Me - Do you want to wear the blue ones or the white ones? DS1 - the blue woms. I just completely melt.
When slightly taken aback he exclaims, "Oh my never" mixing Well I never and Oh my word. I love it!

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 17/01/2009 22:52

DD1 called elephants 'ferrets'

DD2 gets 'very citing' about things
She likes going on the 'oncuter' (computer)

They both did 'fablius' and DD2 sings 'All Fings Fablius' from 'High School Usicool'

'Mummy do y'magine if dogs haff cloves on' Do y'magine is always asked in amused, chuckling voice and is always something daft - if we had arms stedoff noses?

ComeWhineWithMe · 17/01/2009 22:56

"I'm dungry" means "I'm hungry"

Having a peepo is having a poo because she likes to read peepo while on the potty.

"Mummy I need a peepo".

Felafels are "fluffles" in our house, courtesy of dd3 who also has "pickles" (freckles) on her nose, dd2 calls large things "hunormous" while dd1 loves "vallinna" ice cream

lottiejenkins · 17/01/2009 23:15

My ds is profoundly deaf so we get some brilliant words..........he is totally wonderful. He didnt learn to speak till he was seven. He used to try and say "mother" and it came out as "bugger" my mum is "graggy"[granny] my friends are Rub, Put and Amonia(Rob Pat and Antonia....] and his godparents Nettie and Tom are Nutty and Tum.
He told me he had a "plublum" the other day when a poster came off the wall. I soooooooooo love him!!

lottiejenkins · 17/01/2009 23:16

Oh yes and i get told to "dut da door"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

womblingfree · 17/01/2009 23:18

If DD does something that I didn't know she could do and I seem surprised she says:

"You were 'goshed' that I could do that weren't you mummy?"

Bizarre but v. cute!

pinkspottywellies · 17/01/2009 23:21

DD says beautilly instead of beautiful which sounds lovely! I don't correct her but do say it correctly myself and she said it right the other day - I was quite disappointed!

She also says adds an o in radiator so it sounds like radio-ator

She used to mis-pronounce my god-daughter's name and my friend and I thought it was so cute that we used to say it too then one day she said it right and we were gutted!

Dd has many too...

Names for various people. Ham = Sam.
Tayta = Tayler.
Roree = Rosie.
Mamar = Grandma (Ds also did this one)
Daddad = Grandad.
Aggie = Maggie.
Wawa = Joshua(she said this from about 6 months, it's her brothers name. He loves it too!)

She has trouble with her c's so
hup = cup.
Yespease/yeahpease = yes please.
Han change = remote control clever I thought!

Wowflow(pronounced ow not o)= flower.
Flafly = butterfly.
Boon = balloon.
Poon = spoon.
Happy = nappy ~ I love that
BiBi = bunny.
Tootle = turtle.
Eeyare = Eyore.
Uck = Duck(has become Guck recently)
Nilk/y, nork/y = milk.
Chatch = catch.

There are loads more that I can't think of right now.

Oh!
Boobies = Boobies

solo · 18/01/2009 01:18

Munch = lunch.

VictorianSqualor · 18/01/2009 01:18

We say 'Di' instead of finished'. We all do it because DS couldn't say finished' so we tried to get him to say 'done' and we ended up with 'Di'.

So we'll finish eating somewhere and DP will say to me 'Are you Di?'

shelleylou · 18/01/2009 01:54

ds (2.2) says beefcit for biscuit

Washersaurus · 18/01/2009 02:03

Our fave one is when DS1(3) calls a lobster a "lombster"...kind of a monster/lobster cross

mamadoc · 18/01/2009 14:20

I keep spotting them all the time now: Yesterday DD (22mo) asked for more hamwich (ham sandwich) at lunchtime.

PavlovtheCat · 18/01/2009 14:22

'sigusting' for disgusting

partyfairy · 18/01/2009 14:25

"Orchard pudding" instead of Yorkshire pudding is my favourite

auntyspan · 18/01/2009 14:35

DD1 calls milk "munk"... I don't have the heart to tell her it's wrong as she sounds so cute when she asks for "some munk please mummy"...

Marthasmama · 18/01/2009 14:36

Less cute, but quite funny - DS who had just turned five at the time, threw something in the direction of the bin and missed. 'Oh bollups' he said! . 'Excuse me!' I exclaimed 'Oh, that's what you say when you miss the bin'..... I had a word with occasionally sweary DH that night!

bunjies · 18/01/2009 14:48

Oh yes, we've had the lomster one with my two eldest. It's such a shame when they start to pronounce them properly.

Youngest dd(4) calls computers "minchooters" and enormous is "b'normous". She also can't pronouce the 'br' sound so bread is 'gread' and breakfast is greakfast!

Fleurlechaunte · 18/01/2009 14:49

Pank you - instead of thank you.

Coca-nola - instead of coco-cola.

Conunculars - instead of Binoculars.

Dd counts to forty but misses out every number with a 7 in it - 7, 17, 27, 37, just will not say them.

Dragonfly74 · 18/01/2009 14:58

For ages DS said Aggie instead of Daddy.
Milk is Muck
When his baby sister gives him kisses he says it is sgusting.
and magazines are Maggie beans.

FairLadyRantALot · 18/01/2009 21:45

well, ys(4) was talking about cugglelogs earlier...he meant catalogues, lol...

mrsmortenharket · 19/01/2009 09:21
