the last day for isa is the 5th of april, end of the financial year.

alle01 · 30/03/2010 20:15

thanks, myjobismum, i am going to try that, local council gives them up for next to nothing, and changes sizes whentaking so many things baby grows, and i get a bit of homevisits for support as well....and if i don't like it i can always give them back and try something else,...

octothechildherder · 30/03/2010 22:32

Babybots · 31/03/2010 09:04

Oh my gosh the thought of Ds falling down the stairs haunts me! Ive got a gate at the top and bottom. Ive worked out the only way to have a shower is to take him in with me!

Bagpuss i think ive just added you on FB? lol Octo's recommended you - had to think who it was!

Ive been naughty and pinched 2 more Little Lamb Micrfibre from my stock for nights i am stunned at how well they work with fleece!!

Right Ive got a load of things to do this morning before we head off to Octos to collect Wetbags and Lunch! Need to get some yummy chocolate biscuits to take... Put the kettle on Octo!

Octo had found me lots of friends - until yesterday I was friendless lol . Not sure who all of you are although I recognise some . I so cannot work facebook out and as you may have all guessed, I only joined recently . Babybots, yes it is me - pic is of the dts (rather predictably).

Shame about UD pockets myjob - what about some more issy bears to ease the pain?

Am not doing well with my ittiless stash - keep looking at them on various sites . Babybots, I feel your pain with the crunchy ittis.

DT1's rash is still coming and going . I think it might be relaated to the type of nappy she wears - bamboo seems to be best with cotton second and microfibre seems to be the culprit in making it worse. Having said that she did OK in the BG's yesterday although they also have hemp boosters in them. Not sure what to make of it but is very irritating (for us both).

Hope you all have lovely days. Babybots, Octo and Jabula hope you have a nice lunch and plenty of fluffy chat .

octothechildherder · 31/03/2010 11:06

Morning - they will be here in a minute so quick hello - Bagpuss - glad to have found you some friends!! You should have fluffy post today - maybe.

Have been busy already - boys to school, into Bath, went to Bank, waitrose, picked up boots which had been resoled and got my watch changed lol - then home, shop, post office, peeled pots for lunch and replied to emails ... phew!!!!

DH home tonight - yeah!

bagpuss · 31/03/2010 12:00

OK, Octo, so either you have some sort of time travelling device or you are super human - how are you doing all these things by 11.00 am? You are making me feel very lazy .

The lovely bag, wipes and soap are here (just). They are totally gorgeous and I'm so glad I picked the wetbag pattern now as it really is very very nice and perfect for Easter .

lucky you ladies, up and running early; i am 36 weeks pregnant and i can't manage to wake up before noon, get out of bed before one,...nad then it's dark and the day is gone

bagpuss · 31/03/2010 15:01

Myjob, I really don't think I can justify them esp when dh has said he doesn't think it is a good idea - a shame as they are so pretty and slim - its the slimness I miss most really. But, hey they are only nappies and after all there are plenty of others which I can try . I will live I think lol.

Why not order something similar to the UD from WN? They have the same minkee fabrics don't they? I am finding it quite fortunate that the dts don't suit side snap nappies otherwise there would be a whole style extra to choose from!

Alle, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you - there will be plenty of chances for early wake ups when your baby gets here, take the opportunity while you can!

octothechildherder · 31/03/2010 15:04

alle01 - that sounds heavenly

All gone now - back to get the boys!

swampster · 31/03/2010 17:49

Hello, anyone miss me?

I have moved, new house is lovely but DS3 is still in despicables and I have a mountain of laundry. We have inherited a tumble dryer but it doesn't work.

I was given a Gro-Baby yesterday - yum!

swampster · 31/03/2010 17:50

Come back soon, mumface!

4andnotout · 31/03/2010 17:52

Swampy I have missed you lots and lots!! How are the swamplings? Are you all settled in the new house? I'm very of new fluff! Especially a grobaby!

bagpuss · 31/03/2010 19:27

Oh no mumface .

I missed you swampster! Esp when we shared our stash lists on the last thread .

4, just think of the lovely freshly painted walls. I think I would even give up a nappy or two to have the hallway decorated here .

any advise on cot bedding, do i use the bumper for a new born? can he use a sleep bag? he's going to be born in april so i thought i wouldn't need it, but look at the weather,???

4andnotout · 31/03/2010 21:09

Personally i used 2 flatsheets and blankets on my newborns but im very old fashioned I think sleeping bags are only ok if the head cannot slip through the neck hole. I used bumpers on cots but at the top end and slept the baby feet to foot at the bottom so no risk of suffocation.
