HELLLLLOOOOOO!!!!!!!

QueenofLists (thats going to be Qol in no time Wink ) BB4 is a Canadian Policewoman, that is why she had to do weapons training. I'm afraid I did giggle at your FB update about Anya christening the neighbours deck Grin

Chocstar I'm Shock at your sil, what an incredibly selfish, insensitive piece of work she is! She obviously hasn't had any serious greif in her life; I would remind her of this incident when she does, but know you won't because you are a lot nicer than me. What is this about not thinking you would be a good mother to a girl?...of course you would...you are a great Mum...end of story!

BB4 Bravo on passing your weapons training..I hope the bruises fade quickly.[Shock] at the ebay time waster...can you report her to the site moderaters?

Eva I hope they get your anaemia under control so you can find more energy especially as the eduactional year is about to recommence. I hope Aliyah doesnt miss her best friend too much when she returns to nursery.

NC sorry to hear about the prolapse..I hope they can fix it for you. Bravo you for getting so much done while you had the peace. I hope you are having a fabulous time in France.

Inzi I have already commented on Fb but I'm glad you have final date for Georges' arrival even if it isnt your ideal method of delivery (better than all the waiting and drama of last time)and, as I said on Fb, it means George is going to be an eldest of school year child rather than youngest so yuo will get a whole extra year of having your baby home.I hope the trampolining does the trick before then though Wink
As to our other ladies who are due; ..Herjazz is being induced next Thursday hopefully.Strawberry must be having the twins early so is probably due in a month or two. Choc is in her second trimester I think and Eva is as you probably read, almost 12 weeks.

I'm very very Envyof you all..Sil had her 40th at our house yesterday (pils new house still not finished so they are all packed into hers with no room for guests)and their cousin arrived with their 4 month old and a family friend with her 4 week old...I got sooooo broody.. but Dh still says no Sad.
Probl'y for the best as my blood test results came back with abnormally high liver enzyme results so as my chloresterol levels are fine (4.3)and I dont drink much (1-2 glasses of wine a week)the only thing to do is get my BMI down ..Sad.so I'm in no condition to carry another baby even if managed to get pg SadHo hum let the diet recommece again
Other news from ToscaTowers is that the dog rather than Alex showed me up at the Bouvier rally (in the middle of a fabulous round of agility he jumped off the high level plank walk and took a dump in the middle of the arena much to amusement of the crowdBlushBlushBlush)but it was lovely to see all his relations and chat to like minded people.
And Alex just loved yesterday;we have bought a 'weeride' bike seat for my bike and he has wanted to eat and sleep in his new helmet since we bought it on Saturday so we gave them their first outings first thing in the morning(Alex loved it Smile)then we changed for one of his 3 yr old pals' birthday parties (yes it is that season again!), after which his Dad and grandad took him and his cousins to the park to play on the fabulous playground and have a game of football while sil, mil, a few others and myself had a beauty therapist do a pamper party for us (I got my brows waxed and tinted, my lashes tinted and had a fabulous facial), then they all came back as the guests arrived and the party commenced!... Alex passed out at 6.30!!!!! All in all a very enjoyable weekend and ...even better .. because sil originally wanted a spa weekend and ordered us to save up for it last january, but then didnt manage to save enough herself, I have enough in the piggy bank for a midweek break at Centre parcs...so guess where we are going in October? GrinGrin
Now..back to the search for my wii fit disc...Alex had it on Wednesday and it hasnt been seen since Hmm and I need to get rid of this flab

FloriaTosca · 31/08/2010 12:31

oh and sorry not to say hi to all individually...Dal etc...will rectify next time

strawberrylace · 31/08/2010 19:21

just adding a message so i can find you all again - need to get bathtime underway...

QueenOfLists · 31/08/2010 20:28

Inzi - good luck for Friday - hope it all goes really smoothly and you have a lovely relaxed birth.

Hi Dal, thanks for sorting the thread!

FT - good news that your cholestorol is low - . Do you have a tried-and-trusted diet you can use? Lol at Thane being embarrassing at the dog show - I think he and Anya should swap tips about doing unspeakable things in inappropriate places Grin. Your weekend sounds wonderful - especially the pamper party. And awwww at Alex in a helmet - I bet he looks so cute.
I can sympathise with the broody feelings - I've actually done that thing of working backwards from what's the latest I could realistically have another one, taking into account how long I might have to try, how long I would want to be in a relationship etc, and worked out I need to meet another bloke round about next week. HmmHmmHmm

As you'll have gathered from fb, potty training isn't going completely smoothly. In addition to peeing on the neighbours' decking (luckily they have a sense of humour!), she did a poo in her knickers at a birthday party without giving me any warning. She's great at home, just not so great when we're out - but then she did a wee on a public toilet while out with h today, so hopefully she's getting the hang of it really quickly.

EvaLongoria · 31/08/2010 21:08

Just a quick hello to all so that I can also add a watch to this thread. Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday.

Dal Thanks for starting another thread. Hope you getting some sleep again. Havent had a proper look at facebook yet.

