Evening all

Have been at my parents all day as it is my birthday eve today and as tommorow is a boring old school day we all got together today to celebrate

My grandparents gave me money and strict instructions not to spend it on nappies or anything for the kids

I can't remember if I have already asked this on the other thread so sorry if I did...

Has anybody every used/heard of nappy nation nappies? I have some size 2 nappies and size 3 wraps and might start using them again. They look a bit like tots from the outside but on the inside has lots of layers that flap out for drying, as in - from each size and at the top, rather than where tots have them coming from the top only. So is good for drying. But these are what I have found awful for drying crispy. Think I would need to tumble dry them TBH, the fabic is so rough if line dried, I hate the feel of it and wouldn't put it on DD like that. They are fine if tumble dried though.

4andnotout · 22/02/2009 23:09

I had a nappy nation AIO once which leaked like a sieve, but im not keen on AIO's in general.

soon2befamilyof4 · 22/02/2009 23:11

These are 2 part nappies, which I think are usually more reliable than AIOS?

soon2befamilyof4 · 22/02/2009 23:42

Has anybody tried ME AIOs?

lollipopmother · 23/02/2009 08:10

Last night was DDs first night in a disposable since 4 weeks old (now 5 months) so I'm a bit sad about it, but on the plus side it lasted 12hrs and her bum is nice and clear, the sore has healed nicely.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 23/02/2009 08:47

lollipop so glad lollipoppet is better. Sore bottoms can make them incredibly miserable. DD used to be prone to nappy rash, which seemed to coincide with teething

We used to have to resort to hydrocortisone cream which after a day would clear things up.

Do what works for you (Lollipoppet, I mean!)

Ugh, got caught short yesterday having forgotten DD's potty! My mom managed to convince her to use the 'pretend potty' which was a mayonnaise tub!

Thanks

Happy birthday to your ds2 drlove it's a very good day for a birthday, i was actually born a shrove tuesday and put my mum off of her pancakes, she hasn't forgiven me yet

Dp is back in my good books He bought me some red patent dm's and is taking me out for a meal tonight when the girls are all in bed. Im a bit nervous as have never left dd4 who is bf, but i have a cartoon of formula and sterile bottle incase of emergency. She usually sleeps through till about 2ish so they probably wont need it.

DD3 keeps eying up my birthday cake but we are not having it until dd1 and dp are home this evening.

Happy birthday 4!

Ooh, have had super exciting post to make up for crappo night of doom.
2 new ittis (red and peppermint, since you ask), 2 preloved bumhuggers and a preloved WNNN. Very excited about bumhuggers and WNNN, but the wrap situation is getting a little dire - the size 2 tots bots wrap gapes loads, and the small one really isn't big enough to contain the boosted night nappy - I used it the other night when we amazingly had no leaks, but I know I'm pushing my luck. Ordering some wool online today, so will get knitting my longies and then won't have to panic about night wraps.

swampster · 23/02/2009 14:51

Do you want a few pre-loved Airflows, Hopefully?

Hopefully · 23/02/2009 15:41

What size? I have one, but it's too small - it will cover an unboosted bamboozle, but nothing more really (DS isn't terribly chunky, and around 15lb). I sort of assumed it was a medium, but I got it from a friend and the writing on the label's rubbed off. Possibly it's a small

swampster · 23/02/2009 16:06

I should have a medium and loads of larges kicking about.

Hopefully · 23/02/2009 16:12

How much would you want for a large and a medium? Sorry if you've already posted about them earlier on...

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/02/2009 18:47

arghhhhhhhhhhhh you all ran away!!!!!!!!!!!!
