soon: Thanks for the tip about Upsy Daisy's night nappies - been looking at them too - and if I omit the extra booster, price doesn't seem quite so bad. The soy french terry sounds good too - quite tempting! Just sent her a message to see how long a simple order will take!

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 13:33

Soy French terry - it sounds exotic!!

Who thinks Soon has ordered so many nappies she's forgotten about the bg's? Lucky woman!

Am about to embarass myself. Are the bbh onesize? If not what size? Sorry, I should know that really. . Haven't got passed the newborn nappy knowledge yet! DD2 still fine in a fleece lollipop and a wrap at night [with my mums booster of course!!]

mumoftoby · 18/03/2009 15:18

Sorry 4 I forgot to say sorry but I'll let someone else have the blue tots wrap but thank you anyway. I already have 2 of that style tots wrap in white and literally never use them or the 4 cotton tots I have!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 18/03/2009 16:12

ILMD - hope babybama situation will improve soon...

if you contact me at jadeflex at hotmail dot com, i'll PP you and send you my address, thanks

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 16:23

ILMD - Sounds like you have had awful stresses with babybama. Sounds like a dreadful dreadful allergy. Hope he improves on the special milk. Look on it as medicine and don't beat yourself up. x

my email frequentflyerplus at yahoo dot co dot uk for purchasing!

4 - what size wraps are they?

rusmum · 18/03/2009 16:47

still wanting bbh!!!!!!

4 will take tots wrap to try- if like may take 2!!

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 17:00

Sorry - we have been out enjoying the sun!

I haven't recived my easy peasy hemps yet - when did you order yours natty? I think mine was friday or sat so if they don't opporate at the weekend then they might not have processed till monday. Not that bothered now that I have ordered preloved ones as they will be ready to use first even if they arrive second due to prewashes. To be honest, I don't even wash preloved ones before use as long as they smell clean . So the day they come through will be the same day they are put in the WNNN for night time!

I had sort of forgotten about the BG . Have you all been discussing it on the thread? I will take a look in a sec. If anybody wants them though, please take them as we are by no means desperate for them as we have bought lots of onesize pockets! I got today: white GK anytimes (bit boring but hopefully still a good nappy), a gorgeous pink butterflies onesize nature babies pocket and another BG.

My BBOS was posted today so should arrive soon! Really looking forward to that.

Rachel - if UD get back to you as to how long a custom would take, could you let me know? They got back to me very quickly when I was asking about materials. I don't know why I didn't ask them! Should hopefully be able to use my minki pockets at night once I have the hemp inserts(with bamboo on top). So they should do until the Upsey Daisy arrives.

DD in wool for the first time today and it has been fab, no leaks or anything. Only thing is, I think it could do with being higher in the rise. So keeping an eye out for a bigger wool wrap/shorties/longies for her if anybody sees anything?

TheNatty · 18/03/2009 17:11

soon i ordered on friday, and they came today.
they have had two washes and drys today thanks to this fabby sun, i read somewhere not to wash them with any fleece nappies as the oil in them coats the fibres. (until it has had 8 washes) so been bunging them in with my normal washing.
will put them in again tonight and either hang or tumble tomorrow.
so thats 3 washes, reckon same again tomorrow, and i will prob use them then during the day for a few days till they have had 8.

im going to test them in the day first, see if i can get them to do an eight hour stretch or something b4 i risk the bedding

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 17:25

soon at the butterflies wrap - it's lovely.

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 18:28

I have never heard that about not washing hemp in with nappies - do you know where you read that? Bit worried as I have been washing my BBOS inserts with my nappies which are hemp and MF.

Taking DD swimming again tomorrow and will def be taking washables with me. It is just for friday where we will be out for the whole day and DD will be changed less frequently due to being in the buggy - thats what I worry about.

Does anybody know if Wool is ok when sitting in the buggy a lot of the day? DD wore wool today and definatly needed less changing and wasn't soaked when I did change her. Although she was in diffferent shaped nappies to usual so will have to give another go with MEOS for a proper judgement.

Got all our baby stuff out the loft today - for me to sort through when DD goes to sleep - There is LOADS! Hoping to find the shaped terry nappies (with sewn on velcro) that I used when DD was tiny. They were very basic and thin but for a newborn were abosolutly fine and very slim fitting. If I use those under wool I think it will work very well! I am just worried about my lovely newborn woolies getting covered in newborn BF poo! Have got a soaker and longies for newborn

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 18:30

Soon - are you sure you don't want any of the bg's in pink?

Think I will get more fuzzi's afterall, they do seem to make cracking wraps on my little 'un!

Longies foe a newborn. Now that sounds cute!

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 18:30

Tree - about butterflies! I got it preloved fairly cheap. It is a bit bobbled but still very nice. And because it is onesize I should be able to use it on both the girls till newborn is potty training!

TheNatty · 18/03/2009 19:03

swaddlebees website:

General Care Wash these inserts as you would your regular diapers. | How to prepare for first use We recommend washing and drying these inserts four times before using for the first time (that's wash - dry - wash - dry - wash - dry - wash - dry). Unbleached hemp has natural oils in it that need to be removed before it becomes absorbent. It will take five or more washings before it reaches its maximum absorbency. When washing these inserts the first few times do NOT wash it with your fleece pocket diapers (like Swaddlebees, bumGenius!, Happy Heiny's, or Fuzzi Bunz). The natural oils from the hemp will coat the fleece, making it repel. After your inserts have been fully primed you may wash them with all of your diapering products.

soon there u are. not the one i read but thats two places ive seen it now.

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 19:12

Oh no! Anybody know what to do if you have already done it? Have I ruined all my pockets?!?

Tree - I am sure about the BG. I have 3 pink ones now and a few other colours so not worried.

TheNatty · 18/03/2009 19:15

i bet if you washed them and dried them a load of times the oils would come out? extra rinses too.
i cant imagine why it wouldnt come out the fleece, i use oils in my washable wipes, and wash them with nappys and i dont have a problem.

anyone else??? the whole thing is a bit confusing

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 19:31

It is annoying that I have never heard it before! Otherwise I would be a bit more careful!

mumoftoby · 18/03/2009 20:24

I didn't know either and washed my ella's house stuff with other nappies and haven't noticed any lack of absorbency.
Also, the bumhugger is hemp that is fleece lined? Unless the Ella's House stuff arrives with the oils already removed?

TheNatty · 18/03/2009 20:25

its only unbleached hemp so maybe they treat it or bleach it cos they know it will be combined?

4andnotout · 18/03/2009 20:53

I washed all my hemp nappies and inserts in the general nappy wash with no problems

rusmum £4.50 posted then for a purple one? My pp is [email protected] and will post asap

tree the tots wraps are size 2's

ellielou02 · 18/03/2009 21:33