QoL Hope you dont mind Smile. I also laughed at Anya wetting the neighbours decking. She will get there in the end. Dont worry too much. And the fact that she used the public toilets is a big plus because apparently some kids wouldn't mind using toilets at home but refuse public toilets. Hang in there

Inzi Good Luck for friday but really keeping my fingers cross George comes ealier. I can only imagine your discomfort.

Floria Thanks I am slowly getting better so hopefully soon. From Thursday I will have to get up early every morning cos she starts nursery. Not looking forward to it Sad especially now that the cold days are starting. I so Envy you for your pamper party. Cant remember when last I got pampered like that. Good Luck with the Wii Fit I'll probably join you once baby is here because we bought one to lose weight and instead I have been putting baby pounds on.

Well I had a lovely few days. DH had 3 days off. So Sunday he managed to get his parents to have Aaliyah overnight, second time that we tried (first time we ran away) this time we prepared her and she looked so forward to it. We then went to have a proper adult dinner alone and then we went to the cinema. Watched the Angeline Jolie movie, Salt. We then went home. We were suppose to have had a lovely romantic night just the two of us because poor man has been starving since just before I found out we were expecting. So I kinda promised him some action.... Ended up falling asleep 15 mins after we got home and slept until 9am. Grin

He wasnt best pleased, but understand. We then picked her up by 10:30 and drove to Milton Keynes to do some shopping because I need some new maternity bra's and few tops and trousers. Only managed to get bra's and ended up shopping for her again. We booked into a hotel last night and then spent the day at Gulliver's land in Milton Keynes which was lush and only got back just after 7. So quite a nice time. Oh and DH didnt manage to get any again last night. I just dont have any energy nor the mood. So while he is downstairs. I am gonna go to bed, play yesterday's episode of One Tree Hill, meaning he will stay downstairs until its done and hopefully I will be fast asleep before he comes up Grin

Hi to everyone else that I missed. Talk soon

Dalrymps · 01/09/2010 13:50

Sorry, will catch up soon, honest!

Dal Read your post. Thought I'd rather answer here. I suffered the same thing but not as bad as you are when Aaliyah was 4 months. I had my mum on my speeddial all the way from SA. She kept on saying to either drop the breastfeeding completely or introduce at least one bottle or 2 during the day to give my breast a break. Once I healed I breastfed happily until 9 months (she got used to bottle's fast flow by then and was quite a greedy eater)

Luckily Aaliyah took the Tommee Closer to Nature bottles. I always watch these baby programs and Baby Whisperer I know its a few years old and the lady has even died but she recommended the Haberman Feeder but it does cost about £16. But its mostly recommended for when you want to switch from breast to bottle and the baby refuses the bottle. Also the Dr Brown bottle.

EvaLongoria · 01/09/2010 16:02

Inzi Good luck and make the most of the time that DH has off. Or get some sleep if possible because he can then look after Jane. I bet its so exciting knowing George will be there soon. I am so impatient myself dont know how I am going to last 6.5 more months.

Floria Forgot to add... do hope that DH changes his mind soon. my DH refused me when Aaliyah was 12 months old. I wanted one soon after. Luckily he did so for good reason as he was an A....hole then. So now he is even more excited if I can say so about the new baby.

Dalrymps · 01/09/2010 20:13

Eva, thanks. Yeah have watched the baby whisperer and bought her book so know the feeder you mean, will consider it if no luck soon but I'm starting to run out of money as have now bought 3 types of bottles...

I really just want to call it a day now but Miles seems to have other ideas. He wouldn't take the nuk tonight, after an hour and a half of dh intermittently trying and Miles intermittantly crying I have just bfed him on the good side...

Congrats on the birth of gorgeous George Inez

Hello everyone xx

QueenOfLists · 04/09/2010 15:36

Inzi - congratulations hun for you and your family - I am so happy for you all!

Eva - awww your poor dh Grin. Your weekend sounds lovely - not surprised you prefer sleep to romance at the moment!

Dal - read your other thread - sorry you've had such a bad time, I think you're amazing for having stuck with it for so long. How is Miles doing now? Is he drinking better from the bottles?

we seem to have cracked potty training - she's not had any accidents for a couple of days! Crossed fingers.

Just back from an open day at the nursery - Anya is crashed out on the sofa after jumping around on the bouncy castle in the sunshine.

Have a good weekend all.

NeedCoffee · 04/09/2010 19:04

Inzi-Congratulations!!!!GrinGrinGrin xxx

Hi to everyone else-Got back from France(Well Belguim-Hull overnight ferry) this morning. Washing non-stop again and trying to get house sorted. I know I seem to have been away a lot this past few weeks! The France one was the one I won by singing on the radio. Am going to find time to get on here properly hopefully next week.

Love to all xx

Hey inzi! Poor you with your back to back labour, you did brilliantly to last till 10am without an epidural!

Glad you're home and settled in well. Sounds like everything us going great! So sweet that Jane loves George so much Grin.

You sound over the moon and rightly so. Bet Your dh is too!

George is super cute Smile

So so happy for you, hope you recover quickly x

I am so far behind we are even on a new thread!!! I seem to manage to keep up for a few days then loose it again.

