…it was entirely up to you? If things like money/overpopulation/others opinions were not influencing or restricting your decision?

ParentsTrapped · 05/11/2022 21:02

4, but I met my DP when I was 33, and he already had one DC. Our second DC has additional needs, and our third DC miscarried. So I have 2 much loved, much cherished DC, and I'd have loved to have had 2 more before splitting with said DP who is now EXDP.

Sodie · 05/11/2022 21:07

Six, I have four (19yr old uni, 15yr, 12 and 10. I was broody for years. Until my daughter 12 almost died last year. She has been left disabled and I'm so glad I had no more children.

Floomobal · 05/11/2022 21:10

If finances allowed not working, AND having a nanny for an extra pair of hands, I’d have 4.

Just had our first baby, and I think I’d like one more in our current reality 😀

Whitewolf2 · 05/11/2022 21:10

I still don’t mentally think I could cope with more than 2, even with loads of money!

NoGoodUsernamee · 05/11/2022 21:11

if I had more money & bedrooms I’d have one more, I have 3.

dandelionthistle · 05/11/2022 21:12

I'm done at two. If money was no object (if I could afford a big enough house and to not have to work) I'd love four. I still have (I assume) several years of fertility ahead of me, but I can't see that the financial situation is going to change that drastically! Maybe if I win the lottery...

FatAntelope · 05/11/2022 21:12

Same as now 2.

PinkButtercups · 05/11/2022 21:13

I haven't ever really put a number on it.
We have 1 DS and twins on the way.

Icantthinkwhat · 05/11/2022 21:13

If overpopulation, finances not an issue.. definitely 6.
I had 3 but would have been happy to have twice as many.
Think I would work outside the home part time though and not go back until they started school. In reality I was back after Mat leave full time each time .

Songoftheseas · 05/11/2022 21:14

Zero.

Mycatsgoldtooth · 05/11/2022 21:14

5

Mommabear20 · 05/11/2022 21:14

If I could guarantee it'd be a boy I'd have another, making 4. We have 1 of each at the moment and expecting our second DD in the next few weeks, so would love a little brother for our DS (especially since all the cousins of the same age are girls).

Coconutcream123 · 05/11/2022 21:14

3 but I'm not sure I could go through pregnancy again.

emptythelitterbox · 05/11/2022 21:15

2 and I have 2

NCFT0922 · 05/11/2022 21:15

4! And I have 4! Absolutely love it and it’s perfect for us.

Littlesock · 05/11/2022 21:17

Four or five! I love the energy and noise of children. I adored my time with them when they were little. I like teens, and I love the idea of a big family when they’re all adults.

But we do not have that many!

DramaAlpaca · 05/11/2022 21:19

I have three. I'd have loved a fourth, but after 3 in under 4 years I think it might've broken me.

roarfeckingroarr · 05/11/2022 21:22

3 or 4. I don't much like pregnancy so probably 3.

Iguanainanigloo · 05/11/2022 21:23

I'd have 3 if money and time were easier to come by. But I feel physically, and mentally stretched with 2, so we're sticking with 2! Wish I'd had a third during the first lockdown and got the hellish years out the way when there was nothing better to do 🤣. Definitely not up for it now mine are both at school and for some sanity back.

DarkDarkNight · 05/11/2022 21:23

I always imagined having 3. I have one now partly due to him being a very needy baby and me splitting with my partner. I would love more but can’t see it happening now.

ThatshallotBaby · 05/11/2022 21:23

Four. I have three. Far too old now.

roarfeckingroarr · 05/11/2022 21:24

I couldn't care less about overpopulation etc now. It's purely the financial aspect of childcare. We pay £1200 pcm for 3 days at nursery and both juggle a day wfh with our 2 year old. I have another on the way. I suppose we could have a gap before number 3 and 4.
