like that, but would i risk sounding like a pizza? ConfusedGrin

CrispyTheCrisp · 03/12/2010 17:18

Oh bless, DD2 picked up a cucumber and said 'oh look, a sun'. Then took a bite and said 'now it's a moon'!

Should i sign her up for NASA now? Wink

Silkstalkings · 03/12/2010 17:35

Wow Poppy that is exciting news! Have always hankered for a New England style clapboard kit-house since seeing one imported on Grand Designs. The company sent an expert over with it to advise the local builder!

santashappychick · 03/12/2010 17:39

Lol crispy Xmas Grin glad you had fun in bath

poppy lovely to hear from you and how exciting about building your own house!!

Star really hope you are ok after your fall

bibi how are you all feeling? Hope the boiler has been fixed and everyone fully recovered [hugs]

Watcha TS was thinking about u today!!

Day from hell here running around like a mad woman trying to get organised for Dublin tho who knows if make it!! Dd2 being so lively shrieking shouting and generally full of beans... Raging pmt to boot Xmas Hmm

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 03/12/2010 17:46

poppy helloooo! :) How exciting re. building a house. I take my woolly hat off to you, it's one of those things I dream about but would probably never have the balls to do.

The only thread news I can think of atm is that pert and I are both pregnant :) (was formerly c y t e e n btw) and our dear Scottish cake maker and her girls have had a nasty brush with carbon monoxide :(

Crisp oh how DH would love that Xmas Wink Your day sounds rather like mine with respect to toddler wrangling, although I did also get to hold a friend's scrumptious 6 week old baby girl, so a bit of a bonus there Xmas Smile Hope friend wasn't too terrified by the sight of mine and another friend's 2yos having simultaneous public tantrums Xmas Grin

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 03/12/2010 17:47

Oh, and the lovely Singaporean branch of our little club is also expecting no.2 Xmas Grin but has also namechanged hence all my cloak and dagger ramblings.