Dal - how are you getting on. I took a look at your thread. I really feel for you as I also had a hellish time with feeding and I am very anxious about this time. Can't remember if I said this before but have you tried jelonet on your nipple? It was the only thing that helped mine to heal. I would cut little squares of it up and stick it on top of my nipple plus boob cream after every feed and kept the wound as moist as possible. I also express feed every second feed and only fed from my sore side once a day until it healed. How are you getting on with the bottle? I kept getting hassle about bad latch but in the end I just had to wait for the crack to heal and then I was fine.

Inzi big congratulations to you, sorry it is so late. I had a back to back with Dareh and it hurt like hell. Glad it is all going well for you :)

NC glad you enjoyed your trip - lucky you. You sang on the radio? I missed that one!

Floria sorry you and DH are on different pages with having another baby. That must be really difficult. Am jealous of your trip away! I have heard good things about centre parks.

Eva how are you keeping? My DH still isn't getting any and I am 20 weeks now. Just sooooo tired all the time.

Saw SIL this weekend, was ok. Just going to keep my distance from now on.

School hard going at the moment, we are very understaffed so are getting hammered for cover which I really hate. January can't come quick enough! Ohh just felt the baby move - nice :)

Off to school - catch you later :)

Dalrymps · 06/09/2010 07:49

Hey nc I'm soooo behind too. Maybe I should juststary afresh this thread Hmm

Yeah you have mentioned jelonet before but u have stupidly not bothered to get any then forgotten all about it! Will get some and try it, promise!

Lovely that you're feeling the baby move Smile what's your due date and scan date again? Sorry if I keep asking that but a few of the piggy ladies are preggers now and I get confused as to who I've asked.

Just sat in bed feeding Miles whilst the sun shines through the window, it's lovely and peaceful and quiet.

Inzi- how you feeling today? Healing ok?
How did George sleep last night? Did I mention I'm sooo thrilled for you?! Grin

Mornin' Ladies Smile

Inzi I think you were amazing enduring back to back until 10 am without epidural! Just so glad you are recovering quickly and George is being such a good baby and that Jane loves her little brother so much. About time you had yor full measure of happiness .... enjoy!!!

Choc It isn't so terrible that Dh and I aren't singing from the same sheet on the baby issue...in many ways it was actually worse when we were trying (before Alex)and he was only going along with it because, in his words, 'my need for a child was greater than his lack of desire for one'...I felt awful pressurising him into something he didnt want and very very alone when I was grieving for each m/c and he admitted his primary emotion was relief....Even though he has discovered that he is actually a pretty wonderful father and absolutely adores our son he genuinely feels no desire to repeat the experience and can only see more grief, worry and danger (for me) in trying again. I have been trying to find a winning argument in favour of ttc again for nearly 3 years now, there isn't one except the fact that I want to ... I just need to learn to be as selfless and sensible as he is and stop wishing myself younger and ailment free.[rueful emoticon].
How thrilling that you are feeling the baby moving now Smile Roll on January...I hope the staffing probs at your place ease up soon so the wait isnt too exhausting and stressful.

Dal I'm sorry not to have been around over the weekend to support you on your thread...but I'm glad that you have found a solution that makes you happy and are feeing more comfortable. I hope the bottles come in handy at some point.

QoL I really hope the perfect fella comes along tomorrow...I'd offer my brother for trial but he's just got himself involvedHmm...if all else fails there is always the donor bank Wink(quite seriously, if I hadn't met Dh when I did, I would have considered it)

NC Glad you had a lovely time in France..even better that you won the holiday for singing (its more than I ever didWink)

Must go and get dressed (lazy monday here) atm Alex is stripped naked (his doing) and 'cowld' so has pushed himself into my pj top to 'snuggle' while watching "Dora the Explorer" and shouting "assule" (sp?) meaning 'over' to the train going over the hill...good job no one but me can hear because his pronounciation is more like "ass 'ole" Blush

babyblue4 · 06/09/2010 17:15

Oooooohh! I am sooo far behind!! Blush Just marking this thread for now. Will catch up and post soon!

chocolatestar · 06/09/2010 18:15

Due 25th, Scan on wednesday!!!

QueenOfLists · 06/09/2010 19:23

NC - hi, how was your holiday?

Inzi - so glad everything is ok, bf going well, and Jane loving being big sister. Wishing you a swift recovery - good that you're home and settled. Enjoy your wonderful time with your family Grin.

Choc - hang in there, January will be here before you know it! (Kicks are lovely.) Good luck for scan on Wednesday.

FT - lol at donor bank - not considering that as an option just yet! Awww at Alex being cold and snuggly.

I have a rare evening off - h is having Anya tonight Grin. I'm just getting a few jobs done before I flake out on the sofa in front of the tv with a bottle of wine. I'd go for a takeaway but it's raining and blowing a gale.

I'm joining a choir next week - if they've got room for me and if I pass the audition. It's the Manchester Chorale, which I've not heard for years, but has a very good reputation. I can join them for one rehearsal next Tuesday and then they'll sort an audition if there's room (i.e. if I'm not a mardy cow or a diva I guess!!) I'm really looking forward to it, it will be lovely to do something that's not work/being a mum.
