…it was entirely up to you? If things like money/overpopulation/others opinions were not influencing or restricting your decision?

I’d think about it a bit more, if I had won the lottery and could be financially independent and a stay at home parent, and assuming overpopulation wasn’t an issue, but probably still just the wonderful one I have.

Lissiel0u · 05/11/2022 22:04

DS is 17. I’d have loved more, at least 2 more. But it wasn’t to be.

TheBirdintheCave · 05/11/2022 22:06

Three if I were richer and younger. In reality we'll be lucky to have a second.

If money etc. were no problem I'd easily be on 21 and counting (or similar)

blueshoes · 05/11/2022 22:08

2 is perfect. 3 if I had more time and money and did not have to give birth to it.

WhiteRabbitCandy · 05/11/2022 22:10

I'd have had 3, but I am very happy with my 2

MaydinEssex · 05/11/2022 22:11

I have one, and no desire to have anymore, I'm also an only child, my son also likes being an only child and he is is in his mid 20's

IncessantNameChanger · 05/11/2022 22:11
  1. But if you asked me at 16 it would have been zero. I have had a corporate job, travelled the world but my kids without a doubt are my happy place. Even though one is quite disabled I just get so much joy from them
Londonlade · 05/11/2022 22:12

I’d love 6

Unseelie · 05/11/2022 22:16

If biology and money had allowed, I’d have loved six.

GreyTS · 05/11/2022 22:16

I would have loved a 3rd, feel incredibly lucky with my 2, they are both so wonderful but there's always been a little niggle of regret

Apollonia1 · 05/11/2022 22:17

I have 2 (twins). That's after 7 years trying and 10 IVFs.
It only until reading this thread, that I realized it never entered my head to do more IVF for a third. So I guess I wanted one, but two is an incredible bonus.

That's a lovely post to read - not that you had such a hard road, of course, but that it feels so complete now you have your lovely children.

....it IS entirely up to me.
None.

forevercooking · 05/11/2022 22:29

I like to say a football team but I think 4 (I've got 2)

bravelittletiger · 05/11/2022 22:31

4...I might just about be "allowed" 3

QueenBeex · 05/11/2022 22:41

I would love 4. I'm now pregnant with my second and that'll be it now for me unfortunately, not due to anything listed above, I just have awful pregnancies and have been told they'll only get worse.

ahunf · 05/11/2022 22:45

I always wanted 3. I have two. My eldest is nearly 13 now. If my mental health was better and we had money I'd have had 3.

DrJump · 05/11/2022 22:46

4 or 5. We have three and it's hectic but I love being pregnant and the babies and also love the epicness of largish family so I think I would like being. But I am old and we are not flush with cash.

ahunf · 05/11/2022 22:49

SpinningFloppa · 05/11/2022 19:02

I have 4 but I would have stuck with one.

Did you have quads then?

Dragonskin · 05/11/2022 22:53

None

Wtf? I don't think you've understood the point of this thread - it's completely hypothetical.

Snugglemonkey · 05/11/2022 23:56

RedRiverShore2 · 05/11/2022 18:59

One, which is what I had

4 or 5. Maybe 6 depending on how it was having 5 😂
