A village of 400 people in Oxfordshire, the government want to house 1200 migrants in an old RAF barracks nearby. No consultation and no infrastructure to support.
Before anyone accuses me of being racist, my family make up negates that.

geographically, it's one council ward but very heavily populated due to lots of HMOs, both official and unofficial, the house next door to me, a two up two down had about 10 people there at one time. There are also a few hostels, one is purpose built and the other is a large house that has been converted. So a lot of people, some of whom have multiple issues and needs all sharing a small space. There used to be a crack house over the road from me and near the local nursery but it was boarded up after residents campaigned to have it closed down.

Piddington should take their share of asylum seekers like anywhere else and their share would probably be 1 man not 1250!

There is plenty of evidence if you want to see it (which I don't imagine you do). Look at Swedish statistics when they were kept and published. Look up who was responsible for gang rapes. Look up why bombing people's private houses became a thing. Or stick your head back in the sand - up to you.

Are there 3.5 asylum seekers for every local where you live too then? Like there will be in Piddlington?

Since the Cardiff choir boy debacle they don’t want to collate stats, what stats we have and from the rest of Europe are terrifying - we need to smell the coffee and insist on stats and also make sure the barracks are secure, just because they’ve been given leave to remain doesn’t mean they’re from Manchester, Birmingham, Piddington and the like. And can anyone explain why Afghans are some of the worst offenders?

Asylum seekers represent 0.14% of the UK population, Piddington's fair share is 0.5 of a person. 1250 men is more than the City of Manchester's fair share.

There are 3.5 times as many per person in my local area than there are in the wider Piddington area. It wasn't a problem until it affected them directly.

And of course the gvt will gratefully seize this as a face saving way to back down -sadly the inner city citizens who are worst affected don’t have that get-out.

About 25% of my street is HMOs. Perhaps if the residents of Piddington don’t want them housed in the barracks, Clearsprings or similar could buy up a quarter of the properties there and convert them into HMOs instead? They’re raking it in from housing these people so could surely afford it.

I don't know why people keep talking about 'statistics' from countries like Denmark or Sweden when we are talking about the UK here. As far as I am aware there is no data to suggest that asylum seekers are any more of a danger to people than your average British citizen. Please stop playing into Russia's hands as they desperately attempt to divide the wonderful multicultural unity that has made Britain strong for the past 30 years.

Therefore people can only go on the data from other european counties.

This shows some striking statistical facts about first and second generation migrant men from certain counties. We can ignore these facts until the population of men from tbose counties increases like it is going to do or deal witb tbe issue head on.

I don't think sticking your head in the sand about this issue until the goverment finally decide to gather and publish UK data is a good long term tactic when it comes to these matters

We seem to be living in a parallel universe - one where we see rapes and murders and grooming every day on our feeds from these illegals and one where liberals are in complete denial - I want it to stop!

They believe in equal opportunity for global rapists and murderers in Britain, they don't deny that at all. As far as they are concerned it's an equality duty to provide victims in order to have equal representation.
