rusmum they are really good, i didn't like the old style but these dont leak or wick at all. I have hundreds of wraps They keep overflowing out of the box

soon2befamilyof4 · 17/03/2009 22:29

Natty - what type of nappy? I don't think it is being scabby as long as the poo is all out. Quite sensible really as they nappy would have stayed on longer if she hadn't pooed so there isn't much difference?

TheNatty · 17/03/2009 22:42

a fleece lined pocket nappy. used flushable liners too, and a few of them obviously it leaked onto so i wouldnt, but two of the nappies changed were put on about 10 mins b4 she pooed, and she came and told me as soon as she had done it and was solid and lifted out leaving nothing on the nappy.

Yer I would stick it back on in that situation!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 17/03/2009 22:53

Don't suppose anyone here has a large Wee Notions Night Notions (or similar!) nappy they want to sell, do they? Really want to try one of them, but don't feel like paying the new price without trying first!

soon2befamilyof4 · 17/03/2009 22:58

Rachel - I have just bought one to try but got to wait till I have my new inserts before I can try it as mine didn't come with any (preloved). I don't see them around much preloved though which is why I settled for a boyish one for my DD! If I don't get on with it I will let you know.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 17/03/2009 23:07

soon: OK, thanks! In any case, you can let me know what you think of it! My little boy is quite a heavy wetter - I put him in a bumble, stuffed with half a bamboo terry square and a large microfibre insert. Works OK for 12 hours, but soooo sloppy around the legs - really don't like them! Anyway, I've put a few wants up for a WN or similar in various places, so will see if anyone responds!

4andnotout · 18/03/2009 07:58

Morning all

Dp changed dd3's bbh this morning and he was mostly impressed so i will have to get some more, if anyone see's any cheap can you point me in the right direction please.

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 09:09

DD is in wool for the first time! Got an Ellas house hemp nappy on with a bamboo booster in and hoping that will last a good few hours?

We are going to legoland for the day on friday and i can't decide if I should use disposables for the day or take washables? It is having to carry them around all day that makes me think of disposables. But then we will have the buggy to put them on. And also, we do seem more likly to have leaks in washables at the moment (only due to still not quite finding what is right for us). I guess I wouldn't have my hemp inserts ready by then which is a shame. Same goes for washable wipes - to take or not to take? Lol.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 18/03/2009 10:05

4andnotout I'm looking to sell my BBHs. If I'm honest, DS legs are too skinny...

So, I have about 5? One pink and 4 natural, I think.

Say £6.50 delivered?

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 10:13

Hello all,

There is no way can keep up with the nappy action here! Seems there is a load of purchasing going on! Exciting!

STILL getting red marks from motherease. Very as they are so effective and I have loads. Harriet has grown into pockets a bit better, bumgenius did realy well yesterday even though I was expecting leaks. Mind you I put so much in it it could have absorbed a wee from me!

Awaiting thirsties to see if it provides a wrap solution.

I'll try a BBH Ilovemydog! Baggsie pink

ilovemydogandMrObama · 18/03/2009 10:19

treedelivery ok, will send you the pink.... (CAT me your address?)

AnnVan · 18/03/2009 10:20

Ilovemydog could I nobble a bbh? I have two, but would like another one.
Thanks for the pop-in 4 DS christened it yesterday with a spectacular poo.

I have a question about liners - DS is now doing thicker, stickier poos. I love fleece liners but am thinking of getting some paper ones to make getting the poo of easier. Is it ok to use a paper liner on top of a fleece one? Will the fleece still keep his bum dry?

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 10:26

mn says you don't want me to cat you

How is babybama? The sapling still angst ridden with wind poor soul. Got an amby nest which she likes as long as its doing 50 mph.

Am I only person in world without a bbh? Will I need one as she gets bigger?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 18/03/2009 10:44

ILOVE - are the BBH bamboo? could I have 1, maybe 2 if no-one else wants them?

TheLadyEvenstar · 18/03/2009 11:05

Soon i only ever use washables when out or in same goes with wipes. I can't abide disposable anything atm lol.

treedelivery · 18/03/2009 11:17

Rachel - fluffypost has arrived! Thank you very very much. x

mumoftoby · 18/03/2009 11:18

Ilove I would like a natural one please if they aren't all gone now. My e-mail address is vikki_higham at yahoo dot co dot uk

thebluefoxategreensocks · 18/03/2009 11:48

treedelivery: Oh good! Thanks for letting me know! Hope it works well for you.

Can't find anyone who wants to sell me a Wee Notions Night Notion! Getting a bit desperate after doing a complete bed & child change at 2am last night! Can't really cope with that when I'm 38 weeks pregnant! LOL I'm thinking about just buying one new, but not sure how long it will take for order to be made...and then bad thing about new nappies (esp being bamboo/hemp!) is it will need lots of washing first.

TheNatty · 18/03/2009 11:55

soon my easypeasy came today did you get yours?
i got some preloved on ebay too, so they in for a wash before use tonight.

soon i used resuables out yesterday, was out the whole day from b4 lunch till about 9pm, and i used washable wipes aswell. if you have a bag to put them in (waterproof one) then its actually easier cos u can change LO anywhere you dont need a bin or changing room. i changed ellen in the shopping center yesterday cos the changing room was full and she was crying "sore bum, poo poo mummy" so i just changed her there and then.

i find washable wipes work well if u have a sandwich box or something similar to store them in, i believe huggies do a little travel box with a hinged lid you could use. prewet them too.

mumoftoby · 18/03/2009 12:03

I have got a couple of little huggies travel boxes from sainsburys when all the baby toiletries were half price. They are red and really slim - I take 2 of them for the full day worth of washable wipes.

TheNatty · 18/03/2009 12:05

tobysmum, do they still sell them? ive been using a cheap sandwich box lmao!

soon2befamilyof4 · 18/03/2009 12:09

Rachel - I am in the exact same situation with night nappied and changes etc! Except I am 35 weeks pregnant instead of 38! lol. I have ordered a brand new upsey daisy night nappy. They start from £10 and range up to £20 or so (Custom made). I have ordered French soy fabric which was the most expensive but apparently very soft, very absorbant, and doesn't need loads of prewashes like hemp and bamboo! I then paid the extra to get a night booster also in french soy. There are pockets though in the nappy (from what I understand) so if I need to add a hemp insert I can, although I have been told that the french soy is fine even on toddler power wees and up to potty training! Mine came to £15 plus about £1.50 postage but as long as it works it will be well worth it. They are very recomended on CNT. I only ordered a plain cream one as they were a lot cheaper than having a picture on the bum but there was the option there. Oh and apparently the french soy is slim fitting as well! Seems to have everything I need if it does work! Only thing I am worried about is DD has a big tummy and skinny legs so we have difficulty with fittings, but should be ok. I ordered applix rather than side snap as it is more adjustable. I have no idea how long it will take though?

ilovemydogandMrObama · 18/03/2009 12:13

Babybama is still quite ill . We spent a week at Children's Hospital. Unfortunately I've had to stop b/fing him as he has a severe dairy allergy amongst other things, and is on Nutramigen. What the Paediatricians cannot say is how long before all traces of dairy would be out of my system. He was so ill even breast feeding was making him sick and there's no way I want him to get that ill again and back on drip and gs tube.

Will see how many BBHs I have, but:

Treedelivery - 1 (pink)
Sunflower - 1 (natural)
MumofToby - 1 (natural)

ps: DS was in disposables whilst ill, so don't worry
