The entire world's movers and shakers, swindlers and fakers, public money piss-takers will be watching in trepidation at what Trump will do to them. The entire world's great and the good, high and the mighty, shifty and flighty will be supporting Hillary. Will you be with the people supporting Trump?

Have you got the ice cream, the chocolate, the biscuits and the matchsticks to keep the eyelids open ready?

As a warm-up, here is Sky News's 30 minute documentary shown last night

"Trump. Could it really happen?"

Trump looks bad just by opening his mouth.

If the microphone didn't work, they'd have been doing him a favour.

WinchesterWoman · 01/10/2016 19:00

Uh huh. So fair means or foul? Not so democratic mmmm.

Lweji · 01/10/2016 19:23

WinchesterWoman

Grin

All is fair in Trump and war. Wink

(do you seriously think I'd support fiddling with a candidate's microphone?)

WinchesterWoman · 01/10/2016 19:52

Actually I did for a minute there! I maligned you

"The Political Elite Fights Trump -- And They're Still Not Winning

Elites vs. Trump -- and the elites haven't won yet

In a general election unlike any we've covered before, this fact stands out: Almost every elite institution in America is united (or mostly united) against Donald Trump.
...
Twilight of the Elites?

In short, elites and elite opinion are united against Trump. But guess what: Trump is still in the ball game. So what's going on?
...
And while he's not winning the presidential campaign, you could argue Trump is winning the message. "

An interesting Keiser Report episode where Stacey And Max are in the States in North Carolina whic hwas supposed to go to Clinton but which they say is now neck and neck. Driving around, Stacey says she has seen not a single Hillary sticker.

At the 12.20 point in the stream, Max has a banker on and he says that Hillary represents the status quo and is the Establisment candidate and Trump represenst a repudiation of the postwar order pretty much across the board - he's not interested in free trade, he's not intersted in cosy relationships with foreign despots ... a deep change and if it wasn't Donad Trump it would be someone else, he is riding the Brexit wave"

What is fascinating is that the Left (the Democrats) is with the Establishment, just as it was with Tony Blair. Trump represenst a real reckoning for the crooks at the top and Corbyn is slightly similar.

Well, the well known Democrat official media, Fox News has released a more accurate poll of who won the debate.

www.aol.com/article/news/2016/10/01/fox-news-poll-confirms-hillary-clinton-won-the-debate-in-a-land/21484417/

And, based on that, Donald... you're fired.

"Host Sean Hannity, a vehement Trump supporter, has continued to cite such polls [online, unscientific] despite the memo"

"Respondents from at least five other polls — from CNN/ORC, Politico/Morning Consult, NBC/SurveyMonkey, Public Policy Polling, and Gallup — have all declared Clinton the winner. Gallup found Clinton's perceived debate win to be among the largest in modern campaign history."

'Gallup found Clinton's perceived debate win to be among the largest in modern campaign history'

Grin They must be having a laugh. How stupid do they think people are?

"Will the election be 'rigged'? Half of Trump supporters don't trust vote count, poll shows"

www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2016/10/will_the_election_be_rigged_ha.html

Everybody understands the elite and their game, everybody knows their fear of Trump, everybody knows that their whizzkids have instructed the media, their politicians and Hillary to all use the same phrase "Trump is unfit".

As Stacey Herbert said in the Keiser Report, the perception is that there is not much support for either candidate. But investors are not being given the real information on which to make their judgements.

The reality is that Trump's rallies are much larger than Hillary's and Trump won all the online polls after the debate except the CNN one that the BBC quoted which was based on 500 people, just as Corbyn's rallies were much larger than Owen Smith's and just as the Corbynistas outnumbered Owen Smith's supporters on social media.

I don't think you have to go to a 'Rally' to vote.

Roussette · 01/10/2016 22:22

I think we need a claig bingo.

The Establishment
Deplorables
Stump for Trump
Alleged global warming

How stupid do they think people are?

Based on the group that intends to vote for Trump?
I'd say very.

'vs a poll of registered US voters'

500 voters, pre-screened.

