Hi ellielou - thanks

See that new WN fabric - the blue circle Ole - I have some gollygee stuff coming in that soon - it is gorgeous. If Ernie was still in nappies I would def have to have one

Hi all! Just checking in as no time to stop.

Have overloaded my parents house with piles of preloved nappies that stupid idiots haven't paid for when they said they would! Grrrr.

Hope everybody is well and don't miss me too much

Elouise has decided she now uses the toilet before bed and first thing in the morning.

Octothebaglady · 29/03/2010 16:05

lol myjob and babybots

Jenny - I would have given up by now and given them away - you are very determined lol

JennyPenny23 · 29/03/2010 16:08

Thing is octo - its hundreds of £ worth of nappies! And we want the money to help with the move! They are selling, just slowly because of the people that keep letting me down! Have to say, myjob has been fantastic and taken a box of bits for me and is selling some for me.

Babybots · 29/03/2010 16:45

lol lol myjob!

Octothebaglady · 29/03/2010 17:29

Good work myjob! What about ebay for the new ones Jenny?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 29/03/2010 17:42

seems I've not been around for a while and a new thread is started! So, hello to everyone here & making sure I'm bookmarking this thread!

alle01 · 29/03/2010 17:55

i am thinking of using prefold washable nappies, anybody using them? how many you go through in a day for a newborn? will they look bigger than my baby?

Octothebaglady · 29/03/2010 18:09

alle01 - I am not a prefold fan - there are so many other much better nappies out there - shaped nappies whether two parter (with cover) or pocket/all in one are more effective. THere are some very good makes out there including bumgenius, totsbots, lollipop, fuzzi bunz, bambinex, weenotions - could go on and on really. Would encourage you to get some more ideas before commiting to prefolds. THere are some really good website including Babybots, Jabula, Littlepants, cheeks and cherries, bumfluff nappies, nappyzone - all of the are mumsnetters too.

alle01 · 29/03/2010 18:23

the thing is i can get those for practically free for all the time baby needs them,... so, i was wondering are they worth a try?

Octothebaglady · 29/03/2010 19:06

Yes - but be conscious of the fact that if they have bambino mio covers they may get leaky - if they do, try some motherease rikkis instead. Get some fleece liners too or make your own as this will keep the bottom area dry.

Do stay around and chat with us though - we love new nappy addicts!

alle01 · 29/03/2010 19:19

i am a first time mum, so i do appreciate any advise

Octothebaglady · 29/03/2010 19:23

ace - hang around lol to find out what fluff the addicts love!

Ariela · 30/03/2010 00:01

Alle01: re the prefolds, so long as you wrap them round and fasten them with a Nappi Nippa they will be good on containment.

Octothebaglady · 30/03/2010 08:04

Good point Ariela - forgot about nippas.
