Hello Xmas Grin

SOL - have read your posts, I hope the MRI went ok and everything is ok with your mum. Thinking of you x

Thank you for birthday messages.
Sorry but have come here purely for purpose of moaning as am trying very hard not to be all self-pitying in real life! Morning sickness got a lot worse and spent most of last week in hospital on a drip, am on 2 types of drugs now which has helped with the vomiting a bit (couldn't even keep a sip of water down before) but made no difference to nausea. Had managed to keep working until last monday and back to work tomorrow (well worked this am but couldn't do pm as Dylan had pre-school jabs) so only lost a week and a half pay which not as bad as it could have been but dp also had to take last week off to look after dc and we still don't know if hes going to get paid for that or not, I doubt it tbh. But I thought it was ok as I have a savings account I put money in every month to cover my unpaid holiday and any time off sick. Went to get money out the other day only to discover account is empty, seems someone has cloned my card and stolen several hundred pounds of my money Angry Angry Am livid!! They are sending me a form to report it and I 'should' get my money back but isn't going to be in time for xmas. And now I've lost nearly all my mindees, 2 parents have given me notice because of me having had this time off and they anticipate me having more and then mat leave (which is understandable I guess) and 1 parent has because of her health. Had given notice to 1 of the other parents as was cutting down due to my health so will soon be left working 5 hours a week with just 1 child, earning a grand total of £17.50 a week! Which doesn't actually cover my expenses so am jacking it all in, at least till after baby anyway. Oh and my thigh is going funny and numb/tingly/painful where I had a cyclizine injection last wed which is slightly concerning me. And I have tooth ache!!

And breathe.....

Going to go hug the toilet for a bit now, will try and come back soon and not rant or moan or be self obsessed or anything, I promise!!!

CaptainDippy · 02/12/2010 19:39

Rant away Pesha Xmas Wink Things have been tough for you, poor love. So sorry your sickness has been so awful Xmas Sad Not saying a lot as I've had a shitty day; but I'll come back tomorrow when I'm in a better frame of mind ....

Pesha that is all crap :( You can rant all you like if you've been on a drip :(
so sorry

Dippy, what's been up?

CaptainDippy · 04/12/2010 09:10

Jus found the snow days hard as my children hated the snow Xmas Sad & I am just very stressed out atm. Feeling a bit better today! Xmas Smile

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 04/12/2010 09:34

:( It is hard, esopecially since there's this assumption that all children love snow and will play for hours in it Hmm. Mine like it to some extent, but once you're wet from the knee down and there's lumps of snow in your wellies the appeal fades a bit.

Doobydoo · 04/12/2010 17:14

PeshaSadSorry you feel pants and everything going abit pear shaped.REALLY hope you feel better soon.
Dippy...I am sorry you feeling crapSadI am glad snow is going and agree with SPB.

Hiya just popping in quickly as still no internet at home and am at work!

Haven't caught up with others news, so apologies for that.

The move went really well and we are pretty sorted, although the cats are being terrorized by a local cat and are so scared to go out that one of them is using the house as a toilet - eughhhhhh!

Finally called the gynae dept yesterday and the blood test (for ov cancer) is normal and the MRI scan just showed a 6 cm cyst filled with blood and the fallopian tube on the left showing up with some liquid in it - eugghhhhhhhhh.

So, thank f* for that. I am being referred to have my ovary and tubes removed hopefully by keyhole surgery in the new year.

Sadly my Mum is not doing well at all, and she has only a short time left. She is in bed most of the time as she is just so weak. It is utterly heartbreaking to see. I'll keep you as up to date as I can.

Love to everyone, and thanks so much for being such great support. xx

Doobydoo · 08/12/2010 08:13

sol..am EXCEEDINGLY RELIEVED FOR YOU RE YOUR RESULTS.Though having ovary and tubes removed must still be a shock.Glad move went well.Sorry bout local cat [grrrr]

I am desperately sad to hear about your mum. There is nothing I can say except I am thinking of you all and please do keep us updated.Well you know where we are.xx

ScarletBandit · 08/12/2010 11:39

SOL, I am so very sorry to hear about your mum. I can't even imagine how devastating it must be for all of you. I have been thinking about you lately (even though I haven't actually made it on here). Look after yourself xxx
And I am glad that things are not as serious as you had feared with you. Having surgery is scary, but if it sorts out the problem then it is worth going through. I had keyhole for my gallbladder a couple of years ago and it was fine.

Pesha, you are going through the mill a bit lately. I really hope you manage to sort out your savings. That is a total nightmare, especially at this time of year. Hope you feel better in yourself soon too x

Not much happening here. Ds is at home as he is full of cold and has had a very high temp. He will be missing his school concert today, just the way it goes I guess.

Hope everyone else is doing ok, back soon xx

CaptainDippy · 08/12/2010 19:19

Glad the move went ok and you are settling in nicely Xmas Smile Like Dooby said, so desperately sad about your mum Sad Oh SOL. It must be so hard fory ou all to see her like that. Hoping the end is so peaceful and calm. xx Great news about your results! Xmas Smile Speaking of preventing babies ....

DH is currently sat up in bed saying "ow" a lot Xmas WinkXmas Grin

CaptainDippy · 09/12/2010 18:18

No more babies!!! Xmas Grin

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 09/12/2010 19:10

Ah just got why your dh is saying 'ow' - they are such wimps aren't they? My dh did have a slightly complicated time but as I've had three lots of cutting and stitching in my nether regions and three lots of 9 months of sickness and a PPH and breast fed all three - I told him to get on with it Grin

Doobydoo · 09/12/2010 20:36
Grin Dippy how do you feel about no more babies?

Saw occ health consultant today.Am to be permanently redeployedHmm I know I can't do nursing job I had but what is there for me to do in this current climate?Apparently they have 12 weeks to try to get me something maybe clerical...I have to say I criedBlushI knew sort of this might happen and who knows I may be able to nurse again[sounds dramatic]but i feel gutted. All that effort and it was the job I wanted. Also there are plenty of people with clerical skills etc looking for work and who will have much better skills than me.
I was thhinking about training to be some sort of counsellor...children related...experience in palliative care, neonates and paeds we don't have the money to fund it and i don't know where to start...any suggestions about what I could do etc greatfully received[not rude ones!]
SOL...Thinking of you.xx

oooggs · 09/12/2010 21:08

dh had his done last month, I didn't hear any owwws >>>>> Wink

NorthernLurker · 09/12/2010 22:56

Dooby - I know a lot of managers who are nurses by background. You can still help people in admin/managerial roles - I do every day Grin Good luck with the redeployment.
