The entire world's movers and shakers, swindlers and fakers, public money piss-takers will be watching in trepidation at what Trump will do to them. The entire world's great and the good, high and the mighty, shifty and flighty will be supporting Hillary. Will you be with the people supporting Trump?

Have you got the ice cream, the chocolate, the biscuits and the matchsticks to keep the eyelids open ready?

As a warm-up, here is Sky News's 30 minute documentary shown last night

"Trump. Could it really happen?"

ooops, did I say "Donald" and "Truth" in the same sentence?

Obviously a mistake.

'So the Trump camp is studiously refusing to say anything about the tax dodge.'

On the contrary, the Trump camp has hit back immediately.

“The reality is he’s a genius,” former New York mayor and Trump supporter Rudy Guiliani told NBC. “He did something we admire in America: he came back.” New Jersey governor Chris Christie also told Fox News Sunday the story was “very good” for the candidate as it showed “the genius of Donald Trump”.

Either he is making losses OR he is avoiding paying the tax he should - either way, it's not good, is it?

speakergirl · 02/10/2016 20:12

I love how Claig, a Trump supporter no less, stays calm when attacked from every angle daily. Yet those that are anti-Trump get riled up at the smallest thing

Kaija · 02/10/2016 20:19

Oh ffs speakergirl. Do you really have no idea what is at stake here?

Lweji · 02/10/2016 20:21

Yes, he's a genius who escaped with his personal fortune untouched while people lost jobs and suppliers lost payments.

You have to wonder how much he owes the, erm, Establishment (banks and investors) to have been able to keep afloat. And how many favours they will be cashing in.

Do you? How strange since it means precisely nothing. But whatever floats your boat. I presume you - like Claig - don't actually have a vote in the US elections or, indeed, any idea what life is like in the US.

Having said that I do admire Claig's robo-like ability to ignore reality. Very interesting. It is kind of wasted on an internet forum discussion that will have no effect whatsoever on the election.

Claig, do you ever think you could be using your amazing powers of computer-like sticking to the message to more effect elsewhere ... like in the US?

claig · 02/10/2016 22:45

No, I am happy in the UK.

Heat Street has said that Wikileaks has cancelled their Tuesday announcement.

‘October Surprise’ Thwarted? Wikileaks Cancels Highly Anticipated Tuesday Announcement Due to ‘Security Concerns’
...
The political provocateur and bomb-thrower Roger Stone, a fervent Donald Trump supporter, predicted Sunday morning that Wikileaks’ revelations would doom Clinton’s campaign.

It’s unclear if Stone was aware that Wikileaks, according to NBC News, has canceled their Tuesday announcement."

I wonder which bot is on tonight Claig - shift change? Kidbots on holiday? No Kool aid tonight then?

News re cancellation was out some time ago btw. Rumours that maybe Ecuador would prefer to have good S American relationships and that Assange could kip on the streets very soon (or into the loving arms of our police)

How will that one be spun? Better than not only paying no taxes but making more money after screwing contractors and losing a billion...in the 90's

That Don the Con - he's just an average working guy....with a gold toilet. and an arse wiper......

"Never Mind: Wikileaks Cancels Big Clinton-Related Announcement Amid Security Concerns

Earlier today, we reported that Stone had tweeted something about Hillary Clinton‘s inevitable demise at the hands of Wikileaks. It mentioned that the big shocker was coming Wednesday, but we are hearing now that a big announcement planned for Tuesday has been canceled."

Latest news is that it is cancelled.

They had jack nothing to release. Also Assange has no credibility and Ecuador is getting worried

I thought you could join the dots. Clearly not. It must be that Orange aura from the Donalds odd face - it's mesmerising

Canyouforgiveher · 02/10/2016 23:02

No, I am happy in the UK.

I know you are. Which is why those of us who are happy in the US really don't give a flying fuck about your opinions.

I only chime in when it gets amusing.

claig · 02/10/2016 23:05

'I only chime in when it gets amusing.'

Then why did you take so long? There were some corkers earlier on.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/10/2016 23:28

It's interesting, isn't it. This forum has no influence in the US for sure, but then it's not really just about the US - this quasi-fascist (maybe now it's time to just say fascist) narrative is building up all over. So we have this alignment between Trump, UKIP and nationalist parties across Europe, all of whom are united both in their support for Putin (in some cases funded by Putin), and in encouraging resentment of immigrants and of those empty signifiers "the elites" and "the establishment", while promising to make their respective countries "great again".

The puzzle is the number of people apparently willing to buy into this narrative in which the tax dodging millionaires and billionaires at the head of these movements are somehow the saviours of the people, while university lecturers, scientists, economists, writers etc are the anti-democratic enemy, as if merely by virtue of their education.

It's clever, nasty stuff.

claig · 02/10/2016 23:34

Trump invited Farage to speak at one of his rallies and Stephen Bannon, chief at Breitbart, supported Brexit. It is because they all believe in national sovereignty and democracy.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/10/2016 23:39

No, it's because they are all fascists.

SenecaFalls · 03/10/2016 00:28

Last night he suggested that Hillary has been unfaithful in her marriage and he also mocked and imitated her near collapse when she had pneumonia. He really is truly vile.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 03/10/2016 00:43

He's hardly in a position to take the moral high ground about marital infidelity.

Roussette · 03/10/2016 08:19

Believing in 'national sovereignty' = getting those pesky muslims and mexicans out the country. Bit like the dreadful racist reactions after the Brexit results.

Let's hope the pressure increases on the tax question. This will dominate hopefully and see him off. It is said somewhere that in the states he is trying to win over, the workers there have paid more tax than billionnaire Trump. In the UK this disgusting revelation would be enough to sink any candidate. In the US I think it means Trump will kick out because that's what he does when he's questioned. He has been ranting at a rally over the weekend, I think he's losing the plot and the momentum of that will build.

Kaija · 03/10/2016 19:39

Couldn't put it better than David Sedaris:

Trump vs Clinton. Biggest debate in world history 2am tomorrow. Will you be there?
Kaija · 03/10/2016 22:05

Although Trump's foreign policy statement today was very impressive. Quite Joycean.

Lweji · 03/10/2016 22:56

I'd be quite interested in how the US would prepare to attack Mosul without anyone suspecting it.

I suspect Trump would just say "we're not going to attack you. We love you. We think you're great. The best. The troops we are gathering and sending your way are just medical aid." And expect the enemy to believe him like his fans do.

Or:
To the generals: "We'll surprise them. Where's that red button?"

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 04/10/2016 00:59

Maybe if Trump becomes president they'll give him a dummy red button to play with. Anything to keep him away from the real one.

Roussette · 04/10/2016 07:02

Did he really say that or is it a spoof?!

If it's him, my god, he talks like a slightly ignorant teenager
