DS2 says "Mummy my heart is beeping"

And she never says Alexandre and Guillaume when talking about her brothers, but a contraction "AlexandreGuillaume". When she was very little she called them collectively "Miaullume" (she always saw them together). And she used to refer to her grandparents, who are Maminou and Papinou, as a collective Paminou.

LiffeyMummyPig · 09/01/2009 14:46

dd1 used to say flumb for thumb!

She warns her brother not to touch electric sockets incase he is electric shooted.

Hassled · 09/01/2009 14:47

We still have "huggles". It's part way between a hug and a cuddle.

And years ago DS played a computer game (first version of Civilisation) where he fought the Baby Lions. He meant the Babylonians. We still play Civ and still fight the Baby Lions whenever possible

francagoestohollywood · 09/01/2009 14:50

lol at farmer christmas

twoisplenty · 09/01/2009 14:50

My dd likes to go to the similar (cinema).

We still call wrapping paper, rabby beeby, because that's what she used to call it.

saadia · 09/01/2009 14:52

When something goes with something, eg "this car goes with the racing game", they always say that it "went a part of", which I never correct, and also don't understand why it's always in the past tense.

FAQtothefuture · 09/01/2009 14:52

oh blimey Hassled - you've brought back memories for me there. HOURS wasted in the schoo computer room in the evevnings (was a boarder) playing that game

twoisplenty · 09/01/2009 14:53

"I can do it all by my own" says my dd.

katiechops · 09/01/2009 14:54

DD (2.3 yo)says bum bum bees instead of bumble bees. DH and I have agreed to never correct her.

She was very excited that Santa Christmas came and left her presents.

Doodle2U · 09/01/2009 14:54

DD, aged 5 - the Scout Motto - "Be Repaired".

ThePudding · 09/01/2009 15:00

my dd calls dh 'mummydaddy'too!

civnet was a great game!

Bob Builder (her way)
I think its better without the 'the' too!

Chopchopmissy · 09/01/2009 15:00

my DS gets a "stummy ache"

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 09/01/2009 15:01

Eyebile.

katiechops · 09/01/2009 15:02

For some reason, Bob the Builder is known as The Happy Builder by DD. I quite like it.

BoffinMum · 09/01/2009 15:03

Four Descort (our car)
Chocolate declares
"Please may can I ..."
Brefkits
Disturve

BonsoirAnna, my dd put lots of of french bits in her sentences too. She uses "que" instead of "that" for example. It's very sweet. Or she literally translates the french way of saying something like "I arrived at doing XXXX" rather than "I just did xxxx"

mckenzie · 09/01/2009 15:08

DD calls her vagina her 'china'

2pt4kids · 09/01/2009 17:01

DS1 calls his Grandma 'Banma' (sounds like Bummer )

HarrogateMum · 09/01/2009 17:09

Aminal instead of animal

And my favourite - flingo instead of flamingo.

Poledra · 09/01/2009 17:09

We eat 'fin fingers' and have 'fingersnails' thanks to DD2.
And we have 'huggles' too, which are the special bedtime hugs, thanks to DD1.

Desiderata · 09/01/2009 17:10

ds has got a devil's trident, (for reasons which seem all too obvious to me), but apparently, it's not a trident. It's a trifle!

RachePache · 09/01/2009 17:13

huggles here too

and DS1 (aged 4) mixes up his Bs and Vs:

grabbel for gravel
graby for gravy
covered for cupboard

squatchette · 09/01/2009 17:14

Hostible-hospital.Appletite -as in lost my when not eating her dinner.Harvest vegetable rather than festival. Also says oat it and oaten it instead of eaten. These are all dd2 she's forever mixing up her words bless.