Online polls of hundreds of thousands to over a million. It is not scientific but you would expect Hillary to have as many online supporters as Trump if what the media is telling us is correct that she is ahead of Trump in the polls.

They must be having a laugh. How stupid do they think people are?

I don't know. How stupid does Trump think people are when he keeps trying to brush off his gaffes and bigotry as "only joking"?

PigletJohn · 01/10/2016 23:31

"It is not scientific but you would expect Hillary to have as many online supporters as Trump if what the media is telling us is correct that she is ahead of Trump in the polls"

I don't understand your logic there.

If you mean one of those Trumpian online polls where anybody can vote as often, and under as many false names as they want, then you are assuming that if everybody cheats as much as everyone else, it must be fair and accurate.

claig · 01/10/2016 23:42

'If you mean one of those Trumpian online polls'

No, newspaper online polls - Time Magazine, CBS, Drudge Report etc

If it is true that Hillary has lots of young supporters (when we are told by the media that Trump has mainly older non-college educated) why does Trump win the online newspaper polls?

OP posts:
LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 01/10/2016 23:46

Because Trump's supporters think online polls actually matter, hence are prepared to sit there for hours voting. Other people have more sense.

claig · 02/10/2016 00:00

'hence are prepared to sit there for hours voting'

It is true that Trump fans are energised, even the mainstream media have had to admit that.

As the Sky video report in the OP says

"Trump's diehard fans are fired up and ready to go. They are his best hope. If enough of them turn out to vote, he could make it"

Trump fans like Lucy Cesar-Jedacek are the backbone of the Trump movement, something that Hillary can only dream of.

"Lucy Cesar-Jedacek walked into the Horry County Republican Party headquarters on Monday wearing a T-shirt summarizing her political views.

The shirt read: “Proud member of the basket of deplorables,” referring to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s comments about supporters of Republican Donald Trump.

Cesar-Jedacek, 73, is one of many Horry County residents who support Trump."

www.thestate.com/news/politics-government/article105385246.html

Only a Trump fan can show the dedication that Lucy embodies.

Why are you doing this Claig? Very few mumsnetters will have a vote in the us election. Why would you spend most of every day and night propagandising on here for this racist, lying, incoherent sack of piss?

claig · 02/10/2016 00:14

Because it is a huge world event, the most important election on the planet and I think it is interesting, entertaining and amusing too. That is why this thread and the Corbyn one have over 600 posts because some people are interested in those things. If you are not interested in world politics and the biggest election on earth, then go and start a thread on Blair.

OP posts:
Kaija · 02/10/2016 00:19

Claig, you do not post like someone who is "interested". I see no questioning or debate coming from your corner. Your posts are nothing more than propaganda.

claig · 02/10/2016 00:22

'I see no questioning or debate coming from your corner'

Then try rereading the thread. If you aren't interested in the election, then don't read this thread, go and read one of the thousands of others. My views aren't "propaganda", they are my views. If you're not open to different views, then join another thread.

By "Trumpian Poll" I mean a falsified or made up one. Like Donald's Narnia poll, where he claimed to have won a poll that didn't exist.

Stephen Colbert on Tuesday examined Donald Trump’s response to his first presidential debate with Hillary Clinton. Pundits overwhelmingly determined the Republican presidential nominee lost the debate, while Trump touted several online polls — 70 of which, it turns out, were manipulated by 4chan users — showing he’d won.

Trump bragged during a call-in interview to “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday about winning a CBS News post-debate poll that wasn’t run.

What sort of bare-faced fraudster claims to have won an imaginary poll?
www.salon.com/2016/09/28/stephen-colbert-to-trump-touting-victory-in-non-existent-cbs-news-poll-what-are-the-odds-the-one-poll-you-won-doesnt-exist/

Kaija · 02/10/2016 00:33

I've read it. No engagement, just the same old foghorn blaring out the same old message day and night.

claig · 02/10/2016 00:40

Go elsewhere if you don't like it. Start your own thread. There is no need to read this one if you don't like it.
