I thought it would be fun to share those little gems here.
Mine recently rubbed my pregnant belly and said, "Baby!" Then, without missing a beat touched my boob and exclaimed, "Booby!" 😵‍💫
And: while I was using the toilet came over to me, patted my leg and said, "Good job!" 👏

Got any to share? 😊

2 yo sat on his potty the other day (unprompted) and declared "what a grown up boy!"

Mine isn't a tot anymore but used to call all her toys Brian (we didn't know anyone called Brian, never understood where she got the name from).
She'd memorise one liners and slogans from ads and recite them at random times to random people like the lady on the till at Tesco.
She used to hold auctions with her toys as the audience because of homes under the hammer.
I love reading these threads brings back happy memories.

JumalanTerve · 17/11/2023 06:59

My 3yo found a toy we were both looking for the other day, and appparently he found it before I did because 'Daddy, I've got a thinkier brain than you'

andyourpointiswhat · 17/11/2023 07:14

3yo GD’s favourite game at the moment is “police and bandits” (mum is police) where she basically just tears around yelling “stop bandit”. She is still not reliably toilet trained and when DH saw her constantly pulling at her undies recently while playing he asked if she needed the potty. Her response was “grandad, even police people need to scratch their bums sometimes”.

DC holding up finger says: Mummy, take it.
I can't really see what is stuck to finger and reach over and take it off. Sticky? Yeah, it's a boogie. 😵‍💫🤦‍♀️

18 month DS has excitedly learnt the word "clock"

Today in the doctors we are sat next to a gentleman with a wrist watch on.
He points to him and screams, about 6 times in succession "CCK, CCK"!

I tried to explain he was trying to say clock with lots of nervous laughter. Lucky we were then called in...

When I used to collect my now 6 yo home from the childminder when she was a toddler we used to walk through a little dog walking park. At that time a tiny, cute fluffy toy dog breed used to run past us and my then 2 year old used to say at the top of her voice "miaow!" 😂

Imenti · 24/11/2023 21:09

My 4 year old sat and me down, got my hairbrush and said he wanted to play hairdressers. Then he says "soooo, been up to much lately?!" I died 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Bluey! 😄

When my youngest was little I breast fed her until she was about 2.5...by which point she could hold a full conversation. Anyways, taking my top and bra off one evening she points at my boobs, looks incredulous and goes "there's 2 of them?!"

Same child would refer to me as her minion.

CoalCraft · 25/11/2023 15:42

Recently toddler was going through a "who brought...?" Phase where she wanted to know who brought everything she saw. Led to the following conversation:

"Who brought me?"
"Mummy and Daddy did."
"Who brought Mummy?"
"Nanny X and Grandpa did."
"Who brought Daddy?"
"Nanny Y did."
"Oh... Why?"

Also, whenever she nicks something from her little sister:

Baby: Wahh!
Me: Hard stare* *I hope you didn't snatch that.
Toddler: She gived it to me!
Baby: Wahh! Grabby hands
Me: More hard stare
Toddler: Gives it back I sharing :)

When pregnant asking 4 year old whether they wanted a brother or sister.

They replied: Can we have a crocodile?

Scirocco · 25/11/2023 18:03

Today included a big protest because a pink and yellow sign in a shopping centre had, in DC's opinion, too much yellow and not enough pink. I'm not sure why this was my responsibility, but my refusal to fix it was unacceptable.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 25/11/2023 19:29

Oh, these ones are cute! Thanks for posting! ☺️

This morning I woke my dc with kisses and a song. DC opened eyes and said, Oh, hi, mummy! 🥰🥰🥰

DGD (nearly 2) has been told 'to sit nicely' a few times now - on a recent journey on the tube she was telling people standing up to 'sit down / sit down nice' and she wags her finger as she does it Grin
