When we were checking the satellite on the Santa Tracker website at Christmas, DS1 called it the Santa Light! All Christmas eve we had to check the Santa Light.

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 20/01/2009 20:44

'sorely' means poorly and sore

Mummy, she is flashing her eyebrows at me! [fluttering her eyelashes]

Tell her not to come in, I am doing my private property. [my poo]

See saw, Margery Daw, (...) 'He shall learn just a penny a day because he can't learn any fa-a-ster.'

My son coined the term sunbreathing for sunbathing 24years ago and it's still that to me now. Very descriptive.

DD was watching a DVD the other day and asked if I could put pawprints on so she could go to the toilet. I eventually figured out she meant she wanted me to pause it (paws)

DD1 (nearly 4) informed me yesterday that they had watched a film at nursery called Anorak Obama.

DW later told me that the staff had taken them upstairs to watch the inauguration on telly.

JimJammum · 23/01/2009 15:28

Ds says crocodeal, rather than crocodile, which makes me wonder where he's getting his french accent from. Worms are "wums" and cuddle is "cuggle", despite the fact that he can say d as in daddy. I am v naughty and don't often correct things, in fact I now ask him for cuggles. Balloons are "bayoons". He has a friend called Nathaniel, who he calls Flannel, which makes me roar with laughter. I could go on....bless - he's only just 2, so the fact that we are getting such a huge volume of words still means that I love listening to him chatting away.

JimJammum · 23/01/2009 15:32

My sister, when she was little, recited the following: "Our Father, whose aunt lives in Devon, Hello be thy name.....". Still rofl now 20 odd years later.

My ds also misses the l out of clock, which causes much smothered giggles from me when he hands dh his watch with a triumphant "Daddy's c....."!

Homebird8 · 23/01/2009 15:35

DS2 can't say K sound. He replaces with T.
Try saying Quack...
Can't correct him because he just can't say it however often I model it and trying just makes him get cross and shout it really loud which raises eyebrows.

Homebird8 · 23/01/2009 15:36

Friends little girl talks about seeing a "daddy with the long legs"
