Doo-doo (Love you)
Underbrella (Umbrella) (made me smile to see you also said this FAQtotheFuture!)
Whimper-wipers (Window-wipers)
Outside-car (convertible car)

ZoeC · 20/01/2009 09:47

'I bangee head!'- when she's fallen over.
'My dooit'- when she wants to do something herslef.

fluffyanimal · 20/01/2009 09:57

My ds says 'umbloon' for balloon, 'umplooter' for computer, and he's also not very good at words beginning with vowels, so he has 'leyes' instead of eyes and 'warms' instead of arms. The dishwasher is for some reason the 'toastwesher'. We will also forever call washing machines 'round rounds'.

jackie cakes - jaffa cakes
Karen vans - caravan
barbra cube - BBQ

make me smile every time

and DS2 calls Father Christmas - BIG JESUS - always in a shouty way

Madmentalbint · 20/01/2009 10:09

My son (2) refers to all of his Aunts and Uncles as "Uncle Lindsey"

If you give him something he really wants, he says, "Oh, bank you"

His big sister (6) is prone to suddenly appearing with a crumpled, furious little face and declaring, "Mummy...Ben's tooken my toy dog...don't laugh, it's not funny!"

And the thing that keeps the room warm? That would be the radidator...

NormaJeanBaker · 20/01/2009 11:30

Diveeo - is DVD (mixed with video)
Ardy Doody - R2 D2
DS says Buzz Lightyear's surname is Starker Man (Buzz Lightyear to Star Command)

Soph73 · 20/01/2009 11:36

Moat control - remote control
Squeals - squirrels. DS1 can't pronounce his "r's" but I hate correcting him with this word as he sounds so cute when he says it
Grot pipe - quad bike

sobloodystupid · 20/01/2009 12:33

Hambrella for umbrella
Dindint for didn't.
Bekfast for breakfast.

CJCregg · 20/01/2009 13:03

Dirty clothes go in the washerine. My contact lenses are con lex, and both DCs still call a comic a mazageen - we all say it, I can't bear the thought of it ever changing ...

DS also has a tendency to 'shit' up at the table. This one I may need to correct.

mrsmortenharket · 20/01/2009 13:28

umbrolly for umbrella (sp?)
funny thing is tho, i saw some in a vending machine in shop in town the other day called ....

umbrolly

thefairies · 20/01/2009 13:33

My little two year old says "peas" instead of "please", so sometimes we tease her by saying "peas and carrots?", which thankfully she finds funny, too!

usedtoreadbooks · 20/01/2009 13:35

My 15mo said "no bye" very sadly the other day when I was trying to shut the fridge door and she wanted to look inside. It was the first time she'd put two words together. It was a bit heartbreaking.

wontbepreggersagain · 20/01/2009 13:49

Ahh kids- don't you love em!!

Dt's wanted to know when Farmer Christmas was coming- to be fair we do live in a rural area

i also dread being anywhere public when a truck passes- ds1 shouts at the top of his voice "MUM- LOOK, A FUCK!"

And for some unknown reason ds2 has decided that fruitshoots are "backshoots"- to the extent that dh has asked in somerfield " where do you keep the backshoots" (obviously he was buying them for someone else )

diddle · 20/01/2009 14:18

Ds says carols house for carousel
Coldy for cold
fall yoyo for fall over.

love it. i've tired to get him to say the correct words and he can say them so not going to correct him now at 2 1/2, he knows the real words.

This thread is so funny. kids are adorable

earthpixie · 20/01/2009 17:34

tak-tar for tractor

dd1, age 10

'mummy you really like stickleback don't you?'

'you know, stickleback, who sing that 'i wanna be a rockstar song'

haven't got the heart to correct her...stickleback is better

Snooch · 20/01/2009 20:39

Loving this thread! DS1 (21 months) says

guck for stuck
keekee for chicken
appa for caterpillar
wiggee for willy

Not many apart from myself and DH can understand him!

Lotster · 20/01/2009 20:41

Well today when my 2.5 year old pointed out a man in a "big hat", I replied "he's a Rastafarian, can you say it?"

To which he replied "RastaFiremanSam"

A classic.

sleepwhenidie · 20/01/2009 20:43

hopsital=hospital

gularilla=gorilla

tejavillain=television

up instead of in/at, as in "We live up London" - and we aren't originally from Yorkshire, which might explain that one!

The other day he started singing "for he's a jolly gopeller" and would not be persuaded that it should be anything else. It also took a long time for Rudolph to stop being Rudor.
