DS is now 16.
But we still call sheep Fluff-Baas

NoBiggy · 14/01/2009 23:58

DD1 - terror rater for radiator, briffdid for breakfast.

DD2 - fessalant for elephant, gogurt for yogurt, Dr Doo for Dr Who.

melpomene · 15/01/2009 00:20

DD2 (3) says "moos-kick' for music, and 'High School Mooskickle'.

Dd1 (5) writes 'luv' whenever she signs a card or letter

LackaDAISYcal · 15/01/2009 13:34

My DS still says "please you may I have?" which sounds really cute.....he's nearly 7

happywomble · 15/01/2009 14:19

pooter instead of computer!

mymama · 15/01/2009 14:31

ds2 says

"mazagine" which I love.

"nenember" for remember.

"at dark time" for night time.

womblingalong · 15/01/2009 15:08

DD says

"I want to do it by my own mummy"

She can't say her L's, so her favourite song is "Yucky Yips"= Lucky Lips, Charyee and yoya = Charlie and Lola

Trampoline used to be the Jumpy Jumpy, as in "I want to go on the Jumpy Jumpy Mummy"

and when I used to say "Wheres your my little pony, she would cry and say its not yours, it's MY little pony! lol.

lljkk · 16/01/2009 11:01

DS also says 'By my own'.
But I do correct him, I never thought of it as cute!! He still says it his way no matter how much I correct.
The good thing about this thread is that it makes me feel much better about DS having a speech problem. Since I always try to correct him and don't indulge him in mispronunciations (which obviously a lot of people do, a bit, with their own DC, without apparent ill effects), I feel less like it's my fault his speech is so bad.

hedgepig · 16/01/2009 12:35

lombster for lobster, it is so cute

Weeteeny · 16/01/2009 12:43

DS1(4) calls his stepbrother "Jo-fuss" instead of Joseph

DS (18 months) has just started calling him Jo Jo.

Even Joe himself (aged 15) admits it is very endearing! Aw!

PuppyMonkey · 16/01/2009 12:45

DD2 (21 months) says "Bingy Bangs"... which means Weety Bangs... which of course is Weetabix....

pushchair · 16/01/2009 12:57

Docka docka-crocodile
Tuggles-puddles.

I'm noticing more evey day should write them down.

mrshammond · 16/01/2009 12:59

Not saying a word incorrectly but I love the way DS describes anything that didn't happen today as last night.

IE We did painting at nursery last night, or it was DDs birthday last night and she had a party.

He also likes bored eggs!!! (boiled)

Xavielli · 16/01/2009 13:07

DD, having a cold at Christmas, said to me "Mummy, my eyebrows hurt.. (obviously she had a headache, v.well put I thought!!)and I need some commixtyah!" (cough mixture, ie calpol)

When she was about 3 my neice used to refer to my sister and her husband as "Uncle Christmas and Aunti Nemo" (Chris and Naomi)

Xavielli · 16/01/2009 13:10

Womblingalong, we have charyee and yoya too!

DD also says alot of 'th' sounds as 'y' too.

"I want yis/yat one, over yere"

sarahmikeharryandrosie · 16/01/2009 13:25

my ds used to say dishlicious = instead of Delicious and even now we all say it!!!!!

cardy · 16/01/2009 13:27

When DD says the Lords Prayer (learnt at school) she says 'Our Father, Martin and Kevin'

mankymummy · 16/01/2009 13:31

current buzz lightyear fixation...

"buzz lighty" - buzz lightyear
"to in vinegary and to bomb" - to infinity and beyond

and on bee movie, at the beginning where barry says... "black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow, yeah yellow and black... lets shake it up a little", DS says

"waggle hello, waggle hello, waggle hello... hellooooo waggle... yeah lets shake it up a little". awww.

rebelmum72 · 16/01/2009 13:37

We make tea in a tee-pop.

When we've got a blocked up nose we need to put no-pops in it.

And every meal is dinna

woodstock3 · 17/01/2009 21:17

snorted tea all over the keyboard at 'to in vinegary and to bomb'
ds 20mo says 'shooter' for scooter ( we live in sarf london so i did get a shock when i asked what he'd seen with daddy iin the park and got the answer "shooter!").
'dude' for his cousin, jude. 'bum' for plum.
also we have a puppy who chewed a lot of stuff round the house when little and after being repeatedly told that his favourite book is missing a page because '(the dog) chewed it' ds now says it solemnly whenever he sees anything broken or marked anywhere in the house, regardless of whether the puppy was involved.
dh and i now use for anything ( dvds that get scratched, car pranged, house falling down, you name it). must stop actually as the poor puppy looks guilty whenever his name is mentioned.

Sibh · 17/01/2009 21:26

'In vinegary' chimes with us too.
DD1 got very attached to DS's Buzz and called him 'Beyond' for about 18 months.

Now DS is nearly six and has transformers he but always sings 'Transformers, morgan neet-zee-eye.' He refuses to believe that it's 'more than meets the eye.' It drives me round the twist ...

ilovetochat · 17/01/2009 21:28

jigsaw puddle.

Alishanty · 17/01/2009 22:25

duggle buggy

Cezzy · 17/01/2009 22:32

DD2 who is 5 says flake instead of fake, so nanny had a "flake" xmas tree - if only. .
