I've got this new changing bag on the way

OP posts:
4andnotout · 03/08/2010 11:17

Ooh thats lovely!! I have too many change bags at the moment, a hello kitty one to match my Hello Kitty footmuff, a paul frank one to match my paul frank liner and an alexander henry one to match my A.H skulls liner and hangtight, so tempted to buy another tho!!

For those on fb who know about my little win it would seem i have already spent it on a bike for dp My mum and sister are at Norjam 2010 and have been offered week old top of the range mountain bikes for £50 so i said to get dp one so we can take all of the kids out for bike rides, i already have a trailer for the back of my bike and dd's 1 and dd2 can ride theirs. Ive told dp that im recouping my £60 back from next weeks money though as i always pay the 49 club so its my winnings!

bagpuss · 03/08/2010 13:37

Mumface, hope things are continuing to improve for your cousin.

4, well done on your win - I hope you buy something nice with it. Good luck with dd4's bloods too.

Tree, hope your shirts turn up.

Daisy, hope the cloth works out well for you this time.

No news here - just popping in to say hi really.

Hi bagpuss. Nice to see you.

4 - crp is an infection/inflamation response test. TTgA is a Celiacs Disease screen, You are right TFT, thyroid function tests. They all seem sensible and sound, given that she is in the few numbers of children this small. When they are normal you can be discharged or put on a very infrequent check up

Our appointment for the morning to have dd2's cast off has just been cancelled No further appointment as yet Can't be helped I guess. Poor dd2 though!

Have listed my med Ittis, just 2, here in case they sell. If not will put them on CNT. I tool theri prices as a guide, I hope they aren't too much. It's the postage isn't it?

got a yellow submarine liner Thanks for that heads-up, was it you 4?

Daisy - what happened about that job? Or s that this Wed? WOuld it be 12 hours a day in daycare? Or 12 hours for one dday, or 12 hours over the week?

Mine don't see me for approx 48 hours straight, because of the shifts. That is from, say, Fri 1pm [when I head for pre-night sleep] to 3pm Sun, when I get up after my 2nd night. Or if days, say Fri 7am, to Sun 7am. It's very tough on them, especially DD1 who mises me. Even though I am grumpy
But then we have the rest of the week, and the money to hopefully put dh through uni and make a safer life for us. This time in 4 years......

mumface · 03/08/2010 18:50

It was me who sent out the Submarine invites I think 5 of us off mn altogether got one.

Hi everyone, just popping in to say a quick hello.

Am pregnant with DC2, and I've been trying to find all DS's old nappies. We seem to have lost A LOT and I don't have money to buy any new ones. Have major money problems at the moment, so new fluff is just not an option.

Has anyone used the Hip Hip Baby Real Easy's? I've seen them on Babykind and they look sooooo cute! Of course I can only fantasise due to aforementioned money problems.

Hope you're all doing ok - haven't posted here in ages!

mumface · 03/08/2010 19:04

Hi! congratulations on DC2. I have a real easy but it's a large and more like an xl it's massive. Didn't like the fit, couldn't get the waist small enough with the legs on large setting iyswim but it might have been my boys shape.

treedelivery · 03/08/2010 19:31

Hi Queenof dreams. Congratulations!!

But sorry to hear of money woes. TB are giving away a free tiny nappy to every baby born this summer [or this year?? - can't rememeber which].

ALso if you like totsbots, check on bargainbots on ebay

What are you short of, I'll hunt about for you I have some stuff knocking about.

treedelivery · 03/08/2010 19:32

Also these lovely people give away a free nappy every Tuesday.

4andnotout · 03/08/2010 20:24

Tree- Thank you for explaining it I'm feeling much better today it was the guilt that was getting to me, but my dad pointed out that all 4 eat the same diet and it's a good one and the others are all fine so I cannot be accused of neglect etc.

Mumface- Thanks for the link I got one too! I wonder why they wanted to know the gender?

mumface · 03/08/2010 20:29

Hope they are the nice funky ones that are £15 on the Mothercare website.

steph1512 · 03/08/2010 20:48

Hi everyone big congratualtions on the queen on the pregnancy.

Can i quickly quiz you all on coolababy.

I was orignally planning to put ds in full time cloth and leave dd (2.5) in disposies until potty trained.

But think i might put her in cloth too..getting ittis for ds so they wont be suitable so was thinking of getting 10coolababies as they are cheap and she hopefully wont be in nappies too much longer!

I have one which is huge on ds and fits dd but does get damp around the edges you can see it from the outside of the nappy..this may be known in the trade as wicking??? Im not an expert yet

Is this standard of coola or am i doing somthing wrong any expereinces very appreciated as hoping to order itti's and coolababies tonight

steph1512 · 03/08/2010 20:49

obviously didnt mean to typt on the twice in my first sentence

treedelivery · 03/08/2010 20:52

I got an email from them, gender wanted so they can send a gender specific one. I looked on their website and nearly asled for the airplanes one as it's so adorable. Decided that might be rude

Thank you mumface, I'm really chuffed

Don't feel bad 4. They aren't looking for neglect in any of these little kids they see, more failure to thrive for an undiagnosed condition. Neglected kids don't get taken to be weighed or to dr's that much I don't suppose SO they weren't looking at you with suspicion. They are also completely resigned to the fact that the vast majority of little kids will be just little kids, although apparently iron deficiency is actually very common in toddlers and youngsters. I was convinced dd1 would be iron deficient, but by some miracle she wasn't.

Poor dd2's appointment for the morning has been cancelled, so no pot removal for her. SHe will have to continue hopping along for now

mumface · 03/08/2010 21:05

Steph what inserts are you using in the Coolababies. I used them on Lewis for about 6 months at that age and found the microfibre one with an Easypeasy hemp underneath was best. They would last 3-4 hours on him without wicking.

OP posts:
steph1512 · 03/08/2010 21:08

I have just been using the two provided ones..and to be fair it was on a good 3hours not sure when the wicking started.

She doesnt wee often so when she does it is probably big!

I was planning to order from babybots and order little lambs bamboo boosters to add in with the microfibre???

treedelivery · 03/08/2010 21:12

Some cheap hemp ones at Jabula nappies.

I was a bit unsure of these, they are narrow. But actually they work really well, almost like an Itti mini booster. So a very very absorbant strip down the middle of your nappy. I have used them in Ittis, they snap on where the itti mini booster shoudl and fit fine.

Sure the littlelambs would be great too.

steph1512 · 03/08/2010 21:35

tree they look good and a bonus as they fit itti's but thin ill go for the little lambs..basically to save pennies as my order will qualify for free delivery..and im hoping they will be suitable boosters for bumG and coolababy (crossing my fingers they will..as i havent seen either in real life yet )

And so far..my ds had been lasting really well in the itti with the standard snap in..he was soaked in the other nappies i tried so im impressed..snap in does seem slow drying though

LacksDaisies · 03/08/2010 21:38

quick wave; meant to be swotting for interview, but instead am drinking wine and adding frills to very girly boardies Never done frilly stuff before; tis very satisfying!

tree, interview is tomorrow....job is 1.5 hrs rusj=h hour commute away, so kids in daycare (or school/daycare combo) for 12 hours a DAY. They will hate me won't they?

hello queenie; congrats on your forthcoming arrival, but on the nappy loss.

I missed out on the liner by about 16 Could do with another liner as I currently only have one; have two P&T cocoons, but the fleece is a bit warm for summer use!!

steph1512 · 03/08/2010 21:49

treedelivery · 03/08/2010 21:52
