Welcome to the thread for ladies who's lo's were born on Oct 2007!

Some of us have been here from the begining and some have joined along the way. New ladies always welcome to join in and chat with us, we're a friendly bunch!

Hey ladies, here's the new thread, had to start it cause the old one is nearly full and Inzi has been in touch to say she can't post on it as it won't load on her phone. She has been booked in for a section on fri!!!

Hope you are all well, off to bed for now

That sounds fab QOL, everyone should do some singing - it is good for the soul I think! My school music dept is starting a glee club for kids and I totally want to join it! I am going to do some acting classes this term although I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew by trying to manage work and classes and pregnancy.

Loving Alex pronounciation there! I remember being very glad when Dareh learned to say the l in clock! He used to shout big clock when we were down the town at the town clock.

QueenOfLists · 07/09/2010 19:09

Anya in the bath: "Mummy, there's a hole in my bum! You want to see?"
Me: "no thank you darling."

She showed me anyway.

NeedCoffee · 07/09/2010 19:26

PMSL QoL!!!! I've only read that top post, off to read the rest Grin

chocolatestar · 07/09/2010 21:33

Brilliant! Dareh did a similar things at the weekend after he had done a poo at my mum's house. He had a nappy on so turned around and said 'Look Gran!' and wiggled his bum so she could see the lump!

QueenOfLists · 08/09/2010 17:19

Surreal conversation with a toddler number 43:
Me: "what would you like for your birthday, Anya?" (checking to see if it's still elephant-related)
Anya: "a mushroom box"
Me: "what's a mushroom box?"
Anya: "it crawls on the roof"
Me: "the mushroom box crawls on the roof?"
Anya: "yes, it's only small"
Me: "what does a mushroom box look like"
Anya: "it's in the toy box"
Me: "have you already got a mushroom box?"
Anya (very sad voice): "Nooooo I haven't"
Me: "so would you like one for your birthday?"
Anya (on the verge of tears): "no, no, I don't want a mushroom box"
That's a relief then Confused.

He he he very funny QOL, I have similar conversations with Dylan. At the moment he keeps hiding losing things then when asked where they are just keeps saying 'I don't know!', not so good when it's the car keys or the missing part from grandads lawn mower Grin

We also have similar conversations atm, Shannon blames everyone else for everything too. She keeps saying that Rich gave her her poorly on her foot when he shouted at her, this is the same poorly that her 7month old cousin gave her with a teddy!Grin

Have been for physio on my neck today, he said the muscles have heeled dodgyly and have created a knot, he started to try and rub it out but it made me feel sick and really hurt, plus the girls where in the room playing up. Am going back on Tue and Rich is going to have the girls so I can concentrate, also have a cold atm which didn't help.

Oh God, Shannon is screeching, think she has a cold too as she has been horrible the last couple of days. Will try and get on later. tut.

chocolatestar · 08/09/2010 20:19

We asked Dareh if he would like a train set or a doll's house for his birthday and he said he would like a train with a house. Cheeky monkey.

Scan was lovely today, really nice. Am still feeling hellish though. Thinking day off tomorrow but it is hard as a teacher, always feel guilty!

NC that sounds horrible. I hope they can fix it. I regularly have to get my back treated, back and neck pain is awful.

Izni, so pleased you like the parcel Grin. Thanks again to Dal for organising it.

Lisa - wow at the house going up so quickly - how exciting!

strawberrylace · 09/09/2010 19:39

So pleased that you liked the parcel Inzi! You deserve it after all your recent troubles...
Dal did a fab job of getting us all in order, and getting the shopping in. I hope that you and your expanded family are all well xx

babyblue4 · 10/09/2010 03:49

Inzi - Congrats on your gorgeous George :) Glad you loved the parcel. Thanks again Dal for all your work putting it together for us. Xxx

I have been so busy this week. Two days have been spent training and tomorrow is my first day back to my 'real' job. Am a bit nervous as I haven't been in uniform for four years and so much has changed in that time. Not only am I back, but I have to work nine days straight!!! Sigh... I will eventually do a proper post, but in the mean time I hope you all don't mind just short me-type updates.

Hope all your DCs have had a good first few days back to school. Marco ended up with pink eye on his first day of nursery. Sofia wakes up every morning and says she no want go daycare!!! lol

Up at least 5 times last night, yaaaaawn. Ah he calls to be fed... Back later x

Hope you got some sleep today Dalry!

I totally agree this group really are amazing. You have often been a better support to me than my so called real life friends.

I am feeling quite sorry for myself today. The cold has turned into a sinus infection. I am on antibiotics which means I can't take my indigestion medication which stops me feeling sick after I eat. All round miserable. I have been signed off for the week but whether I will stay off I don't know. See how I feel I guess.

Hope you are having a nicer weekend than me!

muppetgirl · 11/09/2010 19:57

Hi all

BB4 - hope your days back at work are okay and being in uniform isn't as scarey as you think. I think 2 hrs into it you'll feel you've never had any time out Wink Dh wishes you good luck too!

Just to say we met up with BB4 and her lovely family and had a wonderful day wth them, time in the pool a gorgeous home cooked meal and time getting to know each other face to face. We're really sorry we had to go so early but we're over again the year after next and we'll book some proper time without a family wedding to negotiate Smile

The wedding was lovely after all my worrying my brother is very happy. I had a teary chat with him saying I missed him but glad he had found someone that makes him happy. Ollie loved Canada, loved Niagra but hated the boat 'Maid of the mist' I threw up on the revolving restaurant in a bin -classy chick - but was fine afterwards. Went to see the teracotta soldiers Ollie got very sarcastic as he didn't get them. 'Oh look, it's another stone man...can we go and see the dinosaurs now???'

Glad to be home, the rest of the holiday was quite busy too.

I can't believ how may are pregnant on this thread!! Congrats to all I am, of course, envious Grin

Met up with the lovely NC, her chap and 2 lovelies in our local park-with-stately-home-in-it. I can't believe what a tour they were doing of the country and it's made me think I should get my arse in gear and not spend to much time worrying about things.

You all inspire me in so many different ways...

I have started a little enterprise. If anyone would like to road test my website and give me some feedback I would really appreciate it. I have been using facebook but this is a real (shakes) website that my SIL has been working on.

it's littlewhitecottage.co.uk
the bunting section is finished apart from a couple of payment issues but have a look and see what you think. Is it easy to use? Are there things I've missed.

Loving doing it so far and have a school Christmas fair and a dog skool open day with craft stalls booked. We'll see how it all pans out.

Off to watch X factor now
love to all
xx
