Miamla I didn't want to put any pressure on you but I'm hoping this will be YOUR birth announcement thread.

thanks TS

we shall see... Pea may well have other ideas!

cyteen · 05/08/2010 07:16

New thread, new baby (unless we all talk too much )

GladioliBuckets · 05/08/2010 07:36

Mornin hunnypies.

Ah fond memories of the list. I just remembered being insanely jealous when we got the message that CeCe was being kept in for CSection on the Friday as mine wasn't booked til the Tuesday. Luckily Kurt started moving by himself on the Saturday night and was out in 24hrs.

Just thinking how lucky Cyteen, QoD and Sambo's boys are - they'll get 5 terms of free pre-school. Might drive you guys mad not having the all day free childcare but boys are supposed to do much better when they start school later.

Went for sauna, aquarobics then Greek dinner out last night, was great.

luckoftheirish · 05/08/2010 08:03

Great thread TS..

Morning all

hotterpotter · 05/08/2010 08:56

Hello all

Car is nearly packed, DC settling down to watch Toy Story 2 for the fifth time this week () so we are nearly ready for off. Only trouble is that I pinged my back yesterday so am waddling and ouching rather like I was 2 years ago! Am dosing up on ibuprofen and hoping the drive to Norwich doesn't cripple me...

Miamla please don't have your baby until next Wednesday at the earliest, thanks

Cyteen I also recommend chucking a sicky taking the day off on Friday to meet lwfh, she's ace

MrsMiamla · 05/08/2010 09:01

its not me you need to talk to about arrival dates but I'll see what I can do

Her mattress isn't arriving til Tuesday so that's an added incentive for her to stay put for a few days

although saying that, the current song going round my head is 'how low can you go'

have a fab time hots, hope you don't get too wet!

oh and i had a lightbulb moment with DS this morning 'ba-ba' is apparently 'peppa &^%$ pig'

MrsMiamla · 05/08/2010 09:02

sorry lorti, missed you there...morning

oopsandbabycoconuts · 05/08/2010 09:22

Thanks for new thread TS.

HP - drive safely, take care of your back and most importantly have a fantastic trip.

Cyteen - you ar looking a bit peaky, you okay? I think you need a day in bed tomorrow.

Helloo Crispy, Miamla and GB

oopsandbabycoconuts · 05/08/2010 09:23

Morning Loti - x posted that short message took 45 minute to get posted!

springaporesling · 05/08/2010 09:31

Have a fab time Hots

M&D got back on Monday night and already driving me mad - 4 more weeks of this! I came home from work yesterday to find Mum reading my potty training book. I couldn't be bothered getting into a discussion about it so just said 'That'll be a useful read for you then'. I did point it out later that we would be waiting until after they have left to even contemplate it given that he didn't go for 4 days when they first arrived and yet was fine once they went on their mini-break.

Anyway enough of my rambling. I invited a fair few people to DS party thinking most would be on hols as it is a long weekend for us - Singapore's birthday on Monday but it seems to have backfired and now lots of people coming...Oh well nevermind. M&D were very put out at missing DS 1st Birthday so thought we had to do something.

Buckets I can never really work it out does that mean ours will go to school next year ?! I really need to get DS on a list somewhere here as it looks like we'll still be here when he starts school. As we'll be paying for it whatever I'm tempted to leave it a bit longer and keep him at nursery/pre-school. I don't suppose it will do him any harm and might as you say be better for him.

hotterpotter · 05/08/2010 10:34

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

dizzydixies · 05/08/2010 10:44

bye hots have a lovely time.

spring - deep breaths deep breaths

TS - lovely new thread

dealing with mood swings today, not good, not good at all

longwayfromhome · 05/08/2010 11:56

Oh dizzy lots of thoughts for you. What's up?

HP have a lovely holiday

MiamlaPea looking forward to meeting you soon

DS is almost the oldest in his year where we live in foreign too. I think that I'm pleased about this as well - it gives him a chance to catch up a bit and to really make the most of school and nursery when he does start.

springaporesingalong - yes I find it much easier for relationships with my parents when I am staying with them (lovely at the moment) but it is kind of easier with the kids when we are at home as I know where they are and how things work for them, without having to guess.

Really enjoying my parents house and garden, though!

CapitanCaveman Hurrah! 1pm, somewhere near the woodland play park bit. 5.20 parking (it's national trust) but then wandering around the park is free. Bring a picnic and I'm meeting another friend there too. I'll send you my mobile via FB

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/08/2010 11:56

Just tagging to keep up

Cyteen - sickie

Spring - Sept 2012 under English system

Hots - happy hols

Dizzy {{{{{hugs}}}} and a free chinese & bottle of wine for later

QueenofDreams · 05/08/2010 11:58

Morning everyone

Hope all ok. Not much going on here. Missed bounce & Rhyme because S decided to give me a lie in! Local barnardos shop is looking for p/t staff so am going to apply. Looking forward to free nursery for S I have to say. although I don't know exactly how it works, or how much time is free.

dizz hope you're feeling a bit better?

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/08/2010 12:00

QoD free from term after their 3rd birthday

Hi Longway, glad hols are good (albeit hectic)

TwilightSurfer · 05/08/2010 12:50

Dizzy (((hug))) I might be moodwise right there with you today.

Pondering flights to Florida to begin getting over this crap fear I have. We have a direct flight to Disney (orlando). It's an hour and a half flight. The airport here would be a breeze but the Orlando airport would be slightly stressing. Am I the only silly cookie here that doesn't fly?

R had her 1st chicken pox vaccine on Monday. I'm watching a waiting for a post vaccine problem. So far all is well. However, dd1, has a small earache. I attempted to bulldoze the mountain of wax out of her ears last night. Cue her whining the entire time. Not sure it did any good. How does all that crap get in there and why isn't there an easy way to GET IT OUT! It did make me understand why she been so LOUD lately. The girl can't hear herself talk.
